I was moving from the North Shore and before doing so, I contacted a bunch of movers. I didn't have the standard 2 bd or 3rd, my sister and I lived together and each brought or belongings and furniture plus some things of our parents. Almost all the movers quoted me a price without even coming to see what we had to move. I had read reviews on Reddit and one mover was highly recommended so I called him, he came over and quoted me a ridiculous price, 5 times what I ended up paying. Perhaps it was because it was Easter weekend or because we had a lot of stuff to move, not sure. I then contacted a bunch of movers by email and got very quick responses by many but Super Dee stood out to me because they wanted to see what we had before quoting a price. Others said they would send me a 4 ton truck but when Don came from Super Dee, he looked at everything and surmised we would need a 5 ton truck. I thought Oh no, what is this going to cost me but it turned out to be a very good price, and he was right, that truck was packed! Yes I got lower quotes but there was no way anyone could do the amount of work Don and his team did plus pay for gas and the ferry for anything less...more on that later. We had lived in this particular house for 20 years and had accumulated a lot of junk and things we didn't want to take. Turned out they do junk removal as well; it was perfect! Super Dee is definitely a Mom n Pop operation, Don's wife Jeanette runs the office and Don handles the move with his crew...all nice guys and very helpful. If you are looking for a service where everyone wears matching uniforms, shoes polished, hair styled etc, they dont fit the bill but i can attest to the fact that everyone worked really hard, hour after hour, always smiling and polite and 100% honest. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and use them again. I preferred having a crew that was flexible, not standing there with a clipboard adding another 15 mins to my bill. They agreed to a price and they worked damn hard to get it all done no matter how long it took. I also wanted to add that when it became obvious that i wasn't going to get everything done ( finishing packing the little stuff left and clean a 4 bd home for the walk through with the owners in 3 days) i asked Don if he had any helpers he could get and he arranged for a couple of extremely hard women to come and finish packing and cleaning. They were absolutely fantastic, if you have a big move, I 100% recommend you ask Don to set you up with them. The first day they focused on the packing, the second day they asked me what I wanted cleaned, fridge, windows etc? I said This is not going to be that sort of clean up, I need you to do whatever each room needs done whether it be cleaning the radiator or the blinds, anywhere you see dust and dirt it has to be cleaned. And they did. They were like two little tornadoes going through the house. They organized keep, trash, donate piles, they even helped me load up my own car. There was literally nothing they wouldn't or didnt do. Do yourself a favor and hire them if you can afford the extra expense because they are really worth it. Don and his team worked really, really hard for us. They spent hours on removing junk from a house that had been lived in by us for 19 years; there was a LOT of junk. Next day, back with the same amount of energy to load the truck and the following day to deliver it to where we were moving to. I dont know how they were able to do that much work 3 days in a row; I would have been in bed for a week after Day 2. I was so pleased with the service that I did something I have never done before and that was to pay them more than they asked. Of course I tipped each of the movers but my sister and I spoke about it and we thought they had done an extraordinary amount of work for the price we had been quoted especially when they had gas and ferry costs. We felt they had quoted us a price that was too low considering all the work they had done so we added an extra bonus amount to the bill. Ive never paid someone more than theyve asked before and that should speak volumes about what we thought about the service that was provided. A huge thanks to Don and his team!!! After looking at several moving company reviews and calling different companies, we decided that using Super Dee movers was the best choice for the money for a move from Maple Ridge to Parksville. When I talked with Jeanette, one of the owners, she seemed very helpful, friendly and professional. When I told her about the size of our house and how much furniture we had, she sent us a quote based on two trucks which after some discussion it seemed like it changed to one truck on their end. They said that one truck should be enough. After selling our house, we contacted Jeanette again and told her we would like to use her company. One week before our move, we called again and asked to have someone from the company to come by and assess our needs. One of the owners, Don, came by and told us what we needed to do to prepare for the move. He also said that 2 trucks would definitely be needed and we would have to pay an additional charge for the second truck and an additional helper. We told him that we were told that we were quoted for 2 trucks initially and the further charge was a surprise. After some discussion with Jeanette again, the extra