Not the best, but not the worst motel. While this Super 8 was not the cheapest in the area, it seemed like a good enough deal to give them a try. The staff was friendly at check-in and I was given a room very close to the lobby, so that was convenient. The room was one of the standard, but modern Super 8 redesigns. The beds were comfortable enough, but the room lacked in other areas. There were not enough outlets for the microwave, so you either had to unplug the main light for the room or the fridge, just to use it. There was also a glaring stain on the seat of one of the chairs. Things weren't great in the bathroom either. There was no toilet paper on the roll and the shower only had about three minutes of hot water before it went cold. Breakfast in the morning was okay. Fairly standard for Super 8s. I wouldn't recommend staying here if it's out of your way, but if you need somewhere to crash, at least the beds are good. read more

Friendly staff. Good rooms. Very good pricing. Asked for extra towels and pillows. Were very accommodating. Arrived late without reservation, was able to get a room on a busy Friday night. Plenty of parking. Vending machines. Pizza Hut next door practically. On highway feeder road about 1/2 mi down. Use navigation. They were able to put us downstairs, as we have a senior doggie, and he couldn't do the stairs. They don't have an elevator, so you do need to request a downstairs room at booking. Close to food, necessity shopping, gas, and freeway on ramps. Would stay again if we ever come thru again. Offer simple continental breakfast. Takes doggies. $20 pet fee. read more

If there were a "0" rating that is what this establishment would get. This "newly renovated" motel left a lot to be desired. First and foremost the management was horrible. The couple running this place we're having extremely loud domestic issues (our over-priced nonsmoking room was directly across from their private living quarters) and it altercation was unsettling. The breakfast was high carb and high sugar with not one healthy alternative. Additionally the manager/owner Wife was yelling at people who were trying to enjoy their breakfast to attend to the waffle maker and pancake server instead of coming out from behind the counter and taking care of the breakfast area herself. I witnessed this two mornings in a row. Ridiculous! Upon check out, my father was charged for a room he didn't occupy or reserve, my brother was charged for an additional room and they tried to charge me for a third night an hour after I checked out and left. I paid for two nights in advance and stayed for those two nights. At check out I observed another guest check out and leave only to return to the desk as she was also charged for an additional night. When arguments got intense the male manager suddenly lost most of his English speaking skill. These people are SHADY. I will be contacting Wyndham on Monday along with the Better Business Bureau. The room (119) appeared to have fresh paint, but the carpeting was not installed properly and was flopped over and hanging on the floor, bath floor tiles were cracked, there was ugly gold paint on the bathroom floor. Bathroom floor was NOT clean around the stool and under the counter. Must say that the bed mattresses were firm and cozy. Very nice. The husband and wife team mgrs/owners were RUDE! Their daughter was more even keeled, but she too had to operate by the mgrs' edicts. The mini fridge was not clean and had a foul, stale odor. I didn't look in the microwave. Additionally, the security doors were NOT locked at night as stated by the signage near the door - so not exactly a secure building. We were thankful for heavy room doors with good locks. Run, don't walk away from this place. The owner/manager over billed so many people and was an ASS when confronted about his "mistake" time and time again. This guy has quite a racket going. Never Again! I would rather sleep in my car. read more

If you're looking for a 5 star hotel with all of the bells and whistles, keep driving. If you're looking for a clean place to sleep at a very reasonable (cheap) price, this place rocks! It's pet friendly with smoking and non-smoking rooms. TV was a flat screen with the normal channels, plus a fridge and microwave. I'd stay here again and save my cash for gas! read more

My family & stayed in four motels over the Christmas & New Years holidays from Missouri, Indiana, West Virginia & Virginia. This motel was the BEST of the four "Choice Hotels!" We stayed in this one coming back to Missouri on New Years Day early morning after getting delayed in Warrenton because of sleet & snow. We checked in around 2am. Our room was the cleanest! The beds were the best! Thank you Super 8 Warrenton! I will remember your cleanliness & beds! I have Degenerative Disc Disease & your queen beds were firm but, soft. Clarion near Fredericksburg was a absolutely HORRIBLE! Beds were literally hard boards & there was a dog urine smell in the corner near where my daughter slept that was very strong throughout the night! Whole place was repulsive! You guys being the best out of four different places in four different states, speaks volumes! read more

