I loved this store!!!! Clean, well stocked, very nice and helpful employees . The prices are so low on most things I walked around in shock. Produce section looked like something out of a magazine. It was here that I found a nice selection of huckleberry products that I had searched for my whole trip. I loaded up and was impressed with the selection. A kind employee told me they would have more later when the berries were in season. I bought a few other grocery items here and they were all great. Loved the nice area in the deli where you can sit and eat. Beautiful concept...loved it. I will take advantage of this space next trip. I will definitely return here! read more

I visited this Super 1 Foods location for the first time a few days ago. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. My first impression of the store: it is neat and very organized. On the right of the store is a deli/seafood counter and a seating area. The seating area was closed due to COVID-19 but had lots of room for customers to sit and eat. The shelves were well stocked in all aisles. The produce section is probably what stood out the most to me. It all looked very fresh and the quality apeared to be good. The prices were a little higher than some stores, but I never mind paying more for better quality. The general appearance of the store is welcoming and they had a good selction of products. I will definitely stop here again the next time I am in Helena. read more

Super one is a consistently good grocery store chain. I regularly shop in the Flathead Valley locations since I live in Bigfork, and I find that the Helena location is conveniently located and has a great selection! But what is my favorite feature? The new Tesla Superchargers in the parking lot! I drive from Bigfork to Billings a lot to check up on my mom, and I prefer driving down the Swan, over McDonald Pass through Helena instead of going through Butte. The new Superchargers are super fast here, a 30 minute charge will get me to Billings. Just in time to get some sushi in the Deli and enjoy while watching Netflix in my car. Thank you Super One, put in a good word to add a supercharger in Kalispell! read more

Way overpriced and very limited selection on normal products. I bought three small packages of chicken breast tenders, one bag of chips, a can of salsa, four cans of sardines, a candle, one box of cereal, and a small bag of oatmeal and it was over $110. Im not exaggerating. For the size of store it is, its surprising that they dont carry a lot of common products. Want more than Tostitos salsa? Nope. Want more than two options for Huggies scents? Nope (they dont even carry the basic scent). Want chicken breast tender packages that have more than six tenders? Nope. Want more than one option of bagged oatmeal (not Quaker)? Nope. Want a gallon of vanilla almond milk or oatmilk? Nope. Need to buy a medium bristle toothbrush? You have two options. Want to get a small bag of dog food? You have three brands to choose from. Want Keurig coffee pods? You have a selection of only four or five brands, and if you want decaf you have two brands. The list goes on of trying to find standard product brands that they dont carry. We've tended to shop at Super One since they came to Helena but we're changing to WinnCo. Not going to name names but Super One has a front desk person at Super One who must be running for most abrasive customer service award for the Helena area . I recently went in to return some potatoes that had begun to rot shortly after being bought, only to be sternly lectured by her that it was my fault for not checking them before I bought them - she didn't take kindly to my response that perhaps Super One should check them before stocking them. They did replace my bag of potatoes but there's no need to be mean. In sharing my experience with others around town, I've learned I'm certainly not the only one who has had the pleasure of an encounter with the Super One customer service staffer. read more

Im gonna start by saying just dont shop here at all. Ive been shopping here for almost a year now, i go in 1-3 times a week because i live nearby and its convient. For starters ive gotten food poisioning from their fruits and veggies always being moldy. If you walk down their produce isle youll see mold on a solid 40% maybe even 50% of their fruit. Next i bought a wild caught salmon that had literal visible tape worms crawling across the top of it. And the final straw for me is my husband and I went to the store this weekend we got an entire weeks worth of groceries, my husbands ex military and him and his military friends wanted to go hang out this weekend so my husband got a six pack of beer. Something we have done many many times together in this store. Today we got to the checkout and as per normal the cashier requests for his ID. (i wont be listing names as appalling and disgusting as this situation was.) She proceeds to say that i whos just standing in line with him has to give her my ID too. Even though im not buying anything and i dont even drink but because im standing there i have to give my ID. I told her i dont drink im not paying and i dont have my ID on me. She proceeded to say he cant be buying drinks for minors. I told her hes my husband. She proceeded to say because im here with him i need my ID so i said can i leave and go home then? Then will you let my husband buy his alcohol. She proceeded to tell me no that she thinks that im just gonna wait outside so he can give a minor alcohol. So i proceed to ask if a man has kids at home are you gonna refuse to sell him alcohol because he has kids at home? She said no its different because theyre at home. So i asked can i just go home then again and she said no before finally going and getting her manager. Her manager comes in and starts accusing me of basically being some white trash trying to get a fix off of alcohol. And then proceeds to say that im trying to pull a sting opperation for the police. Accused my husband of potentially having a fake ID just because they were so incompetant that they couldnt read an out of state ID. then after they verrified it was in fact a real ID instead of appologising for literally harassing and descriminating against me infront of everyone they proceed to double down and say well we can still just refuse service so ya. My mom has worked in the grocery buisness for 30 years and said if this happened to her she would have sued. Dont shop here. read more

