Darn, our girl Katherine took my eyebrows off and they're uneven. I've grown my eyebrows out for the past year, so I was excited to have a fresh "canvas" and maximize their ability to CLEAN UP my eyebrows and leave them thick and shaped. Unfortunately, I'll have to start the process of regrowing them again. Pros: I've heard great things about Vida (who I intended to do my eyebrows). So, I am willing to come back for her and I can't judge the whole place off of one girl's service. Cons: I had to leave the with uneven brows. Ladies, eyebrows are a tough service to get. Remember there's nothing a little make up can't cover up.

The first time I went, it was a great experience. I loved my eyebrows. I always tip three or four dollars. This time I went and the young lady left a gap in the front of my eyebrow. I just noticed it right now. Usually the service is great, but just make sure to check before you leave.

Wow! That's what's I think every single time I leave Super Brows in Grossmont. Vida is my favorite staff member from this establishment. She is so attentive to details, extremely friendly, professional, and most importantly phenomenal at what she does. I would recommend this place and Vida as a threader! Y'all... I've been going to Super Brows for years, letting Nahida tame my brows each time! She doesn't miss lol. She's patient, gentle and always ask the shape you're going for and what after care you'd like. I want to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to VIDA!!!! She has done an amazing job in my brows and clean with threading! I never have to explain anything to her more than once. I may ask her for suggestions and she walks me through it! I am so get thankful that she listens and is super patient. My brows haven't looked this good in a long time & I thank Vida for guiding me through the process. I am very thankful for all the girls at the salon! Always cleans & takes care of their customers efficiently. FYI please so online and make your appointment. Yes, walk ins are accepted but it's easier and runs a lot smoother in case there's a wait. I was in need of a threading and could not find any place open and nearby to get it done. I found this place on Maps and gave them a shot. There was no wait time, and to check in was very easy. I know I'm not the only one missing Martina and wondering what happened to her. She's been my go-to threader for almost two years!! Martina has been on sick leave for a while but she WILL return when she's well. I love Super Brows. It's very clean, the prices are good and all the threaders are great. I walked in 3 mins late to my appt and Vida was working on another customer which is fine with me since I know most services are done within 10mins. But by the time she finished and checked her out it made me 10mins over my appt time and the next appt arrived. So instead of nicely saying you were late I am taking her next. She accused me of being 10mins late and said you have to wait. So I told her that is fine but I was not 10mins late. End of the day I walked out and told her services were no longer needed. read more

Really happy to find my new go-to spot to get my threading done. I use to go to Beauty by Dolly in Hillcrest but the commute and parking there and long wait for my preferred threader was not the most convenient, so I decided to try a spot closer to home. Glad I did. Vida gets me right and it's very easy to be in and out with a scheduled appointment. read more

Ask for Vida! Ive been coming for about 6 months and she does a great job on my eye brows! I'm very particular since I have been getting them threaded for over 10 years. My eyebrows are so important to me. Vida does a great job cleaning them up and then helping me shape them. Ive been asked if my eyebrow are micro bladed on since coming to Vida...She is great.... You won't be disappointed. read more

I can't believe anyone would even say anything nice about this racially hostile establishment. If negative stars were possible... This place would be a proud recipient. I've tried to go here twice now and both times I've been turned away due to store hours closing (at 1845) and "wait times" when I am the only one in the store. I am completely disgusted by the condescending and ill mannered staff running the show at this should be out of business establishment. In a customer service oriented business; staff should accommodate the customer an allotment of 15 minutes. Especially when Google states they close at 1900 yet they state 1845. On both occasions of me trying to pay for service here I felt discriminated against because of my race. I am saddened that in 2016 in America we are not all seeing each other as one race; the human race. A tip to the owner; please get new staff or lose business on a daily basis. Thanks! read more

I drive all the way from PB here to get my brows done (at least 30 minutes on a good day). I've been several places all over San Diego and I like these ladies by far the best. Vida does mine every time, (and I may have spelled your name wrong I'm the worst with name spelling) but she's awesome. Does a great time every time and that consistency is everything! read more

I specifically told her I had been growing my eyebrows out for months. I am so unhappy with how thin and uneven my eyebrows are!! I literally burst into tears every time I look at my reflection, it's embarrassing (it doesn't help that I'm pregnant and can't control my emotions rn). It would be okay that they're thin if she did it for the sake of making them even. But one eyebrow is a lot thinner than the other one AND the shapes are different. Because I am pregnant, I've noticed my hair grows a lot thinner than it used to so I have no idea if they'll even grow back the same, if at all. It has already been a week and there is no eyebrow growth whatsoever yet. read more

