Just hit the road and get the heck over here, it's well worth it. Ok, now that I've gushed enough, let me tell you WHY this place is LITERALLY THE ONLY PLACE you should ever get your auto tinkered with. 1. They are literally the nicest people alive, always smiling, asking about your day, lingering on that handshake in a way that suggests "hey, you're #1, truly, let me bask upon your glory" 2. COFFEE omg seriously, coffee. There seems to be no limit on the delightful sweet sweet brown nectar, although I myself cut myself off at 3. I don't know what kind of UNICORN tears they use to brew this magical beast but it is the raddest cuppa hot joe I've ever encountered in my 38 trips around this here sun. 3. The papers, THE PAPERS! you wanna know whats up on this crazy planet of ours? FRET NOT they have every newspaper you could possibly name! Except the Calgary Sun, I'm not sure why they don't have that FINE source of unbiased news coverage, but it's really the only flaw I can find. 4. They are FLUID EXPERTS not even kidding, the staff here use all of their finely honed 5 senses to taste, touch, smell and listen to your dear rustbucket's fluids and can diagnose even the tiniest fluid drippity drop. So. If that aint enough reasons to drop literally everything and get your fluids poked and prodded than you are an IRRESPONSIBLE CAR OWNER and you should push your car off a cliff this morning. nuff said.

They asked me what kind of oil I wanted and told just the regular oil. When they gave me the bill and got home, a few minutes later... instead of charging me for regular oil, they put in, can't prove it, synthetic oil for a lot more money. I went online to their website and sent a very crude feedback comment and never heard back from them. I will never ever deal with Mr. Lube again. Mr. Lube are rip off artists, don't deal with them. I'll be going back to Super Lube like I've done before and never had a problem with them.

Went to the Portage Ave Winnipeg location to get my muffler replaced on warranty. I heard nothing back and called on Friday to enquire if it would be ready. Was told they ordered a muffler and it would not be ready until Tuesday. I made special arrangements for the new day. Went to pick up the vehicle on Tuesday and was told the part had not arrived. Took the truck and made arrangements to come back Saturday. Called on Friday to confirm the part arrived and arranged to be there Saturday morning at 9:30 and I would wait for the truck. Arrived on Saturday for my appointment and was told it would be ready Monday. After expressing my frustration the attendant went away and came back to tell me they could have it ready by the end of the day. I told him that would not work. He then went away and ignored me for the next 20 minutes. I took my keys and left. I live 2 hours away which the shop knew. I made a special trip in at a cost of $100 fuel plus wasting my day. It is 10 days later, still not repaired. A complete lack of communication both internally and to me. At no time did they attempt to call me. If I had not called, I would never know the progress of anything. In every interaction, I was very clear in what I wanted and timeframes that I needed. Every time I was assured they could meet them. A complete lack of customer service at a level I have never seen before. Absolute shocking. Some one at Midas better do something.

The people there (service managers) were very courteous and up front about parts and labour costs and very congenial with all who came in. I could watch the repair being done and the technician appeared to know exactly what to do next without any hestitation or failed effort. He told me the cost to replace the exhaust system components was more than the value of the car and recommended I take it to a muffler shop to see if they could repair it instead. He then added to hold off on replacing the tire since the original seller might replace it on warranty. Total cost for the visit: nada. It is great having a mechanic that you can go to without worry.