charge was reduced a bit from $1500 to $1000. On moving day which turned out to be the hottest day on record (June 28th), the movers showed up almost 2 hours late and seemed ill prepared for the move. In fact when they wanted to break for lunch, they had no food or drink so we made them lunch and provided lots of bottled cold water for them as well as an air conditioned space for them to relax for their break. They were not organized and one of the workers seemed lost and spent a lot of time either on his phone or standing around. We told the person in charge (Brandi) about this and nothing changed. Later I called Don to inform him of what was happening and he was very defensive with me and said that we should feel lucky that they didn't cancel our move due to the heat. Later on I received a call from Jeanette the owner that it appeared that we were abusive toward the worker and and were pushing to have the workers hurry up which was never said. When we told Brandi that we were told this by Jeanette, she said that that was never mentioned and they must have misunderstood what we said. After seeing that they needed help, I realized that I too needed to assist in helping load the trucks and moved plenty of the boxes and pieces myself. A couple hours later, we noticed 2 of the movers had disappeared with one of the trucks without even notifying us. In the mean time, all our boxes and possessions were out in the street and unattended. Several hours later it was obvious that the trucks wouldn't be fully loaded due to all the problems the movers had encountered. They decided to leave at 7pm and promised to return the following day. The next morning, a better crew showed up and was much more organized and managed to conclude the loading in a few hours with our help. The next day at our new house, once again the movers showed up at least 3 hours later than we were told by the owner due to some other issues that we had not been informed about until I had called to see where they were. They finally showed up at 2 pm and commenced unloading and both my wife and I assisted in helping them. As we unloaded a few pieces of furniture, we saw that they had some damage from the truck. We mentioned this to Brandi when the unloading was finished and she wanted to conclude the move in a hurry to catch a ferry back to the lower mainland. She wanted payment right away and hastily took pictures of some of the damage and said they would contact us about dealing with it, but nothing was ever done. We also noticed that both our bed's mattresses were not wrapped and had some dirt on them. Much of the furniture we later discovered was also scratched and even a box of china had been dropped and all the pieces were ruined. We also noticed after the trucks left our brand new driveway that they had both left large spots of oil all around it. I informed Don about this and he told me how I could remove the stains. He offered to send someone to clean them if I had no luck but never answered me back when I had called and texted him to deal with our problems. Since the move, I had tried to contact Don a few times without him, Jeanette or Brandi ever responding back to try to make things right. It is too bad that this company wasn't as good as we first thought. In fact, they did a poor job and weren't worth the money we were charged. Don't expect them to deal with any problems properly. We will never use this company again and hope others will learn from our experience. read more

Charged a ridiculous price to move a few items an hour away. 50% higher than Home Run Movers price and Home Run Movers moved an entire houseful of items. After the move, I noticed damage to a wall and told them they need to repair it before the new owners take possession. Jeanette responded a few times with "Don will be by to fix it." If you have ever truly dealt with this company you would know immediately that isn't anywhere near how they do business and/or conduct themselves...no way, no how, period! Believe me, I speak from experience as I have dome business with them many times. When trying to find a good company to deal with, naturally people read the reviews before making a final choice. However, I urge you to recognize when a bad review is a vindictive and false attempt to discredit a business for personal reasons. Superdee 1-Ton Services... I don't know where to start.... Their service was exceptional. The level of efficiency from start to finish is unmatched. The two gentlemen who came to help me and my partner move worked at the pace of 10 men. They were polite, funny, selfless and they made us feel confident in their level of professionalism. Their word is their bond! I was moving from Vancouver Island to the Mainland... and passing by my partner's house in Yaletown to pick their stuff too. We had to both have moved from our previous addresses by 1 pm. Right from minute one, working with Jeanette to co-ordinate every step from pick up to drop off; catching the first ferry into Nanaimo, packing up my basement suite... to catching the 10:40 am ferry in order to make it to Davie street before 1 pm... The team was clear about its intention to make the move smooth and successful. The level of communication between the workers and us was high, they responded to emails almost instantly, even when I sent follow up emails in the middle of the