I also had to have a company credit card shipped to the hotel and they had it waiting for me at the front desk. So bravo to the management and staff here! Thank you for making my chicken after a very long day so easy. I have a two queen room, with very comfortable beds. The room has a dresser, mini fridge, microwave coffee maker, hairdryer, and Desk for me to work at when I'm not in the office. There's a spacious closet and the bathroom is large and not cramped. The continental breakfast has everything you need or want and is included in your room price. And I love the social happy hour, the pool, the hot tub and gym are all great amenities. Their toiletries selection, snack and drinks selection are more affordable than some convenient stores. That saved me when I didn't have a car and realized I forgot several items. Saint Charles location is in the middle of its own little town and there are restaurants and stores all around it so you really don't even need a car. I was able to Uber to and from work and then find whatever I needed at the hotel or right around it

Whatever housekeeping used as an industrial strength deodorizer to mask whatever odor they were trying to cover up was worse than a room full of plus sized ladies marinating in cheap perfume. It appeared they had sprayed the bed with it but at worst case it could have been from the previous guest. No other rooms were available and it was too late to cancel so I toughed it out hoping not to get sick. In the morning, I spoke with the clerk at the front desk and asked that the room be redone without scented sheets and pillowcases The guy took all the info and I also messaged the day manager about it as well while I was working a convention. So, when I returned that evening I entered the room only to discover nothing had been done and it still reeked to high heaven. So I went to the desk and told Anne, the woman on duty about it and invited her to go down and have a sniff. She said she couldn't leave as she had no help, but did get to work right away contacting the manager and arranging an available room for me. She showed me that all the notes were right there and that the morning clerk had informed the manager who subsequently informed housekeeping which is where the ball was dropped. Anyway, I got into another room that did not stink thanks to Anne's patient and persistent efforts. She is a five-star employee, whoever ignored instructions to clean the room a one-star employee. Companies could use more employees like Anne and fewer of whoever the skiver is.

Boone's Colonial is not a traditional bed and breakfast. First, there is no one on-sight. You must call before arrival and the innkeeper will let you in and give you the keys. Second, there isn't a breakfast, though there are snacks and water. Finally, they do have nightly housekeeping. In regards to staying, there are pros and cons. 1. We stayed in the French Colonial suite. This suite is street level and walks out onto the pedestrian sidewalk. It wasn't overly noisy, but lacked privacy. Lots of people walked by and glanced into the windows of our room. Also, you can hear street traffic at night though that died down after midnight. I thought the "right in the heart of it" location was fun once I got over the initial shock. 2. There was another couple on the first floor with us staying in the Spanish Colonial suite. That room is also street level but faces the back alley. It has a queen bed, the French has a king. We did not hear them at all which was a pleasant surprise in an old building. 3. The room had its own air conditioner but I'm not convinced it worked. Well, it worked, but I don't think it ever got as cool as we wanted at night. 4. We brought our son and they made a little cot up for him which was very nice. 5. The room is missing a few comforts including an ironing board, a safe, lotion, a fan, and we only had two pillows. 6. The room has Netflix. 7. I had read on the Inn's site that it came with French bath products and a Colonial nightgown set. It did not. The bath products and towels were definitely a missed opportunity to make the stay extra special. The products were all mismatched samples and the towels were worn. 8. The bed is very comfortable. We slept well. Overall, at $250 per night, I think the price is a little much for what you get, but it's a very nice room and the location seems safe and fun. We were most definitely comfortable.

This price included the $50 pet fee but we were also required to put down an $100 deposit, making our total $311 just to book for the night. This price wouldn't be *awful* if the place/amenities matched the price, but unfortunately that's not the case. Stains in and around the bathroom sink, you can hear the people below/beside you talking, the door to the bathroom takes some serious muscle to shut, and their bed pillows are about half the size of a standard pillow. Pros: Beds are firm and somewhat comfortable. Front desk staff is incredibly personable and kind. They had available rooms when nobody else did. Cons: Not at all worth the price. If you're in a pickle and there is nowhere else to go, this place offers enough to confidently rest for a few hours - but at a steep price. Otherwise, book elsewhere.

I had a very late check-in. 1:30AM and there was someone avail. to ring me in and had very quick and smooth communication at the front desk. Parking for bigger trucks will be found around the side of the hotel. The room was on the 4th floor. Very clean and everything was in working order. No bugs or loud noises. Gym was clean but in high use. Pool was semi indoors, clean and had an open patio area. Breakfast was simple and not horrible. Not like the bigger hotels where they have made to order staffed stations. More like a step above the continental stuff. Hot eggs , breakfast meats, pancakes, oatmeal, teas and coffee, and juice concentrate drinks, as well as soda pop for those who don't drink coffee or tea. Service at the hotel was more than great. No problems all. It's not a huge resort or anything. It's in a mall parking lot area. The happy hour was not that good. Had hot dogs , chili , cheese , chips, salad, Mac n cheese and pulled pork. Wasn't impressed. I tried to jazz things up but I needed to get to sleep and leave very early so that was my dinner. But that's the reason I took a star off. I would stay here again.

The staff were very nice and courteous from everyone I encountered while there. I arrived early and my room was available, which I was thankful for; however, the early check in fee was a little steep but at least they were able to charge less due to the agreement with the conference organizer. The last day of the conference I asked to have a late checkout as I wanted to be able to go back to my room after 12 pm and change clothes. I was told that for a late checkout it'd be a charge of half the room rate. That was way too much. I wasn't going to stay long, I just wanted to keep my clothes in the room until I could come back and change before heading out the door to the airport. I'd recommend this resort to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the St. Louis area and look forward to my next trip...I'll just make sure not to check in early, or ask for a late checkout.

I saw one employee knock into a couple people as he was trying to hurry through the crowd. The Brilliance Ballroom does not have stadium seating which was dreadful. It got crazy when everyone tried to leave at the end of the performance. That's when we saw Patrick the security person bark at people and we saw him rough up an older man. Patrick should be back office and not interacting with customers. We were going to gamble in the casino but after seeing Patrick's behavior we decided not to spend any more of our money here. I'm sure Patrick deals with drunk and unruly customers all the time but his behavior was way out of bounds.
