When we checked in, the clerk offered to have the breakfast attendant being a boxed breakfast up to our room. When the attendant brought breakfast the next morning, she then offered to bring us drinks. This hotel staff goes above and beyond for their guests, and we appreciate their generosity and hospitality.

If I had to guess, I would say that this hotel does not typically accomodate tourists. On one of…read moreour many adventures exploring the great province of Alberta, and at about 11 pm atfer a day full of driving around, we decided to start thinking about staying at a hotel after no luck finding a camping spot. We were a couple kms outside of Fox Creek when the driver (AKA my BF) decided to call it a night. We arrived in town to the strip of hotels/warehouses/shops/stores that greats those arriving to town. Call us a bit prissy, but having worked for the BW chain in my past I know what standards that most hotel chains like this are held to, so I feel much more comfortable staying in a chain. With my previous history with BW, I chose this hotel. It is judging by the number of 'rig rocket' (and by number I man they were ALL rig rockets) that I determine that maybe they are not so much for the tourist type. The check in process was fine (at $200.00/night...EEEEEKKKKK!!!), and the room was very nice and felt very new and clean. Here are the things that I was not overly pleased about; 1- $200.00+ room rate at 1130pm (but who are we kidding, we's in Oil Country baby...) 2- Being placed right outside the elevator (again 1130pm: max 20 vehicles in the parking lot; cant imagine the hotel is in a sold out state and this is the only room left in the entire hotel). 3- The climat could not be controlled; so the AC ran all night (not a fan of AC) 4- An amazing shower head (one of those big rain kinda type ones) but absolutely no water pressure (so the amazing shower head was no more than a weak trickle once it reached me). 5- Breakfast was OK, but I guess we came down during the staff breakfast, and I grew extremely frustrated/impatient waiting for a turn to get food while the staff took their time while socializing. I left after one yogurt and a few peices of ham because I could not even get in to make myself some toast. The next time we randomly end up in Fox Creek, I think we will give one of the many other chain hotels a try instead.

I stayed here as a break from the cold weather on a cross-country camping adventure…read more My partner, dog, and I were looking for something inexpensive and clean, that was pet friendly. This is the first hotel I've stayed at where they didn't charge us a Hidden fee for being "pet friendly". They honoured the discounted price I found online. Service was friendly, accommodating, and genuine. We called ahead to check availability. They didn't even make us pay up front, just took our name and preference for a king size. We parked here with TWO pickup trucks and a trailer. No problem, no questions asked, no charge. It gets better... the room had cable, hair dryer, mini fridge, microwave, coffee station, a balcony, was clean, and renovated bathrooms. We slept really well. No disturbances except the odd train going by nearby, but that's typical in this town. We were told there was a hot breakfast available for free in the morning from 6-10. This is not your average continental junk... we had FULL service. Placed an order from a menu, made to order, and unlimited coffee and juice. Photo of our breakfast is attached. Of course, we tipped 10$ cause we were so impressed that this was free. The total per night at this hotel worked out to be... well, let's just say it was under 100$. I don't want to have every person come in and quote our price ;). I HIGHLY recommend this Quality Inn. We are staying another night, and night try out the lounge/bar inside the hotel. I can't express how impressed I am with the value of this place. We will DEFINITELY be back. To top it all off, a doe and a fawn were trolling through the parking lot when I stepped outside this morning. Five stars!!!!

Considering I had to have a hockey bag in there I didn't feel squished like I was expecting. There was still plenty of room for the suitcase and us to move around. I loved the fact the restaurant (a Chinese / Cdn food place) and a Tim's is attached to the hotel - so despite the fact it was -30 with the windchill we could still enjoy food and drink without having to step outside. Perfect! There's a pool with waterslide (the hot tub was closed for repairs when we were there) but the kids all loved this feature. They kept the towels well stocked and it was nice because there was a little sofa for those of us not going in the water to be able to sit and watch the kids and not just stand around. They thought of it all.... Except the wifi. While the wifi is free (which is nice) it didn't work well. It was cutting in and out all night long and if I really wanted to get something done, I needed to be on my 3G. Which essentially meant, the work I thought I would be able to get done, didn't get done so that was not so good but maybe that means you get a break from work??? Not such a bad thing on occasion. And, maybe the wifi was just bad because there was just SO many kids on it.... I'd be willing to give it another try the next time I'm passing through. Whenever that might be!

Recently stayed at this hotel during a work trip to the Valleyview area…read more The Inn looks decent from the outside-in, the daytime staffs were a gem. However, I had an issue reaching out to the night time front desk staff. When I finally did, she came off cold and distant, answering rudely when I inquired about the hotel's wifi password. I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong or being bothersome by asking about the wifi info to work on reports. The room I stayed in was very clean and spacious, well organized as well if I might add. They offer continental breakfast to guests from 5-10am and there's a lovely new local restaurant attached to the hotel called The Boss. As well as a Tim Horton's, if you fancy good'ol Tim's. Had an amazing stay, had a soothing, sound nights rest; a much appreciated plus if you have to be up for 6am for work. Wouldn't mind staying in the location again, provided they offer more protein for breakfast
