Super Oscar's is located near the SWC of N 40th St & E Thomas Rd. It's a small restaurant tucked inside a small strip mall. Since it's behind other businesses, if you're driving down Thomas Rd, you might miss it. The menu is loaded with all the usual Mexican restaurant suspects. Glancing the menu board, it seemed most items were reasonably priced. Everyone likes that! The wait time is also reasonable. I spent about two minutes waiting to place the order and another five waiting for prep. The facility is showing its age. It has outdated furnishings, but they get the job done. There's also a bit of wall art, complete with Christmas garland (in September). If you opt to use the drive through, know that it's awkwardly positioned and you'll need to maneuver your vehicle carefully to access it. The portions are large, so you'll feel full after your meal. The Carnitas Tacos was flavorful and almost twice the size you'll find at fast food restaurants. The Adobada Quesadilla was humongous, though the meat was a bit dry. I was given a more expensive combo while using drive through that was not noticed at the time. When I called location they would correct this ONLY if I drove back right away. I was too far away to do so. I guess they screw up and I am expected to pay with more time and gas money. They have just lost a regular customer. Bad customer service. read more

The inside was very clean. Bathrooms were clean as well and smelled nice. Yeah it's an old building but more than half the area are old buildings , it's very well kept! Our food came out five minutes after we ordered. Super fast. They give the sauces in bottles which was very convenient! I'm a sauce person so it allowed me to get all the sauce I wanted without having to ask for more. The fries were hot and extra crispy like asked. Flavor was great. Portion was great. The rolled tacos were crispy and hot as well! The amount of cheese and toppings that were on the food was generous. Affordable and delicious food. So glad to have moved near here. Early on a Saturday morning I got into the mood for a good breakfast burrito and Super Oscars did not disappoint. I had Carne Asada and the meat was moist and tender along with being flavorful. The tortilla itself was on the side of excellent, well above average along with the ingredients I had added being fresh and again full of flavor. Both the rice and refried beans were well presented and packed with flavor. I'm happy the busy but attentive lady behind the counter added plenty of napkins between the sauces I added and juices spilling from the burrito I used them all up happily...like the extremely pleased fat kid I am. We have gone to Super Oscars in Phoenix for years, even though we have many other Mexican places closer to us in Scottsdale it's definately worth the drive. The food is amazing, I especially love the Chile Rellano combo, they are the best Chile Rellano's for the reasonable price.
