Fantastic movers. Vic seemed really busy in the phone and most of our communication was done by text leading up to the move, so I wasn't sure what the experience would be like. The three movers who came were impeccably courteous, efficient, and professional. Vic charges by the hour, which worked in my favour as I was able to so a lot of prep work myself and leave the really large or awkward pieces for the professional. Highly recommended! read more

Wow!! So very glad we chose Vic's The Moving Man. Vic and his staff were very friendly and cheerful, making our move less stressful. They were prompt and packed our furnishing in a timely fashion plus offering well needed suggestions on the placement of the furniture in the new home. They are very deserving of a 5 star rating and we would recommend them highly. You would not be disappointed and no hidden costs. The icing on the cake was an offer to pick up and donate to charity our wing back recliners (no room in the living room) and two chairs from the dining area (again no room for them). This is by far the best moving company I have ever used, and I have moved alot. Vic is a super nice man and his staff were hardworking and more than glad to listen to suggestions. What really struck me was how polite and respectful these young men were, I find this very rare in there times. They had me moved so fast and best of all, nothing went missing or broken! I would definitely recommend Vic's Moving to anyone who is looking for a very professional, careful company to take care of moving their stuff. When they moved me I was very worried about some antiques which included a grandfather clock. Their experience showed when they were preparing everything to be moved. Thank you Vic, Joe, Tim, and Martin! Booked Vic a month in advance. We discussed the different options and the estimated cost for each and finally decided on four men for a shorter period of time. They were professional, fast, courteous and all had quirky/funny personalities to make the day fun. I had them move really heavy office furniture from my office to home and then had them move furniture and boxes all around the house. They were well organized, very careful with my walls, floors, stairs. and every piece of furniture. No matter how heavy it was. There was a point man for every room and they really paid attention to my directions and where I wanted everything. We recently used Vic's for a short 15 min move. It took (2) full days to move a 3500 SF home. Most items were already boxed and no set-up was included. We had one bed frame that was totally broken when it was dismantled by Vic's. He did not say anything. It was noticed by us when we attempted to set it up. Called Vic to see the damage and he denied it was from moving. Cost us $100.00 to repair and he refused to reimburse the cost. I find Vic very expensive for what you get. He takes no responsibility for his actions. He totally reminds me of a used car salesman. If you use him get a firm price in writing and holdback money until your furniture is set-up. read more

Always hard to find a good moving company in town; this company is no exception. We had a very simple move; first floor apartment, literally emptying a one-bedroom storage unit and 10 minute drive. They said the job could be done quickly since there were 3 guys available. I'm not sure how you can count a drunk guy who basically did nothing all day, but when they were finally done 4 1/2 hours later, they actually charged us a 3 man rate?! Not only that, but somehow on the 10 minute commute, it became literally a 30 minute delay. They were following my partner and the truck diverted on another route, craziness. The movers were extremely slow and go through all of your belongings, (which is a first that I've seen in all my years of moving). Vic is a total slime ball. Rent a truck and do it on your own, it will be far less expensive and faster! read more

Dear Consumer, BEWARE!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! I received a quote of $1,265.24 to move my household items based on time rendered which was estimated to be cost breakdown: (loading) 2.5 hours, (drive) 15 mins (start from shop), (unloading) 2.0hrs, (drive) 15 mins (done back to shop). Total hours quoted: 5 hours. Start time 9:00 am. This was a small 3 bedroom home and I had moved the majority of the boxed items as well as small pieces of furniture earlier. (He attempted to charge me for the packing tape and additional boxes even though I had all the supplies available). I told him to remove the charges of $30.00) My new home was approximately 6 minutes away. There were 3 men including Vic. The trucks electric ramp drained the battery which took an hour to repair at my cost. They finally left at 10:00 pm. Items were literally thrown into my garage. Numerous items were damaged, including an antique mahogany table that was recently refinished for the tune of $500.00! A bookcase needed to be dismantled and lost the hardware to reassemble. I was charged for 11 hours (initial estimate $1,265.24) with a grand total of $2306.85. Almost double the cost of the initial estimate!! I questioned him about the additional and the initial cost to exclude the truck repair and an hour lunch break. I was told they were almost done (only a few small items to put in the truck I observed when I left) I said I would meet them at the new house in approximately 15 minutes.After waiting for over an hour, I finally called him to ask where was he and why is it taking sooo long to get here. He stopped for lunch at Wendy's along the way! (Yes, I saw the drink cups!!) Come payment time the following day when I questioned him about the NEW bill, he gave a host of excuses for the additional time and blamed me for not securing the parking space in front of the house ( a car had parked in front of my house the day earlier. (I live in Clayton and we all know the parking challenges). The ramp was only one car length away. I told him it was his responsibility as a company owner to give ACCURATE estimates. His co-worker, whom was with him and had agreed with my comment. He then became verbally hostile and would not leave my home without payment. I had to concede and paid him to get him out of my house as he became quite hostile. He bought himself a big truck and claimed to be a seasoned mover! That's a laugh! I informed him I would write a review and have it posted on Rate & Review. I have moved many, many times including internationally. This was the WORST moving experience of my life. I wouldn't use this company again if the move was free. I moved from a one bedroom apartment 2 kilometers to a townhouse. It took twice the manpower, twice the time and twice the cost as when I moved from Richmond to Langley. Vic insisted they tape the crap out of every box for a 2km journey. I didn't move across the country, just down the street. Too much screwing around and not enough paying attention. Four months later, I'm still looking for half my stuff because they just dumped things into any old room instead of putting the clearly marked boxes in the correct rooms. I'll never use this company again and will steer any movers away from using their "services". What a rip off! If I had the option, I'd give zero stars. read more
