July 14th, 2012 Squamish River rafting with Sunwolf
    Angela P.

What a great find! I was looking to go white-water rafting and I booked with Sunwolf. The tour was spectacular, but what really made it special was the people who run the show. There were about 20 guests on the tour that day, in three boats. As the day progressed, I realised our boat's guide was one of the partners in the project. It was really cool to be on a tour led by people who are so passioonate about what they do that they decided to run their own show. The operation consists of some cabins as well as fishing expeditions in addition to the rafting. There is also a small restaurant, which is of some note. The chef enjoys crafting delicious fare out of local produce which is to some degree grown in her own garden. She is also sensitive to needs of those with food allergies. This was a HUGE deal to me, as I do have a gluten allergy. I had let them know beforehand, but I wasn't expecting much. They totally blew my mind - I had my own cornbread muffin and a gluten-free brownie instead of the wheat roll and cookie the others enjoyed. My GF food was amazing, and instead of feeling less than human for not being able to eat wheat, they made me feel really cared-for. The rest of the food we had on the trip was divine. The raft tour stops at a little camp site on an island where they grilled up huge slabs of BC salmon and served it with quinoa salad, caesar salad, and the rolls. There was also chips and veggies with dip...all in all, very healthy and tasty and BY FAR the BEST food I have ever had on this type of tour (in the past I have been tossed a plastic-wrapped sandwich that is totally inedible to me). But back to the tour...I don't want to ruin it by spoling everything, but let's say you won't be bored at all. Great for novices and experienced alike; we had people ranging from 16 to 60 in our group who were all thrilled. There was plenty of white water and rapids, and also calmer areas where we were permitted to get directly in the river (hang on to the boat!). The guides were informative with regard to not only the geology and history of the area, but also told us some stories about the native peoples and wildlife. Additionally, we were informed about other things to do in the area...my time in Whistler is now full of other must-do activites that I would not otherwise have known about. When the tour concluded, we came back to the lodge/restaurant area, where we were served olives, pita, hummus, cucumber, water, & coffee. There was a professional photographer on the tour who made CDs with our photos available for purchase, which I bought, and I'm posting some pics here. They also have a video on You Tube you can watch if you want a better idea of what to expect. At any rate, if you are going to Whistler, you will do yourself a favor by choosing one of their tours, or even staying in one of their cabins if you really want to unplug (I plan to stay there on my next trip).

I'm not picky about music--I usually go with what's popular--but he made sure my music-loving guests had an amazing time. His transitions between songs and segments were seamless, from the processional to first dances and wedding games. What really stood out was his thoughtfulness; from where his DJ station was positioned, he was at a great angle and he captured some very special moments of my father/daughter dance and even uploaded them to Dropbox for me afterward. No one asked him to do that--it was such thoughtful gesture and nice touch! I really appreciated it. With everything else going on, I didn't have to worry about the music because DJ Sam was in control. DJ Sam is very personable too - meeting him for the first time at my wedding, I felt we could be friends! He has a warm personality and wants you and your guests to have a great time with the music he puts on. If you want a DJ who's skilled, knows music, can read crowds, and genuinely cares, 11/10 go with DJ Sam. You won't regret it.

We knew within minutes of our first Zoom meeting that he would be perfect and he was! He's a lovely human being to have around an event and he really cared about making sure we got exactly what we wanted. We gave him a list of songs/singers/bands we love and some "must plays" ahead of time and then he improvised. Had our entire party (including teens, adults and seniors) up on the dance floor for the whole night. On top of all that, he captured videos for us and sent them to us afterward. He caught some of my favorite moments on the night!

As someone who has a hard time letting others help for fear of anything less than perfect I was nervous to have a planner, but I cannot stress how much faith & trust I had in Carlee after our meetings together. Each time I mentioned to another one of our vendors that Carlee was our coordinator they praised us for making such a great choice! My husband & I have since talked to several of our friends who are planning their weddings & each time he says that hiring Carlee was the best decision we made. The days leading up to the wedding she sent out emails to each vendor double & triple checking they will be there at the correct time & always clued us in if there was any clarification needed. It was important to us to have a relaxed & enjoyable time at our wedding, as I'm sure most people hope for. Though I've yet to see that happen for others, as the day of is usually spent with family & the bride & groom running around setting up & making sure all is where it should be. The morning of our wedding I got a visit from Carlee, where she gleefully checked in & collected our vendor thank yous to pass out later for us. Then she was back downstairs creating the most beautiful ceremony/reception space we ever could have imagined. We had a walkthrough the day before where she took notes about what we envisioned & if something was different the day of, it was only because she had thought of a better & more efficient way to do it. If we ever decide to renew our vows we will be calling you again Carlee, maybe then we can do a warm destination trip to Hawaii! We are so unbelievably grateful & really truly owe our beautiful wedding day to you & everyone else who helped put it on! Thank you!

I found them online as I was looking to get quotes for my daughters 100 days party. Johnny Jenkins was extremely prompt in all of his responses. I ended up hiring him because of his reasonable pricing. I paid my deposit first to reserve my date, and Johnny helped me make my daughters 100 days party very special. He worked with me to design the perfect photo strip, and we even used my customized logo. The quality of photos that came out were gorgeous and glossy. Everyone at the event enjoyed the photobooth. The booth is very nice looking, and well kept, as well as his props. I've been to some events where the props look beat up, or old/dirty. You will not get this with Forever Captured. They have excellent free add-ons, as well as paid add-ons. Johnny brought an ipad kiosk for my guests to email their photobooth pictures directly. This was a huge plus and upgrade that most parties dont get to see. I also added on the scrapbook option. He provided pens and scrapbook supplies for people to leave us a copy of their photo strip & hand written message. Great company to hire for your special event. Smooth transaction, I highly recommend & will hire again!

There was a brief delay in email response with Johnny during busy wedding season at one point which made me a little anxious, but Johnny delivered exactly as promised! Reasonably-priced service. Thank you!
