Just a few steps outside of the Borrego Viudo, this torteria makes up for the failings of the famously overrated taqueria. Just a few bites out of one of these delicious tortas will make you forget about the middle-of-the-road tacos the Borrego Viudo delivers through their numerous army of servers.
Watch with amazement as the tortero wields his spatulas as if they were an extension of his arms, assembling tortas with ease and precision, slowly building up the sights and smell that you can't wait to bite into, despite the speed the tortero works at.
Order the Poblana, a torta that features Pierna, Salchicha, and Quesillo, adequately designed for pork meat lovers; or order the Napolitana, made of Milanesa, Jamón, and Manchego, if you are a fan of fried meats; or also go big and order a Cubana, Mexico's ubiquitous torta that is always prepared differently, but it is almost always delicious.
