I brought the instructions with me for what Wigs for Kids requires, and Heather took care of it quickly and efficiently. She then crafted a layered look for my daughter's new short hair. I can't describe what she did because she has skill beyond my understanding. But I can describe the result. I think my daughter has never looked better, and she feels great. But this is not only because of the new haircut. The people in the salon, including owner Kim, kept encouraging my daughter for her donation intentions, making the whole atmosphere positive and fun. While I was there, Heather and Kim also did color treatments for women and cuts for men ranging many years' difference in age--including myself. I had not intended to get a trim when I entered, but Heather was on a roll, and her fade on my hair makes me look five years younger. Easy. 3) The salon was NOT ridiculously decorated or colored. I don't appreciate staring for an hour or two at walls that seem to be screaming at me. 4) My stylist, Samantha, listened to what I wanted and did not force her own opinion on me. She seemed to get my overall personal style and when I said I want to try to add some length, she said, cool, and didn't try to change too much. I am one of those people who constantly changes her style, but now that I've found a certain look that works for me, I want a stylist who will be laid back and go with it. There is nothing worse than a close-minded, judgmental stylist who doesn't care what you want. Also, in general, she seemed like a nice person. We talked to each other about life and hobbies.
