After years of chiropractic work, massage therapy, stretching routines, hanging, and loosing 100lbs, I reached a plateau with my 15 year back and jaw injury recovery journey. I have known Dr Zhong for 23 years. 5 years years ago, I had stomach problem and western medicine could not resolve. I called Dr Zhong. She let me take my tongue's photo then sent to her. Dr. Zhong is amazing and a God send! I have been dealing with a terrible neck, back and ear pain for several years. I finally was diagnosed with TMJ but no one was still helping my symptoms. My ear felt like it wanted to "pop" (the feeling you get in an airplane) but never would. I was experiencing constant headaches from all the tension in my neck. Dr. Shangyou Zhong is a very skilled acupuncturist. I saw her for several months when I was suffering from back spasms. Acupuncture helped my situation significantly. She does take insurance but unfortunately mine didn't cover it at the time. It was about $100 out of pocket per session when I was a patient in 2005. I can say with great confidence that Dr. Zhong saved me. Earlier this year, I had Bell's Palsy, which is a condition that damages nerves in your face. I couldn't close my left eye, my face drooped and my neck was very tender. I am a 27 year old female so I was very upset about this sudden freakish ailment. A co-worker insisted that I go see her acupuncturist so I decided to give it a try. I had done acupuncture in the past and liked it, but never really got great results. When I called Dr. Zhong's office, I was able to get an appointment that day! I went to her three days in a row and came every week after that. Within a couple of weeks my Bell's Palsy was gone. Honestly, I was always weary about going to acupuncturists because I haven't had that much relief in the past from them... but ... WOW. Dr. Zhong is absolutely amazing.