night. Jeanette also called 2 days ahead to confirm that we were still on track for a timely move. Ron and Wally were great!! Booked with Super Dee last minute as there was a mix up with my other moving company and they came within 2 hours of me calling with no complaints about having such a late start. Packed all my furniture into the truck very quickly and delivered it all a day later as it was a move from Vancouver to the island and we didn't book them until 4pm on a Sunday. Everything came in perfect condition they were kind and funny and chatted with us as they helped set everything up as we wanted it. On time, conscientious and hard-working, Donovan (Super Dee) and his team seemed to be able to fit almost anything into their trucks. Efficient, cost-effective, and a pleasure to watch and work with, an all-Carribean crew got the job done at almost half the cost of other movers and with ever-present smiles despite all the weight they had to bear. Their experience showed in perfectly assessing the volume of my household goods and the width of doorways, and they knew how to get anything through almost anywhere. Super Dees are insured and their workers bonded. The price was fantastic and they committed to being there for the day. When more than one truck was needed, they charged only the additional fuel which was very kind! They stuck around until late into the evening and even came by the next day to help more though it wasn't part of the quote. If there are any expectations such as dismantling furniture and re-assembling just make sure you are very clear with the quoter and the guys when they arrive to save any confusion, but that was just communication and they committed to getting the job done per the quote and went above it. All big or fragile furniture was protected and wrapped (we have some custom built pieces which were new at the from address which they took particular care of and the leather lounge). Our move was a short haul from a house into an apartment. We found Super Dee to be professional, courteous and focused on the move. We appreciated that they were willing to come to our home and give us a quote. They touched base before the move to ensure everything was on track, the day of the move they came at the time they said they would and kept working until the truck was loaded. The unload into the apartment had some unexpected challenges which they worked through and still managed to have the move completed in the approximate hour estimate they had originally given us. All in all disappointing. They arrived late which was not a problem as our elevator had been double booked. My building caretaker was on hand to assist between the two moves going on at the same time and all seemed to be going as well as can be expected. The 2 men doing my move were clearly angry with each other, name calling and muttering between the two, one of them disappeared for a time, no idea where he went but my stuff was left sitting outside for quite some time. It took them such a long time to load the truck that at the end we were left with a very short window to unload, with time quickly running out they stopped working to let me know the owner, Donovan wanted an additional $150 for the lost time, with 80% of my stuff on their truck and closing in on a hour to unload at the new place I had no option but to agree and pay. It felt like a bit of a hostage situation. I used Frog Box Service (excellent) so loading should have been a lot faster as all the boxes were the same size and they nest into each other and are a snap to dolly 4 at a time. They wrapped most of my belongings quite well, but at the very end they loaded my brand new fridge onto the truck without any cover at all, not even a bit of plastic wrap, so the fridge is now a constant reminder as it is all dinged up. To be fair they did hustle when we got to the new place, but myself and my partner worked ourselves to the bone helping move out and in to the new place. The reason I hired movers was so that I would not have to kill myself loading and unloading, we've never worked so hard. I can't imagine having this job day to day and no wonder the movers have such bad attitudes, but this is what they get paid to do and I certainly never expected to have to work so hard myself and then be overcharged because their workers could not agree on anything nor get the job done without our help. I have attempted to contact the company twice as I honestly believe they owe me the $150 back. They have not replied in any way. Sadly I did not know all the details of the arguing and disappearing until after the move as it was my friend assisting who told me later how unprofessional they were being. I wouldn't recommend them. They will say the elevator booking was the issue, but in hindsight it was definitely not the reason for taking close to 5 hours to load up a 1 bdr. apt. read more

