The service cost is moderate and ala carte based on service(s) provided. My stylist, Cat, is amazing and always does a fantastic job! Since my hair is long and thick, I needed an expert to maintain good hair condition, color, and cut. Cat is super sweet, always takes the time (with each visit) to ask what I'd like to do, a color expert, and doesn't overbook her clients! In turn, my appt.'s are always on time and I'm not sitting under a dryer processing while she finishes with another client. The salon does take walk ins, depending on availability, but appt's are recommended. If you're looking for a new stylist, give these ladies a call!

I was running 10 minutes late due to traffic and called ahead. The receptionist was kind and said they would wait, but I can't help wondering if my poor experience was retaliation for being late. First, the haircut itself was bad (let my picture speaks for itself). I've had bad haircuts before, but this was probably one of the worst -- even worse than the one I once got at a $10 chain salon many years ago. I showed Todd a reference photo, but what I got looked nothing like it. My hair was uneven (clearly visible in the photos), and from the back it looks like a mop. He didn't ask me basic questions -- such as where I part my hair or how much length I wanted -- and when he was done, he didn't even show me the back with a mirror (which makes sense now, because it looks terrible). The service was just as bad as the haircut. While drying my hair, he used such a high heat setting that it burned my scalp -- and even five days later, my scalp still hurts. During the cut, he walked away for 5-6 minutes without saying anything, leaving me awkwardly facing the entrance gate with hair all over my face ( he did not even bother to rotate my chair back to face the mirror). The same thing happened at the shampoo station, where I was left staring at the ceiling, wondering if he would come back. For almost $100 (including tip), I expected a professional haircut and at least decent service with some communication. I regret ever going to Mather Salon. I am also attaching my credit card statement so you know it was my authentic experience.

Then I ask him to cut my hair straight across and I wanted the front a little longer than the back and he end up using a curved scissors to cut my hair. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by someone offered a beverage and if you have one a coat jacket hoodie, whatever it may be, they even offered to take it for you and hang it up. Just making sure that you're comfortable while you're getting your haircut or why you have to wait for your hair stylist. One thing that I really come to notice is that from the first time you go just for your one dollar haircut you get the same exact treatment every time you're there there is no difference you can walk into that one dollar haircut and get treated with respect and excellence every time And it's really cool to know that they're one dollar that you pay it for the very first time does go to donate to help others who are less fortunate. I will tell you that if you do anything other than the one dollar haircut there are fees I got my beard trimmed and there was like a $25 fee added on because of that so just be aware that there are certain extra fees. The haircut is one dollar but not everything else. When you go, it is about $50 per haircut unless you do their membership they have a lower level membership where you can pay about $46 I believe and in another year where you can pay about $40 monthly and I have signed up to do the monthly because it helps me to just remember to go in and get my haircut so I don't walk around looking shaggy all the time But with that monthly membership, you can go in anytime and just have them clean up your neck line to make sure you stay looking your best every day in between haircuts And I have never been to a place where they had special add-on features before where when you go and get your haircut, even for the very first time for that one dollar you can choose between about 4 to 5 different add-ons whether it's a face scrub a hand wax and a few other different options. Some things I've never tried before, but I have come to really enjoy having those things done. So for me this place overall is a very excellent establishment from the moment you walk in till you leave they definitely are friendly and if you just walk in off the street or make an appointment, you'll get excellent treatment. And if you're looking for recommendations on hairstylist, I have been using Kaylee at the Yale location for the past few months she is a rockstar.

EITR lost a 7+ year loyal client for two reasons. They've…read moregone political and I strongly disagree with their stance in following a wannabe dictator. Now, their waiting and merch area is plastered with gratuitous photos and books presumably authored of the owner. I applaud their success, but stick to hair and taking care of the customer. After my usual stylist, who consistently did an excellent job, was unavailable again due to illness, their attempt to make accommodations failed miserably. I would not accept a reduction of services while paying full price. Nor should anyone. I care about how and where my money is spent but consumer loyalty is fragile and must be earned, time and again.
