Got threatened by front desk after I said I would leave a bad review regarding the crime, drug use, prostitution and pan handling.... I asked for a refund and the front desk clerk with a foreign accent said I wasn't allowed to be upset over the phone... I told him yo call the cops if he felt threatened, the clerk said what for? Clerk said he already has my credit card info and copy of my ID. To me that sounds like a threat in itself. I reported my ID and credit card stolen after that. Pretty sure the manager and clerk are invested in some type of crime, all of the room tenants are.... so why not them? read more

This motel has been remodeling updating every room for a much better experience. Each room has a microwave refrigerator, which is a plus in my book and the rooms weren't that bad before but they're even better and nicer. It is located ideally right next to the 10 freeway a whole bunch of shopping centers. In the great UPLAND California if you're a Wyndham member you get discounts/ earn point for your stay. When I book a motel room, I'm not expecting luxury, obviously, but I do expect a clean, cared for room, and a DECENT night's sleep. Wyndam, get your stuff together. This is obviously a property that just gets barely maintained and it looks like no one cares. When I first entered, I was thinking, okay, it's clean, I'm happy, and then I changed my mind. After seeing the other reviews that are just like mine, it solidifies that Wyndham doesn't care that this motel is a tarnish to it's name. I mean, if I were them I'd take my name off it because they apparently don't plan on making things better. The bad: I can forgive all of the below EXCEPT the fact there was some kind of machinery whine ALL NIGHT LONG in the walls. I barely slept and left hours earlier than I had planned, exhausted. What a miserable night! -The pillows were the WORST. Tiny squares that felt like someone rolled up lumpy sheets and shoved them in a pillow case. All 4 were like that and they were not comfortable! -The bathroom tub had hair, and worse, I swear one of them was a pubic hair. -The walls appear dirty. Doesn't mean they are, just means they look it. -The paint. Ugh. It just looks like they don't care. Peeling paint, etc. -Replace the darn bathroom door. They aren't very expensive at Home Depot, which is pretty close to this location. Yuck. -The mirror had a large crack in it. -The 2 desks were old and scratched -The desk chair had cracks and tears. -The drapes had small tears and were dirty. -I met a couple staying upstairs who had to kill a couple of cockroaches, luckily, I didn't see any in my room -"Free light breakfast". Oy. A hard Kirkland granola bar, a Hostess "cupcake", and instant oatmeal. No water, a basic necessity and needed for the oatmeal. There was no bowl for the oatmeal and the coffee cups were really small so it seemed like they were trying to be funny with that. There was fresh coffee. How about no "breakfast" and lower the room rate. Absolutely horrible experience. We checked into this hotel and within minutes saw roaches in the room. My daughter was bitten by bedbugs almost immediately. I refused to stay even 10 minutes and requested a refund. Thankfully they refunded me, after asking a few times and moving me 3 different rooms within less than 30 min but the rooms were completely unacceptable and unsanitary. Location was good for where we needed to be but that was far as it went. When we initially rang for information the lady who answered the phone was abrupt. We had seen rates on a couple of booking sites which were in the $80's but when i asked her the rate she abruptly said $100. When I told her about the other rates she again abruptly said "book online". Due to the location, we booked anyway and luckily, we were only there for one night. There was no one at reception, the door was locked, and the sign said use the night window. I went to the night window and a guy strolled up and said in there, pointing to the reception area. I said it's locked and again he said in there. He was very abrupt when processing our check in. We got to our room with about an hour to spare before we had to go out, so we turned on the TV. Most of the channels we wanted to watch did not work, so I went back to reception, told the guy, and he said he would be up in 10-15 minutes. He said that "with all the crazy people who stay here they probably pulled the cable out". An hour later we went out. The guy was strolling around the property. An hour after we returned (around 9:30) there was a knock on our door with the guy asking if he could look at the TV. I told him it was way too late; we were going to bed. As for the room: Two very small pillows that did not work for us. Bedspread had cigarette holes in it (I saw another review with the same comment) even though it is a non-smoking room. Curtain had slices in it, as if someone had sliced it with a knife. Bed was hard and not very comfortable. Air conditioning worked but was very loud and kept cutting in and out all night. The bath/shower was dirty. We didn't need to use it. In the morning when we decided to have a cup of complimentary coffee in the room. The coffee maker still had the coffee pod from the previous room guest in it. When I told the guy at reception, he looked at me as if I was mad then reluctantly said he would talk to the maid. The breakfast: In the small foyer/reception area. The juice machine was out of order. The coffee pot was nearly empty. We had to tell him, (when he decided to come into the office) and he again reluctantly refilled it. Breakfast consisted of a couple of packaged pastries, a few granola bars and some packets of oats. There was no milk for the oats. For the coffee there was just a container of powdered creamer and a container of sugar. The only reason this place got a 1 from us is because of the location. The comment by the guy at reception "with all the crazy people who stay here they probably pulled the cable out" is enough to turn anyone away. Not only for the apparent level of custom, but for the fact the reception guy would even say something like that. It is rather obvious he has no respect for his own establishment. read more

