It was a small job, and I called every Asphalt Contractor in Central Oregon that I could find for a quote. Only two of them called back- with the first one telling me they were too busy for a small job. Vic Russell Const called back and came out to my house to provide a quote. They were reasonable (providing a quote that was similar to the concrete quote I received for the same job) and friendly. The crew that completed the work did a great job and left a clean work site when they were finished. Everyone I dealt with at Vic Russell Const was friendly and professional.

This resulted in VR sending me a bill and led to me posting a true but very negative review here. Since then Vic came to my house and we discussed the problem. As a result of that discussion and Vic's assurance that changes will be made and additional customer service training will be provided to his employees I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and amending my review to neutral.

We were in constant communication and he kept me updated every step of the way. And the results were fantastic. Long review/full story: We worked together with an engineering company to draw up plans to remove a 30 ft load bearing wall. From start to finish, it was a roughly 4 month process (because of COVID) and Josh worked tirelessly from the planning process to a finished project. He does his own work and takes pride in the work that he does. He was very upfront and honest about any issues we were going to face during construction, and we worked together to find amenable solutions. Oftentimes, there are hiccups, delays, and unforeseen problems when dealing with construction and it's the contractor's job to communicate what's going on to the client and Josh is superb in this aspect. Over the 3 week construction process, we were in constant contact and tackled the problems together. Josh runs a top-notch company and his work is impeccable. There are little details in his work that tell you he really cares about what he does. You won't regret coming to Pacific Craft Construction with your project.

I cannot stress enough how refreshing this was in dealing with a contractor. They would let me know when they were planning on being at the house, what their goals were and updates on progress and any unexpected snags. The team at Pacific Craft has a keen eye on the big picture and small details of the remodel. When something came up that would delay one section of the house they had the forethought to pivot and work on another aspect of the house. They produced amazing results on the project. They have pride in their work and genuinely care about the customer and the finished project. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

I knew we'd never be able to get a perfect match for a color that is no longer manufactured, but Sandra found several swatches that were pretty darn close. My husband squawked at the price (like he always does about everything... no reflection on Color Tile's prices), so Sandra showed us several less expensive options, which were not as close in color to the old carpet we are keeping (in the upstairs bedrooms), but were still colors that were close enough that it wouldn't be a jolting color change when walking from room to room. We will probably have to replace all the carpet in about a year, so we'll get something I love later. Anyway, Sandra took about an hour to help me decide which swatch was the closest color in the mid-price range. All the colors start to look the same after a while. She's fabulous.
