We stayed at Villa Marina and while the hotel was beautiful, the people staying there were not. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Capri for a honeymoon - more for families & friends. The tailored, bespoked tour was created in conjunction with my sister, who had done her research on the region, but Sean recommended sites and places that we could have never found on our own. We were pretty adamant about having close encounters with llamas and alpacas, which we were told would be strolling along the streets of Cuzco- umm, not true. Thankfully, his team knew just where we could feed them up close and personal and learn more about them. Julio, our guide for the 3 days was knowledgeable, friendly and so very conscientious- at certain parts of the tour, we were traveling alone, and he'd give us super clear instructions as well as call and check in on us several times, especially knowing that we couldn't speak any Spanish. Julio, being a local from the region also knew all the little ins and outs of the places we explored, including best spots for photography. Americo, our driver for the tour did not speak English, but you wouldn't have even known that. He was so friendly, warm and again, concientious. And can we chat about his dressing? So chic and dapper! My sis and I wish he was our warm and friendly uncle we could visit in the highlands...! For a bespoked, tailored tour package, Adventures to Peru was very affordable, professional and a great value. Sean was very diligent in responding to all our queries (silly or otherwise) in a timely and respectful manner. He even met up with us the day prior to our tour to hand us tickets and go through instructions again. And his team was truly top notch. AAA contracts out to other third party vendors…read more I am requesting assistance regarding my stay at Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa from June 26-29, 2026. I reserved and prepaid $977.28 through the AAA Travel website for a Premium Two King Beds room. My confirmation clearly states that I purchased a Premium Two King Beds room. Before traveling, I also called the hotel directly to verify my reservation, and I was assured everything was confirmed. Upon arrival, I was informed that my room type was no longer available. Instead of the two king beds I had reserved and paid for, I was given a room with only one king bed and a rollaway bed. I was traveling with my elderly mother and my adult daughter. Because the rollaway bed was not suitable for my daughter, my mother had to sleep on the rollaway bed for our three-night stay. This was not the room I purchased, and it significantly affected our comfort during our trip. I immediately asked whether another room was available or whether the hotel could provide a discount or other accommodation. I was told the hotel was sold out and that nothing could be done. The staff was not empathetic and repeatedly stated that because I had booked through a third party, there was nothing they could do. After returning home, I contacted the hotel again. During that conversation, I was told that I had been "bumped" because I booked through a third party and that had I booked directly through the hotel, they would have honored my reservation. I find this unacceptable. My reservation was confirmed, paid in full, and verified directly with the hotel before my arrival. Guests should not receive inferior accommodations simply because they booked through an authorized travel partner such as AAA. I respectfully request: * A partial refund for failing to provide the room category I paid for. * A written explanation as to why my confirmed reservation was not honored. * An explanation of the hotel's policy regarding confirmed reservations made through AAA and other authorized travel agencies. I have already opened a case with AAA Travel and hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly.