Where to begin! Horrible service, continuously being hung up by a male caller named 'Phillip' when trying to book or ask hotel questions, mainly noticed there was a language barrier so it easier for caller to keep hanging up. Drove to location due to closest to event that we had that day. We couldn't enter the reception area and a sign that read to be seen at night window, all the while we saw a man strolling around the area that looked as if he had nothing better to do, when we rang the call button the same man with a heavy accent casually walked by us and said he'd talk to us shortly, again no regard to customer service. Eventually when he entered to tend to us, he was short and abrupt as if he was bothered, we reluctantly booked online to get a better deal, 1st room assigned was #228, and the photos show the disgusting look of restrooms in general, this was actually a video which can't be posted here showing the showerhead didn't work, again we called to report this and that none of the appliances worked (blow dryer, microwave, fridge) and Phillip stated he was busy with people and could not arrive to check the breaker until 15-20min. We were already delayed for event, so we grasped our stuff to be changed rooms as we couldn't wait and the audacity of being questioned if we used the room (not even 10minutes In that room) because he would need to call cleaning crew if we did, which seemed it hadn't been cleaned either way, floors dingy, dusty at baseboards and obvious photo of what the shower looked like. Only room available was that with 2 beds and Phillip graciously mentioned he wouldn't charge us extra for it, mind you it was only 2 of us and extra bed was actually an inconvenience but for sake of event proceeded with room. Upon use of shower, the towel had a thick pube looking hair stuck on it. The shower curtain was so ripped and tattered surprised how it even held up and failed to hold the water in making a puddle mess when stepping out. We noticed ice machines, however to our surprise didn't function and was so old and dingy filled with dust in tray and mold where the water is filtered, definitely a health hazard. Following morning went to reception area for the 'lite' breakfast, juice machine out of order, bottle juices in fridge, coffee pot had like 1 serving left, served coffee and it was either old or nasty that it made us literally sick. Only bags of unwanted flavor of oats and some granola bars and no milk or even water to even have oats to begin with. Only reason a 1 star was the convenience to our event and basically no other choice. Book at your own risk read more

let's start by saying when we got our room it smelled like rotted fruit. the first night we slept fine but was greeted with multiple roaches ( baby roaches and big ones ) and once we woke up we immediately went to the front office to get a different room. thankfully we got a different room and nothing appeared wrong with it until we checked the bathroom. right by the bath tub was black mold ( 2 spots ). " daily house keeping " is non existent. you have to request it and even if you do if it's to late they'll come at the crack ass of dawn 2-3 days later. " daily breakfast " is hostess cupcakes, twinkies, and expired oatmeal, and on top of that you have to SHARE a jug of apple juice with others that are staying there. it's not worth it to stay here longer than 1-2 days. it's cheap for a reason. read more

I occasionally help my house less friend with a room here once a month sometimes more. The staff is great especially Jenna and Phillip at the front desk. It's urgent my guy gets in before regular check in and they always accommodate me. The rooms are super clean and the grounds are too. I would stay here if necessary and Connals is next door (best food ever) and shopping center across the street (CVS, Aldi, Handel's ice cream, etc...) Conveniently next door to the 10 freeway and Mobil / Circle K. I recommend this motel highly for anybody who needs one in the area. read more

