I was looking for a specific de frizzer that a stylist used on my hair when I got a haircut there a while back. She knew what I was talking about and pointed it out to me, showed me the ingredients, etc. She was very knowledgeable about all the different products. She was so kind and helpful I decided to say 'yes' when she said she was available if I would like a trim. When she told me the price for a haircut, she said that the shampoo is always included with the haircuts - salon policy. I have had my hair cut there in the past, and none of the other stylists ever mentioned that having your hair washed is included in the price with the haircut. I said 'yes' and we went in to the hair washing sinks area. She was the sweetest with her words and posture, asking me about myself since this was our 1st time meeting each other. She took the time to wash my hair thoroughly, not rushing or anything. She also took the time to cut my hair so that it would lay just right, and she carefully blended it for me so that it was shaped nicely, and framed my face beautifully. She went slow so she could cut my hair according to the way it wanted to naturally go, which is so very important to me, because I do not style my hair normally. I like to let it go natural, and I don't use too many products on my hair. I was so impressed. I will be going to get my hair cut by Arcadia from now on. She is professional and just a genuine sweetheart. I am in love with my haircut she did. I even went back over to the salon after doing some shopping and my hair dried completely. It was so cute once it dried and the natural curls showed a little, I wanted to show her and thank her again, but she had already left for the day. While Ceci might be "really good" at doing hair, she fail to do a service she agreed she would do for my niece's special day. My sister and nice went to their appointment on Sunday in the morning and when they got to the shop was closed. They tried calling several times to Cecis cellphone but no answer. After 20 minutes of trying to reach her, someone texted back saying "Ceci will not be at the shop because she went to the hospital." This was obviously a lie; she probably forgot or had other things going on because if this was in fact true, she could've had called a coworker or someone to COVER for her. Also, If she was at the "hospital" like they say, and she actually handed the phone to someone else to text, she could have also told that person to call SOMEONE from the shop!! Whoever came to do hair would've been OK at that point. Whatever happened on Sunday was unacceptable!! It only shows the lack of professionalism and work ethic. My family and I totally understand that emergencies happen in the most unexpected times BUT Ceci could've had done something to fix the issue. She put my niece and my whole family in distress on a day that was already stressful getting everything organized. Luckily, after driving around for some time my sister found another shop open where they did her hair (not how it was planned) and my sister ended up doing my nieces make up at home even though she doesn't know much about make up.- not even myself! Can you imagine that??? I can go on and on about how everything went after that all because of one in responsible person. Until now, Ceci never called to apologize for any of it. One person was waiting when I arrived. I waited approximately 10 mins when the girl finished with her client. After sweeping around her station she walked in the back. She came name a couple minutes later and calls the gentleman that just came in 5 minutes prior. I looked at her and she said he had a reservation. Then about 3 or 4 minutes later the guy cutting hair finished and called another guy to his station that had just come in. As I was looking at him he says, he had a reservation. At this point I stood up and left. I have had a hair cut twice here prior to this time with no issues. I am more mad at the lack of communication by the employees not letting me know there is going to be a wait because of people with reservations. There is Not one mention of reservations on the signage or the business card. Not sure if I will be giving it another shot.