We've stayed at hotels ranging from cheap roach motels to expensive, probably too expensive for us hotels so we've seen the range of prices and varieties. This was a little below our average for $70 a night. I probably would have rates it a 2, but the staff (family?) was kind. :) One of the first signs of saving money for owners to me is chinsey towels... And that there are only two "big" towels per room. I get it that people probably lift towels and such, but just a first impression of a cheap (not just in price) hotel. I don't think hotel owners realize it's the little things that people remember when reflecting on their trip... Well, besides a comfortable mattress and a clean room... Spend a few dollars and have some fruit at the front desk and 2 small bottles of water (just the little ones!) in the room. Charge and extra dollar for the room... Anyway... Just immediately felt that they were 'being cheap' when you walked in to the motel and room. The room was mostly clean but there was enough stickiness on the carpet that we left our shoes on in the room... And didn't use the bed cover. They did have waffles! My husband was happy. There was no hot food and no fruit. There was some egg like things in the frig (yellow and flat?) that you could heat up... I toasted a bagle and was going to put cream cheese on it but when I opened the (unrefrigerated) cream cheese, it didn't looks very good. :(. So I used some (unrefrigerated) butter and that was OK. Like I said, I probably would have given the rating a 2 (and I don't Yelp so much but if you look at my ratings, I think I am fair and justified and they go from 1 (because there is no 0) to a 5)... But... I rated a 3 because the staff member (wife owner?) gladly traded me a regular coffee for a decaf and gave me an extra towel for the room. She did ask my room number which is fine because I know people probably lift towels but I was thinking... Naaaa... Not the kind of towel I would think about lifting. We might or might not stay again when our path takes us this way. read more

First time staying here. The gentleman that checked us in was super nice. We were able to just walk in and grab a room for only $55. The room was clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast was great. They had a waffle maker which my son loved. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. read more

Glad I'm only passing through, but if I ever come back this way I will make sure NOT to stop here. My non smoking room smells like an ashtray. The lobby smells like something died in it, was deep fried, then killed again. Paid way to much for the room but it was the only room available in the area... not even a fridge or microwave. This run down, out dated building should be condemned and burnt with an old priest and young priest present. read more

I wish I could give this zero stars instead of one, because one is way too high!!I made a reservation for a king bed room via Hotels.com. When we arrived, there were a group of people smoking at the front door. Not a good first impression, but it gets worse. The front desk clerk acted like I was annoying him to check in. Then he told me that my address on my drivers license was wrong (nope) and acted even MORE annoyed to update it. A one night reservation on Hotels.com required pre-payment, which I did. He argued with me that I hadn't prepaid and only Travelocity and Hotels.com did prepayment and my reservation was through Expedia!! Wrong again. I offered to show him my confirmation email, but he kept arguing. I must have finally convinced him because he grumbled something I couldn't understand and gave me a keycard and the receipt to sign. I read it over and it had us in a single queen bed room. I told him this was also incorrect and he got belligerent!! I had the email confirmation on my phone open and again tried to show him that it clearly stated a king bed room, but he just kept arguing that "his system" showed I had only paid for a queen. I reminded him that his system had already been wrong twice (although I think it was more him being shady than anything else). He asked if we wanted to cancel the reservation, knowing full well that I would be charged for the room regardless. We took it, thinking it was only one night, it was late and we were paying for it one way or the other. The room was awful. The air wasn't on, it was hot and very muggy. It was the first room off the lobby facing the parking lot, with a bench sitting right under our window. I'm not sure which was worse, the light or the noise. The bed was beyond awful. The most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on. About 4am, they started setting out what they called breakfast (cereal and toast) banging against the wall at the head of the bed. I couldn't get out of there fast enough, but when I checked out I had to ask for a receipt, which was met with major attitude. I'll sleep in my Jeep before I'd stay here again. read more

It seems fine, not great and not bad. Check in was smooth and the room is reasonably clean- not the best but not too bad. You do get what you pay for, as long as you understand that concept you'll be alright. It is not a luxury motel by any means. read more

When I checked out, the manager gave me a lecture about not taking food to my room from the breakfast bar. My wife and I took food back to our rooms because the TV was loudly blaring and there was no staff member around with whom to address the issue. There was a sign asking guests not to take food to their room but, of course, we didn't notice it. I'm not sure what the manager hoped to prove but we will certainly not stay at this Super 8 again. We made reservations 2 weeks prior to our trip and they held the room with a credit card but did not charge us anything until we actually arrived. There were 3 cars in the front parking lot so I assumed they weren't booked up. Upon checking in with our reservation I requested if there was a room on the back side of the building. The noise from traffic on I-70 in front of the building was non stop and disturbing. I was told no there are no rooms available. I said okay and was given the key cards to room 212. We took our stuff upstairs and sat down for about 30 min. My wife wanted to go for a walk, so we walked around the building, now it is about 6:30 and there are 2 cars on the back side of the building and 4 in front. The room was clean and the bathroom looked brand new. The only comment I will make is in the future I will request a room where the traffic noise is not so loud. This was booked online so I didn't actually talk to a human. The internet worked fine, no complaints. The price was comparable to other hotels in this area, perhaps a few dollars cheaper. There are a few restaurants just up the road but not really walking distance. Domino's Pizza was almost next door for carryout. We read some previous reviews of this establishment which were not positive. Our opinion is there are definitely signs of improvement and the management is doing some remodeling, perhaps the reason for some rooms not being available. I would stay here again if in the area. No negatives here. 4 stars for improvement from previous customers. read more
