I was impressed by how clean the store is, and their fresh vegetables are reasonably priced. Also, they seem to have weekly specials which you'll see posted on yellow signs. I'm the kind of person that when you open up my pantry, you will see a rainbow of beans in clear containers. I use all kinds of beans a lot in my cooking so you can imagine my delight in seeing that they had an entire aisle dedicated to beans, lentils, and all kinds of other grains, and very affordable! You will find mostly middle eastern items here. There was an entire section dedicated to tahini, and olives! So many different kinds of olives, it was very impressive. They also have prepared foods, and an area where you can order hot food/sandwiches. I plan to come back and update my review once I try out their hot food. While most of the various food items and drink options are primarily Asian based, there's numerous Central and South American imports as well, mainly with canned products. I'm bad with names, but the lady who works there whenever I go is very nice. She's always giving tips on how she prepares certain things. Such as the frozen red bean paste buns. There's a decent sized refrigerated and frozen food section. Which alot of Asian majority products. Shops, at least in Florida do not have. The West coast has a shop like this on almost every street, but this isn't the West coast. Like I said at the start, this place is easily the best Asian food import shop in Volusia county.

The grocery offers most everything you'd want from a pan-Middle Eastern grocer: dry goods, teas, frozen food, fragrant waters, syrups, canned goods, et cetera. They also have a good selection of baklava and other treats by the front counter worth checking out: they get different sweets in sometimes--always baklava but sometimes also namoura cake and other things. When they have sari burma it's normally excellent, so look for that as well. They also have a good spice selection and try to include a lot of Turkish and Persian speciality items as well (this include Turkish frozen goods and yes, the pudding mixes also). The restaurant portion is a buffet and they have a hot bar and cold bar. The hot bar has traditional Egyptian foods and was very good when I tried it while the cold bar has things that could also be taken away like hummus, salads, and babaganoush. You can get the hot bar to-go as well, but having things like hummus is a big deal because you can purchase enough to have on hand for the week. I hope the restaurant continues to work out for them: buffets only make money if they have a lot of customers, so I really hope the community supports this fine establish and wonderful people who own and run it.

At over 100,000 square feet, walking into H Mart almost feels like entering a little world of its own. If this is your first visit, give yourself plenty of time because there is A LOT to explore. One of my favorite things about visiting international markets is discovering products and ingredients I wouldn't normally find at a traditional supermarket, and H Mart absolutely delivers. Let's start with the seafood department, because WOW. Fresh fish, live seafood, lobsters, king crabs and varieties of seafood I don't normally see at my everyday grocery store. Even if you're not buying seafood that day, it's worth walking through just to see the selection. Then there's the produce section, which is another adventure. The variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, greens, herbs and specialty produce is fantastic. I found myself stopping every few feet thinking, "What is THAT?" If you enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, this is the kind of place that makes you want to go home and try a completely new recipe. And the aisles... SO MANY AISLES! So, it almost feels like you are in a self-contained mall rather than just a grocery store. My favorites so far are Kung Fu Tea, Paris Baguette, and of course the arcade. In fact, I have won several stuffed animals from the claw machines, which is of course very addicting. As far as the grocery portion is concerned, I love the variety of beverages and fresh produce. I wouldn't say the prices are better than your average chain store, but the variety of items is better. And to some extent I also think you are paying for the experience, which honestly is fine by me.
