I rated this a 3 because, for the price, it IS okay. If you are expecting a La Quinta or Hyatt Place, Summerfield Suites, etc for $55, you AREN'T going to be thrilled. If you want a room that is clean (but not updated), a front desk clerk that is pleasant, microwave/fridge, and a shower with high water pressure, you'll be satisfied. The "breakfast" is nothing to speak of, packaged danish and cereal. The only real complaint I had is the odor of the cleaning products they use. I had to have the window of the room open for an hour to defuse it. I am very sensitive to that sort of thing, so others may not be bothered by it. A plus, for me was the free WiFi. We were part of a group of cyclist who booked rooms here months ago for te BPms150. Our rooms were quoted a low price, but when we arrived our rooms were cancelled despite having confirmation. The owner said "we can charge 3xs the rate you were quoted due to the BpMS150 riders needing rooms" it was a lot of stress and at the end of it all... We were shorted a room and charged more than double. While doing this the owner/ manager openly admitted he "raised the rates 3 x's for the weekend of BPMS150" After much debate, our rooms were shorted by 1, and charged more than double to original price, despite having confirmation showing otherwise. The rooms are large,when we pulled the bed covers back we found old used mattresses with labels from the MARRIOTT on it,building made odd noises all night long... suppose water running in pipes We accidentally left a camera in the room which we discovered missing 2 days later. I called the motel. They had our HD Go Pro in lost in found. They made NO effort to contact us dispute having booking info, address and phone#. I'd give 0 stars but just the fact they admitted they had camera is pretty amazing considering the bait and switch and basic set of ethics this business is being ran with. Stay away... Anyone who boasts about taking advantage of people who worked so hard raising money for a charity ... I really question their ethics. STAY AWAY... Very roomy room. Also very clean. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Will definitely keep them on our list in case we need a room again.

Too tired to drive back home to Houston from Sherwood Forest Faire, I booked a room here. My expectations were never high for this place. The front desk person was not personable. But I was only going to see her once. Room was clean. It was on a busy road, but with the a/c on all night I didn't hear a sound from outside. The shower head was very high pressure. But I like that sort of thing, so I was happy about that. The bed was very firm. Pillows were small, but I was able to sleep. Not bad at all for the price. read more

Look are deceiving, might need a little work on the outside, but this hotel so far has been great. Compared to others the furniture is nice, the room was very clean, TV worked just fine and internet as well. Locks on the doors and windows work great. Bathroom was clean and well stocked, the lady at the desk was very kind and took care of business. There is also a nice little pool, and a quick breakfast/coffee bar in the office lobby. So if you're looking for a safe, quiet comfortable stay near many food choices that will save you money. This place is your treasure. read more

I cannot express strongly enough my dissatisfaction with this place, at which I stayed on a Friday night prior to attending the Sherwood Forest Faire that weekend. When I arrived at (almost 11:00pm) the lobby was already locked up and unlit, and I had to ring and knock repeatedly before someone came out of the back -- clearly having been asleep already. All communication was through a more secure window/slot than a bank would have, making it almost impossible to understand his already difficult accent. He acted as though he couldn't find my online reservation, so I had to fill out paperwork by hand as though none had been made, and upon my complaining he agreed that it wasn't really necessary since he did have the info. When making the online reservation I indicated that I would be paying in cash, and gave a credit card number at that time to "hold the reservation" yet he kept insisting that I give him a credit card, which I refused to do and insisted that he take cash without a card -- which he finally did. He then had to search his map to find a room; clearly none was assigned and awaiting. And to top it off that room was already occupied, and I scared the hell out of the lady already sleeping in it when I opened the door and encountered the inner safety lock. Going back to the office, and waiting again through ringing and knocking for the same apparently-sleeping man, I watched him search again until he finally settled on another room. The room, when I finally got one of my own, was no better or worse than I had expected when I reserved it online. The Saturday morning continental breakfast is the minimum one might expect. That same guy was still on duty when I went at almost 9:00am. And last but not least, when I went to check out, my credit card was almost charged despite my having paid in cash the night before when I checked in. we didn't even make it 2 hours at this hotel. local workers that were staying at the property began partying outside our room in the parking lot by 6pm. front desk was called but they said they could do nothing about it since "they were paying customers". I'm sorry, but NO. about the time they got their bbq grill and 2 additional coolers of beer out we left. hotel management was awful and would not refund our money - DON'T EVER STAY HERE unless you want a dirty, crap motel where you can party in the parking lot read more
