I showed the email confirmation but they said they had been sold out since earlier that day and we should have never been able to make the reservation in the first place. We had to find another motel that night and were charged by priceline for the room. I have disputed this with my credit card company and they asked me to get an email confirmation from Motel 6 in Percival to provide proof we did not stay at this motel that night. I spoke to Twila, the manager who ended up telling me that her Franchise Agent said they are not allowed to get involved. I asked for his number to try to explain the situation and she refused to give it. She said she would call him and give him my number but she doubted he would return my call. I find this to be very rude to not be able to just get a confirmation email that we were not able to use the reservation. Motel 6 got their money for that room, and we were charged from priceline. I filed a complaint with BBB hoping to get some resolution.

The two ladies at the front desk who checked us in were incredibly friendly, took the time to chat with us, and made us feel more like guests than just another reservation. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered--from the daytime team to the nighttime staff--was professional, kind, and genuinely helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with beds that made it easy to relax after a long day. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, making it a great place to unwind. We also loved the amenities, including the large pool, hot tub, and sauna. A special shout-out to Chase at the front desk. He truly went above and beyond when we wanted to extend our stay. Even though the lodge was nearly booked, he worked hard to find a solution and helped us secure a second night. That level of customer service is rare and very much appreciated. What stood out most about our stay wasn't just the beautiful property--it was the people. Every member of the team made us feel welcomed and valued. And to make it worse, I was sent on a wild goose chase trying to find vending machines, only to discover both were out of order. So you're basically forced into paying their prices. Rooms were okay and the beds were comfortable, but the pillows were oddly small, square, and not great to sleep on. The bathrooms felt cramped, outdated, and had a slightly musky smell. Overall, looks nice at first glance, but the experience doesn't really match the setting.

When we were finally able to speak to a manager some hours later he ARGUED back and forth that that was not a valid reason to issue a refund. Very unprofessional and very very poor experience. Traveling here on business, this is a wonderful alternative to the several local hotels. With a motto of "Come here as a guest, and leave as family." -- it's more than true after my 3-day stay. Super comfy bed, and very quiet -- I slept just great! Lots of extra blankets and pillows if needed. Each room has the comforts of your own TV with cable, but I felt more than welcome to be downstairs in the main room with the big-screen TV, a large fireplace, and lots of seating/recliner choices. Free wifi/internet is provided. For breakfast, Carol and Ron both chip-in and provide an excellent breakfast. There are 4 or more choices to choose from, and the night before - just place your order and time - and it'll be ready. I recommend Carol's special scrambled eggs (bacon, cheese, peppers, onions) - awesome! Because of the time of year, it didn't happened to have many other guests. The one downside - it has a shared bathroom. There are several bathrooms within the lodge, so I guess it wouldn't be too much of a problem. The highlight of the time spent here was getting to know the very sweet people of Ron and Carol. They are warm, open, kind, and generous people who are in the right business of serving others and sharing their home.