They were awesome...stuck to their original, no hidden charges and even took some of my furniture to a shelter they partner with. I have known the owner for a few years so I hired his company for a move. I went from a 3 bedroom condo to a 4 bedroom townhouse. The move out went smoothly, I bought the 3 guys all pizza and water. The move into the new place was terrible. One of them broke my daughters drawer on her desk, half ass attempted to fix it while giving me attitude for it by hammering the nail into it with a tool. They end up leaving and I walk into the house and see that they have banged up, dented and scratched every stairwell going upstairs. I check out my daughters drawer and the fool nailed it in upside down! And then I see my babies change table leg is busted off too! I attempted to contact super dee - Donavan the owner and he ignored my messages and stopped answering my calls. Do not hire this company at all! This is how they treat somebody they know, imagine how they will treat someone they don't know! His two men he had with him were extremely rude and unprofessional. We moved from White Rock to Kelowna, the guys were friendly and fast. Looking at the photos on their website showing that they wrap everything with blankets is false they only wrapped with plastic wrap. Had they wrapped my furniture with blankets then I would not have ended up with so many scratches on every piece of furniture we own. Boxes were put in our place upside down luckily nothing that we have found so far was broken. One picture frame glass was broken and they gave me $25 off only after I reminded them that they broke it. I would not recommend them to anyone unless they were to cover everything with blankets. I realize that nothing is guaranteed to be scratch free or broken free but I do expect a lot more care taken with my stuff. read more

We had to move in BC from the lower mainland to the interior and with a large home, lots of stuff and the distance we had some concerns. We wanted a full service pack and ship and so met with and interviewed over 10 major companies. Super Dee impressed as they were the only ones who figured we would need two days to pack the home while keeping to COVID protocols for number of people allowed. The staff were fast, professional and respectful and we ended up having a fun experience. They also had to ship a luxury vehicle which they with did no problems. All our items were delivered to a brand new home and it was impressive that they did not damage the floors or scuff the walls. They even came back and collected the empty moving boxes after we unpacked and for a small fee did a garbage dump of unwanted items. We would totally use them again and recommend them strongly to any family or commercial customer looking for well priced professional service...Donovan is a great person with a well trained team. read more

For someone like me who has moved lots i know alot about moving also my uncle has his own moving company. At the last minute a week before i had to move out i wasn't able to get a truck from uhaul. So i am out of options and my friend says he knows a friend with a truck. So i call and surprisingly they have a truck avaikable the day i need it and in the morning!. This was my first experience with hiring movers to help. They showed up on time, they answered any questions i had. I would even call there boss a few times for questions. Everyone is super nice respectful and extremely professional. I told them there was no way my 3 bedroom place would fit into a 1 ton. They kept reassuring me they would. Me and my uncle the mover were so surprised and amazed they did it. We gave them a $100 tip just to show our appreciation. The whole time from start to finish they worked 5 1/2 hours. They listened to me and asked where i want things and what is coming. It was so great to relax clean the suite and not to worry. When they loaded my stuff into storage they did a better job then i could have myself. After this experience i will now only hire movers and use my new favourite company. They truly care about good customer service especially when they make a price that works for my budget. Rare to find a company like this so i thought it deserves a good review. Looking forward to my next move that's stress free. Will highly keep recommending them. They will also make sure nothing has been damaged before they leave for your own reasurance. The crew at Super Dee were amazing. They moved our 4 bedroom house from Surrey to Kelowna on December 26th. Our belongings were delivered on the 27th as promised. Four guys on loading day completed the job in 3 hours and unloaded with two guys in 2 hours. They handled all our belongings with care and even moved my husband's motorcycle. They offered the best price and the service was outstanding, no hidden fees or additional charges. I would definately recommend Super Dee and I will use them again in the future. read more

Despite seeing a couple negative reviews we decided to go with them since they had a reasonable flat rate. They were very friendly and did a good job overall, they seemed to be pretty careful, and upon my insistence they wrapped everything up in blankets. They didn't have a mattress bag or tape, which most movers always have. Fortunately we had a tape gun and they went through all the tape I had. They worked hard and non stop the whole time, very polite. There was an issue with a marble table we had that broke in half, which was devastating as it was very expensive, but it is true it had a crack so we decided not to ask for compensation due to that. Overall I think they did a good job, better than other movers we've had in the past. I just recommend to be on top of them to make sure they wrap everything, and if you have anything of great value explain exactly how you wish them to place it in the truck.
