But this was my last time going there. I hope others don't keep taking their abuse, there are other dollar trees to go to where they have good customer service and workers are pleasant.

I'm not a germaphobe, nor am I obsessed with cleanliness, especially while shopping at ANY discount retail chain. But the lavatory at this particular Dollar Tree in Malden was the most filthy, disgusting public bathroom I've ever witnessed. Trash was overflowing from the overfilled plastic bin and spilling onto the floor. The toilet area was strewn with debris, including no less than 7 EMPTY paper towel rolls. Aside the toilet were two ominous looking black buckets - one was dirty and empty, but the other bucket was half full of slimy standing water, with trash floating in it! The sink area was equally squalid, with large stains on the walls, a rusty dripping faucet, and an empty paper towel dispenser. And this isn't a case of the store being too busy for one day and someone forgetting to restock. This type of 'dirty' is foul, grimy, and nasty - gradually accumulated from carelessness and neglect for a long time. Whomever manages this location should be ashamed for allowing the bathroom to get this trashed. And not only for allowing the public to see it, but for making Dollar Tree employees work in such a nasty environment. The final kicker? The bathroom is located at the end of the cleaning supply aisle - literally hundreds of cleaning products a few feet away from the world's most disgusting lavatory ever. Really grossed out. :(

This ocean state job lot is located in the Fellsway Plaza. It's been there for a while. I go in…read moreevery once in a while when I feel like wasting a little time in the food aisles. They have a great selection of eccentric foods. You can find a lot of things here at a big discount or just a selection of items that you don't see anywhere else. They have a good selection of cat products at a great price. Always frequent their Christmas section approximately mid November because they put out a nice section, but it disappears quickly. They have some great programs. They also have an eat for free program. A special table usually has a dozen or two items on it and if you buy them whatever it costs they give you a gift card for the exact same amount of money. I think it's just a way for them not to throw things away pretty cool. Every once in a while, you can get lucky and they'll be a good product on the eat for free table. The store isn't as clean as you would want it to be, but it is a warehouse type location and they don't have many people working there for such a big store. It's a huge plaza. You'll always get a spot.

So it has a special place in my heart, or it's just a bad habit acquired over the past 35 years?? Either way Northgate has evolved quite a bit since the 80's. Northgate now houses a lot of stores including 2 supermarkets, a gym, McDonalds, Taco Bell, a few anchor stores and much much more.
