I've only got to private high end salons in the past but my hairdresser is too busy to book last minute appointments and having a thick set of blunt choppy bangs makes it impossible to look nice while having them overgrown. I was hesitant to try a salon chain. I came to them in desperation to fix my messed up bangs from a bad cut from someone else. The receptionist had great hair and particularly attractive bangs, so I asked if her stylist was there. Amber Brockway fixed my bangs and was very friendly! I was skittish of anyone touching my bangs because they were already ruined but she was gentle and sweet like a professional. Tip: This is a corporate business, so appointments are booked rather last minute. Have to call ahead - their schedules only come out every 2 weeks. Amber said she works most Friday's though. For a chain haircut place this follows the pattern you would come to expect of the staff being hit or miss. Also there seems to be a lot of drama between staff members that bleeds over onto the floor and some staff seem to be in real need of their nicotine fix and then get an attitude when you ask them to wash their hands. Some no problem staff make up for it and they do a good job especially for guys haircuts which seem to be easier to knock out. Also the addition of hot towels at the end of the cut also improve the experience as a whole. read more

My husband just had his hair cut by Robert at this location, and we are not happy with the results. To begin with, I understand that facial hair trims may not be the forte of this franchise, however I expect people who devote their lives to cutting and styling hair to be able to handle a simple clean-up job. Clearly that is not the case, despite Robert's own clean-shaven facial hair. He absolutely hacked up my husband's beard. Rather than clean up the edges as requested, he completely shaved it from the chin down. He didn't even complete that properly, as my husband still has several scraggly long hairs left at the bottom margin. The jaw-line is a completely different shape from one side to the other, and he didn't even touch the top edge of the beard or trim the body and moustache. The haircut he performed is decent, but again he did a half-a**ed job at cleaning up the sides and back of his neck, leaving patches of long hairs behind. Not only that, but he has clipper burn in several areas of his neck, front and back. This is an entirely unacceptable job, and they only comped 2$ from the total. Mu husband paid $15 for that crap and tipped an additional $3. I am livid. I could have done a better job for free, and i'm a freaking vet tech. I wanted to march him back into that shop and file a complaint right then and there, but he didn't want to cause a scene. Robert does not deserve the tip he received, he doesn't even deserve to be paid for such a piss-poor job. My recommendation is to avoid him entirely if you want anything remotely resembling a nice cut. read more

Took my 3 year old in. Woman was rude from the second she saw it was a child whose hair she'd be cutting. Tried to tell me that should couldn't wash his hair. Of course my child was a typical three year old who didn't exactly enjoy the haircutting process and was crying -- lady was visibly rude and annoyed the entire time. Don't go here. Even in a pinch. For the love of God and your human decency, go elsewhere! When you ask for 'as low of a low fade as possible,' and you feel that very first swipe with the electric razor proceed all the way up to the crown of your head, you know this cut is only going to get worse from there. Unfortunately for you, you can't put hair back on, so reminding the barber that you wanted it low is useless because now you have a 2.5" wide bare path running up the side of your head, so you keep your mouth shut and hope this is over with sooner than later. Even worse for you, however, is your barber also doesn't know how to run a nice fade regardless of how high up on your head it is. So she keeps trimming and buzzing, carving and cutting more and more of your hair in a desperate attempt to show you that she has earned her title of 'barber.' You silently will your 'barber' to just put the razor, comb, and scissors down, walk away and stop the bleeding, but to no avail. She's not fooling you, and you sure as hell ain't fooling anyone on the street, everyone knows you just got chopped. Good luck, sport. read more

This was the second time going here and both times were terrible experience. My son and I both got our haircut by 2 different people. The first time my son was cut by the gentleman with the long hair in the second chair on the right as you walk in and I was cut by the lady in the first on right. She did an alright job I wouldn't complain but my son had his head lowered like he was in pain, him being young I thought it was just him being little frightened by the cut so I told him to shake it off and sit right. He finishes and I'm not happy with the cut but how my son was sitting I understood. Now fast track to our next visit and we swapped I used the gentleman and my son was cut by the woman. He sit down maybe 5 minutes before me, I was called by the gentleman to be seated and as I sit he says to the lady, " let's see how fast we can cut this on." It takes him a total of about 5 minutes to bounce the clippers off my head and reveal the masterpiece. I asked him to finish the front since it wasn't touched and he makes a slash across the front with the scissors and spins me around to see again. I finished and waited another 5 minutes on my son to finish. My hair lines are crooked, nothing is even or smooth, you cannot cut hair in less that 20 swipes with clippers, it's sloppy. The guy clearly doesn't have any interest in cutting hair. I apologized to my son for making it out like he was scared of getting a hair cut when this gentleman is slamming clippers off his head. I would have rated 1 star but I feel sorry for the lady because she was trying to do a good job and this is her co worker. It's not the place to get cut. Take your business elsewhere. read more
