they limit how many towels you can use, breakfast closes earlier than any hotel I've ever stayed at. no one is there after 11. unless it is yoir only choice, pick another. read more

Reserved over the phone through their main office the day before I arrived. The woman who checked me in seemed friendly. Check in went smoothly and even got a bigger bed than I requested. Parking lot is easy to maneuver and they have plenty of parking. The ac works good. The hotel is a bit dated but looks like it has been renovated fairly recently and the room appears clean. There was a fairly large crack in the sink but didn't seem to be leaking. No carpet, which I appreciate! There are several restaurants within 1-2 miles of the hotel. This hotel does have some extra amenities like the microwave, fridge, coffee maker but overall it's a no frills hotel. If you are looking for luxury it's not the place for you. But, it has everything you need. I would stay here again. read more

I booked this room two weeks in advance and needed it to be wheelchair accessible being that I am a quadriplegic incomplete in a power chair. When I got there the room that I had booked was not available according to the gentleman at the front desk, but then proceeded to book me to a double queen bed when it was just myself and with the restroom that I could not fit in. I had to use a bag and sit on the sideways so that I can use the restroom. We killed two spiders and the door had such a gap in it no matter the AC was on or off it was hot inside the room. This room cost me a total of 237 for two nights and was not worth it at all. Also the continental breakfast was nowhere near being up to par. The man at the front desk was very rude and not understanding of my disability. I do not recommend this motel at all. read more

Denied group's reservations upon arrival because some of the guests drivers licensed were the valid TX vertical licenses that this establishment refuses to accept even though the guests were of age and the licenses were all valid. Clerk not only refused service but called the police who verified that the licenses were valid. It's unfortunate that the actions by one employee will affect how I view this entire brand and what I will share with others. Thank you Best Western Giddings Inn for an outstanding experience instead. read more

Horrible experience. Me and my whole collegiate team were denied entry to the hotel due to us having vertical *valid and current* Texas drivers licenses. manager kept saying he did not accept under age licenses, regardless of us being 22 y/o. The manager then got irritated and called the police to have us removed from the property due to our vertical liceneses (which are completley legal and valid in texas). The police officer was just as confused as we were, but we left with no issue. Just extreme cofusion as to why we were denied service *to their totally empty hotel* just becuase we had valid, vertical, state issued, drivers' licenses. If you can fly, drive, buy a gun, alcohol, go to school, and literally any other hotel with a drivers license, why would it be invalid for this hotel? Would not reccomend this place or any of their staff. read more

Upon checking in the manager started sexually harassing me and wouldn't stop. I paid and extra night cash to the teenager working the front desk which she stole and told them I didn't pay. The manager went to my room and got my husband to which he became irate that it wasn't me (I wasn't available) he told my husband a price to pay but charged 3x that amount. When I found out I tried to get my money back but they wouldn't even listen to me and was very rude. The a/c went out in both rooms we were in and there are bugs. They are thieves and liars. Huge parking lot, very clean room, nice sized television and cold air conditioning. There's only one problem - the wifi connection is horrific. With 2 cell phones, a laptop and an amazon firestick, nothing would connect initially. After a long nap, my laptop finally connected but the internet was terribly slow and disconnected often. Trying to use the internet became a waste of time. I'll return the next time I'm in the area. Hopefully the wifi is improved. read more

Nice modern clean rooms... It's a great deal for a nice room and friendly staff... They had the air conditioner on when I got to my room... That was very refreshing. Lots of cable shows to watch and WiFi... Don't forget to try the good BBQ down the street. read more

Was highly disappointed this weekend. Booked our rooms online when my son went to check in and drop off his bags and turn on the ac. The owner told him he was gonna cancel his room due to the fact there was 2 rooms being booked under the same name!( him and his father had each booked a room)! One room was for my son and his girlfriend the other was for my daughter, myself and my husband. The owner saw my son was there with 3 of my nephews 2 of them are well over the age of 21 one is a minor but none of them were staying in the room! Owner then denied my son a room because he said and I quote" that looked very suspicious to him and he didn't know what they were gonna do!" To me it just sounded very racist. An hour goes by and me, my husband and my daughter pull up to get our room we had already booked and he had canceled our reservation as well, saying it was very suspicious and he didn't know what we were up to. I tried to explain to him that we always book a room every time we are in town at this location and I didn't understand what was so suspicious of us booking a room. He yelled at me, and told him he didn't care he was gonna cancel both our rooms and for us to go somewhere else. I told him that was fine and I would NEVER again stay there and told him I would leave a bad review, he then told me he didn't care if I did. But then got upset with me when I mentioned that again and said and I quote" ohhh so now you are gonna threaten me? I'm calling the cops on you! Don't leave I'm taking a pic of your truck!" I told him take a pic and call the cops I will wait here! I haven't done anything wrong! All we were trying to do was visit my in law for her bday we had traveled 4 hrs from home my son always books his own room even being under the age of 21 with no problems. My daughter is 4 months pregnant and we didn't want her to sleep on a pull out couch or on an air mattress so we got a room for her to at least sleep on a bed. But that will be the LAST time I stay in this run down hotel just to save a few extra dollars! When my son called the number posted on the window so he could check in the owner answered the phone by saying" hello? What do you want!" Cops were called on us and cops laughed at the fact that this owner called them for something that wasn't even an emergency! No one was threatened other than me claiming I was gonna post a bad review on such an unfriendly racist owner!! read more
