For my proteins, i picked chicken, pork and mushroom with cheese. They were generous with the meats and they give you pineapple with the sauces. Located in the heart of Condesa, Señor Taco hits the sweet spot for authentic CDMX flavor. The tacos al pastor were outstanding -- thinly sliced, perfectly seasoned, and packed with that rich, smoky spice you only find in Mexico. I got the taco vaquero, the al pastor, and the rajas con crema. The al pastor was very good and I would certainly order that one again. The vaquero was ok. The rajas con crema was definitely not my thing. The salsas were all very good though I didn't care for the one that was mostly oil. The service was good. The ambience was average. read more

The waitress we had here was really nice and the place was super clean. We ordered arrachera tacos with cilantro, onion, and cheese and they were pretty good, 3.5 out of 5. The "spicy" salsas really arent that spicy but the flavors were good so overall we had no complaints. The tacos here were better than some of the other tacos we tried in the area. I do think that they may cater to tourists moreso than locals but considering the location that's what I expected. If you need an English menu don't be afraid to ask for one. If you're learning Spanish maybe even ask for an English one in addition to the standard one and learn a few words while you wait for your food. read more

Came here with a friend on a Saturday around 2pm and it was pretty empty. Lots of seating. They have english menus available for the non-spanish speakers. While the lady server was taking our order, she started coughing but still stood there to keep writing in her notepad. I was a little worried I would get sick. Anyway, we ordered guacamole with chips, 9 tacos, gringa, queso fundido, and 2 drinks. Everything tasted very good! Don't mistake this place for the Señor Taco chain restaurant that you'll find in the U.S. - this place is the real deal! This sit down location has plenty of seating, was super clean and well managed. The menu was extensive and I had a hard time deciding what to get. Considering I had tried a handful of al pastor tacos during my trip to Mexico City, I decided to switch it up and get ... a pastor quesadilla instead (though I did order an al pastor taco on the side, couldn't help myself). The staff were all very friendly and attentive. They checked in on us several times and were fast too. My taco and quesadilla were excellent. The cheese practically oozed out of the quesadilla - that's all a girl like me can ask for! The al pastor was some of the tastiest I had in Mexico City. This place was across the street from our Airbnb so we decided to try it. The service was impeccable. Very attentive and friendly. It reminded me of a chain restaurant of Mexican food similar to Rubios or Baja Fresh back in the USA. We ordered tacos, soups and appetizers. The food needed more flavor but but were ok once you put the salsas (tasty salsas). The fruit juices were great. It was late and we needed to eat but nothing beats the corner tacos stands you find in Mexico. read more

This place was so good we had to come twice on our trip. Definitely the item to get is the arrachera. Tried a few different places and theirs was so good it had to be the last meal before heading to the airport. They do have waitstaff that speaks English as well so that also helps with the tourists. I was trying to fill a late night craving when I saw that the establishment had a number of costumers and music blasting for a Sunday night. I wasn't sure what to order so I ended up getting the tacos campechanos which was a combination of three meats. I can't remember the meats, but I think they were bistec, chicharrón and arrachera. Unfortunately, these turned out to be the worst tacos I've ever had. They lacked any seasoning, rubbery & moist. I was disappointed that my late night craving wasn't satisfied. read more

Señor taco is your safe bet when you want to have a decent heart warm meal in La Condesa. They have amazing service and one of their waiters happens to be an old resident of California. My friend and I were wandering around La Condesa this afternoon, trying to find a place to eat on Christmas Day. Most places were shut down, but luckily this hipster taco joint was open. When we sat down the waiter brought us an array of salsas, each of them spicier than the previous. We ordered Guacamole, and Nopales (grilled cactus) as appetizers. The more I ate them, the more I enjoyed. It was as if all the world's flavors were exploding simultaneously in my mouth. Gosh, it was delicious. For main course, I ordered a plate of Potato Flautas which was also nicely flavored, fresh and welcoming to my palette. Couple that with Michelada, and you have a perfect meal for a warm, sunny afternoon. How will I ever go back to eating Mexican food in SF...nothing over there comes nearly as close to Señor Taco. I have a feeling that the worst Mexican restaurant in Mexico City will be better than the best Mexican restaurant in San Francisco. Sigh. read more

This place is not authentic and more expensive than other nearby taco places. Basically a tourist trap. The salsas were not spicy, they didn't even put cilantro onions and pineapple in our tacos at first, and the al pastor was probably there for show.