I didn't win the raffle but the winner wanted a wax, nothing more. Reina's couldn't do this so she offered the certificate to me as she knew I really wanted microblading done. The winner told me the business had verbally approved the transfer-- as they should seeing as it was hers to do with what she pleased after winning! Moving forward..... so I buy this GC... I'm stoked! Next day I contacted Reinas to book, told them I was the one who purchased raffle ticket from winner.... Etc. Lady told me this was being offered by artist Nazzii. I requested her insta.. all checked out... and that very same day she had a cancellation! I was then told to shoot her a text of my brows before the appointment. I then text the photos to Nazzii and immediately she said she doesn't work on brows done by previous artists. Kind of weird since it's a SEMI PERMANENT tattoo that calls for touch ups every 2-4 years (depending on skin type, sun exposure, etc etc.). And In my case, it'd been over three years... ANYWAYS....that was pretty much it. No mention of corrective options, removal, or starting fresh. Just statement that she doesn't work over other artists TATTOO* (ahem-- I don't have tattooed eyebrows!) followed by a message stating that "Microblading is a natural individual hair stroke on natural brows". .....yes this is correct.... And your point is.....???? Pshh Her alternative offer: one brow tint. One brow tint. For a $600 certificate. Ya know... if terms and conditions were disclosed prior to the raffle....All would be fine. And come on ---The original winner couldn't even swap it for a basic brow wax (which is fine they only thread)..... but the fact I couldn't use it for the service it was issued for... no no no. And the business's solution was a single tint service worth maybe $20. When I agreed to just a manicure the response was a sarcastic "thank you." First impressions are the reveal and this one said everything. If this is how repeat customers are treated over the phone it's clear long term business isn't a priority. They've lost a customer and I won't be recommending this place to anyone.

I've waited long enough to write a review for this place but I think it's time. I've been coming here for almost 2 years now & I love it!! At the beginning I had my eyebrows done by different girls, but now Martina is my girl!! She's awesome. I usually give an eyebrow place one chance...maybe two. If they ruin my brows, I never ever return. Because for me, one hair taken out of the wrong place will look like I have a hole in my eyebrows, b/c they're thick & dark. So...when I first moved here, I needed to find a threading salon; been threading them for years. Tried a few places, in El Cajon, even one in Hillcrest, but wasn't completely satisfied. Then I found Super Brows, I had them done but one of the girls, won't mention names. They came out good enough for me to return but still wasn't super impressed. Went back a few times til I had them done by Martina, she was really good, cleaned them really well; I didn't want the shape to be changed but they weren't trimmed enough to stand out. So the second time, I explained to her what I wanted, she listened..very patiently, did exactly I wanted, didn't thin them out, and after she's completely finished, even if I wanted her to take out another hair, or fix the shape in any way, she's more than happy to do it. She won't roll her eyes or show that she's irritated in ANY WAY! And yes, many ladies do that if you comment about something after they're finished (I mean in general, not specifically this salon). I have read a couple of reviews about this salon being dirty...WHAT!?!? It's really nice & clean and if you're bothered by them using the brush on your face to clean up the hair, you can just ask for a tissue! I am very satisfied with the service I receive at this salon & hope I would never have to look for another one. read more

When I was 15, my mom took me to some local salon to have my bushy eyebrows waxed. Well, I would have rather the bushy eyebrows over the terribly wonky, over-waxed brows that I left with. After that, I plucked my eyebrows for several years. That is, up until now. After hearing my girlfriends rave about the eyebrow threading that they do at Super Brows, I decided I was totally sick and tired of plucking and that I would give this place a shot. My eyebrows grow back fast, so I thought I'd take the chance. My first impression of Super Brows was that it's very very clean and the people who work there are friendly. I had no idea what to expect with the threading but I was absolutely shocked by how quickly the woman did my brows. It was like, zip zap and they were done. She asked me if I wanted to look in the mirror to see if I wanted anymore taken off and, hallelujah, they were perfect!! I was so pleasantly surprised with threading and by the obvious skills that this woman at Super Brows has. I'm a pretty big wuss and, although there was a little bit of pulling and pinching, it wasn't any worse than when I pluck at home. Maybe the woman at Super Brows is exceptionally gentle, I don't know, but I will definitely be back for another threading session. read more

I brought my teenage daughter in for her first eyebrow threading, and while her brows turned out great, the overall experience was disappointing. The staff didn't seem very welcoming, and the woman who helped us seemed disinterested. After we tipped a generous amount, we noticed her roll her eyes to a coworker, which felt really disrespectful. First impressions matter, and sadly, we didn't feel valued as customers. We'll be finding another place with better customer care. read more