An absolute dump. Everything is in total disrepair. No painted surface is without missing paint and/or scuffs. The enamel patch all over the tub looked like it was done by a third grader. The floor had a slippery film on it, but walking in stocking feet revealed it was far from clean but rather covered in lint and hair. No washcloths. No tissues. Hole in the seat cushion. Shower was for those under five feet tall, and leaked all over the bathroom floor. Bathroom fan didn't work. Traffic noise was brutal. Staff acted like guests were an inconvenience. So bad we had three nights reserved and canceled after one night. I'd rather camp than stay in such a filthy place. read more

I stayed here because I arrived in California late at night and needed to rest. The mirror is broken and the carpet in the room is gross, stained and dirty. The sidewalk and landing outside the second floor room door smelled like urine. The cement needs to be power washed with water and disinfectant. I'm only reviewing this so I don't accidentally stay here again. There is a beautiful view of the mountains from the street and has great potential if renovated. I would not recommend. read more

This has to be the most disgusting hotel/room I have ever stayed in. It was ten at night when I arrived. Staff extremely rude. I walked into the room to see a huge hole in the wall. The shower/bathtub was disgusting, mold everywhere and cracks painted over. No shower curtain. Everything was sticky. I slept with my clothes on and left at daybreak. I booked it through a reputable booking company. This hotel should NOT be in their itinerary. I would not even rate this a one but I could not post this without it. read more

When making my reservation the rooms look so nice and clean on the website but then when they give you the key to your room you get a surprise and it's not a good one. The first room we got was room 129. It was very filthy it smelled like someone just took a shower and it was very humid in the room. There was hairs in the restroom on the toilet in the shower on the floor the carpet was gross. I don't think the fridge or anything was really wipe down and we went to go get a different room so they moved us to room 127 that room was also disgusting the fridge was very filthy coffee maker was gross the toilet was gross the shower was gross honestly I picked the wrong place to stay. I was very surprised because Wyndham usually has nice hotels and motels. That's why I chose this place. Maybe they're not aware of this exact location on how it's being ran and cleaned but. I do not recommend anybody staying here is very dirty maybe other locations are cleaner but please do not come to this one. I pretty much threw my money away. I guess this is what happens when you try to save money. I'm just glad the person I was traveling with was able to keep me company and put a smile on my face. read more

Arrived late in the evening and was told there were only rooms available with two beds and the price was $148. Told the guy we only needed one bed and a less expensive room and were again told he only had the more expensive rooms. There were only 5 cars in the lot so we pressed him and he finally gave us a room for $85. The room was clean but the amenities were poor. Two lumpy under- sized pillows on the bed and no fitted sheet. Also had cigarette burns on the bed spread. The walls and ceiling have repaired damage. The shower had very hot water but needed updating and was oretty dusgusting. The floor was sticky, hopefully from extra disinfectant. Someone had smoked in the room which was not very well camouflaged by a peppermint spray. A bonus was that the air conditioner was loud enough to just about down out the freeway noise. Could not log into wifi...tried several times without success. read more

Rude people, uncaring about blocking our room exit. We are in a handicap accessible room and 3 time today I had to push my way out of my room. I told the front desk and was informed to tell them my self no one was around. I believe this is a fire hazard and blocking our only exit. This is a less than zero review. I escape after 3 nights of a losing battle with bedbugs. The pictures I emailed to my KP PCP ( THANKS KP for life saving treatment pre-COVID 19!) we're so bad I now am taking prescription antibiotics. Unlike every other 21st century hotelier with hardwood or tile floors ANY OLD DARK-COLOR-TO-HIDE-STAINS carpet is a haven for bedbugs which are hazardous to human health. Being proactive, I requested a transfer to a property with hardwood floors ( same person(s?) own both hotels. Not only was I refused, I was accused of calling the hardwood floored property to complain about bedbugs. Ideally they need to refund my entire 7 night stay! read more