Whenever we get chicken etc. in the Deli Calvin is always very nice and courteous. We enjoy seeing him, we even say hello when we are not getting deli food..... Max (cashier) is very nice , pleasant and quiet. These two young men are a nice addition to your team. read more

My favorite store seems to be slipping. After I wrote the review about the deplorable treatment of food in the deli, I steered clear of the deli, and did my grocery shopping. I purchased a whole chicken to roast for guests on a Saturday, and when I opened the package on Sunday, the chicken was so rotten the slime made slobbery dangles to the tray. Needless to say, the smell was horrible, and my poor guests and I had lost our appetite for dinner, not to mention....I had nothing else defrosted. I returned it to the store, and of course they refunded my money, but made excuses saying there was nothing wrong in their meat department. I unfortunately see a lack of follow thru on the concerns of many who have seen the crimes against chicken in the Deli, and now are being quite cavalier about basic food safety. Salmonella can be deadly, so their lack of concern is cause for some who trust Super 1 with their family's safety. As much as I prefer their store, guess Albertsons is, at least, where I will be buying my meat and deli goods from this day forward. read more

Nice looking store, but they don't mark prices correctly - or at all. This is especially true in the produce department. Today for instance, I took a bag of cherries from underneath a big sign saying "Washington Sweet Cherries $3.98/lb". But at checkout the cashier said they were Rainier cherries, $7.98/lb. A week or so ago it was flowers - a whole display of them, with no price anywhere to be seen. Another time it was raspberries and cherry tomatoes. Also bulk coffee. When you ask a price, no one seems to know - and their attitude seems to be "if you have to ask, you can't afford it". I tried Winco the other day for the first time and really liked. Good selection, fresh - and prices (pretty low) clearly marked. read more

I love this store. Always helpful to me and friendly staff. Prices are a little high but lots of good sales. Deli is well stocked and good.

The store was pretty nice and good with some good sale prices when they first opened a few years ago, but they have really gone downhill. A couple weeks ago they had an order-now, pick-up-next-weekend sale on several canning produce items (beets, tomatoes, etc.) I ordered some cases of beets and drove the hour-plus from my home Sat. to pick them up as the instructions said they had to be picked up last Sat. or Sun. They were not in. I talked to several different employees and not a one was apologetic or even nice. Their view was, "they weren't on the truck, they should come in later." "When?" "We have no idea." "So will you call me when they arrive?" "Sure." Well, it's Wed. and I've heard nothing. So I called and asked for the produce dept. I sat on hold around an hour before giving up. Horrible--rather, non-existent--customer service. I will avoid them henceforth. Helena has other options, including a newer Winco just across the interstate from them. read more

I gave it 4 stars because everything is great about the store.... Except 1 of your Deli guys is on Drugs. He has sores all over his face, he spaces out all of the time. He never gets the order right, finally the guy in front of us tonight said just forget my order I changed my mind, and he left the store. read more

I used to buy all of my meat here because the prices were really great. The meat department seems to have gone downhill tremendously. The beef is really tough no matter what you do to it and ive cooked a lot of beef. The hamburger also has funny smell to it when I have bought it and opened the package and it gets worse as I cook it. The pork products labeled "Prairie Fresh" upsets my stomach so bad I had to stop buying it totally. I have no idea what is in it but it is not good. I don't have any problems with meat from any other grocery store so I just steer clear of the meat department here. I love the produce department and everything else is wonderful as far as prices go for all of my canned goods, dairy, frozen foods and such and even the dog/cat food and supplies for my pets. I also like it that they carry the western family brand as I like most of their stuff and it is definitely cheaper and I can get more bang for my buck. I am on a very strict budget and have to make my money go as far as I can and super 1 is the store to make that happen. it is a very clean store with friendly staff and i do most of my shopping here except for my meat. read more