Sleep in your car, its more clean less awkward. This was a spontaneous stay after a very long night where I was too tired to continue driving. I was greeted by an obsessed clerk who sat in a chair and was too lazy to walk 5 feet to the window to conduct our business transaction. I only coaxed her to the window after repeatedly saying I couldn't hear her. When I pulled up to my room, I was being watched by a old man with his window wide open as though he was waiting for me to arrive. As I stepped out of my car, my suspicion was confirmed as he stood up from his bed, naked and no longer servicing himself. As I walked toward my room, he stepped out of his room still naked, flagged me down with a ice bucket in hand and asked if I could fetch him some ice. When I declined, he said he would pay me for it. So unbelievable that I only hope what was going on was some kind of prank. The room was nasty, stained lamp shades, cigarette burned curtains, woman's hair on toilet, scrapped toilet seat and tub, old ineffective shower curtain. I didn't expect this place to be great but I did expect it to be quiet, professional and clean at a minimum considering it is a well known chain of motels. read more

Horrible. My uncle passed away and we needed a place to stay near my aunts house in Upland. I though, Upland, everything is pretty decent in Upland. Boy was I wrong!!! There where prostitutes doing tricks out of rooms, the Hooka lounge behind the Hotel bumed music until 2am keeping my 4 year old up all night crying. Cops came to the parling lot.. it was all and all the worst Hotel expirence I have ever had. You couldn't pay me $1000 to stay there. No way. Save your money there is a nice hotel about 3 blocks down from this one, which is very clean and where we ended up at. read more

Bought a room ahead of time and went to check in and was assigned my room and when I went in to settle in the bed was messed up and the TV was on as if someone had just got up to use the restroom um hellerrrr that's not cool so I went to get it fixed at the office and when I went into my other room it was so gross. Would give this less than 1 star if possible. Showed up and a hand written sign at 6:30pm said put to lunch until after 7:15. Night manager finally came back my key card would not work. Night manager proceeded to ostracize me in front of other customers about how it worked. It worked for him. I told him to try it again it worked after the 7th try. He told me if I didn't like the system "I could go check out right now". This is the first and last time I will go for a cheap stay. Purchased my room online. Arrived to check in they require a 100 dollar deposit which WAS NOT STATED ONLINE when I requested to change dates or refund my funds the declined both! Was supposed to be staying at this hotel this weekend. I cancelled my reservation about 2 weeks ago. It was actually the manager that supposedly cancelled my room. He was very rude on the phone when I had called. He asked me for my name and the dates I was staying. Then said okay, and hung up on me. No goodbye, no confirmation, no nothing. Just hung up the phone. Now today I see in my bank account that I still got charged!! I called and the first girl I spoke with told me the manager was out and will call me back. 5 hours later and still no call. So I call back again. Talked to a different girl. The manager is there but refuses to talk to me. She said it's his "day off". Why are you even at work if you don't want to help customers that you screwed over?? He's supposedly calling me tomorrow. I enjoyed my stay in room 230, this place has two buildings. I was probably 6/7 rooms away from the freeway and yes it's loud, but you have to be a light sleeper to complain, comfortable bed & nice size shower is all you need. I will admit they need to upgrade their televisions. Small fridge kept my drink cold. A/C unit was good. Plenty of parking and just off a side street. Convenient restaurant next door and small shopping plaza across the street. read more

I don't know for certain but I believe that this Super 8 just sold within the last week. I stayed at this Super 8 on the April 26th of 2019 and had a horrid experience but it was corrected by some new management that had crews out working on the hotel. Some of the staff may not be retrained yet, but from speaking with the new management team they will be and in a fast order. read more

My experience was OK. Price was low - like under $55 with taxes. I arrived early and asked for a quiet room. Well there isn't any guarantee of a quiet room especially on a Friday night. I had only one noise instance and it wasn't local, but still loud enough to be slightly disruptive - but - soon disappeared. I needed to be close to that location for the night, and all my other options were farther away and almost twice the price. Since this may become an annual event, I plan to return next year.
