Really wanted to give this place a good rating because there are a few good stylist that I love to work with but have had more bad experiences than good. Last year a stylist thought it was funny to chop off more than 8 inches of my hair with out asking laughing to her coworker saying "look I did another one". She also bashed her coworker thru my whole session that I complimented. I tried multiple times to change topics and she would keep going back to making fun of the girl. Such a draining experience. Today I booked an appointment thru the text system that reached out to me and when I showed up for the appointment no appointment was made and the person at the desk said too bad you should of made sure the ai bot responded to me, which it did and I showed her. I went in for an eyebrow wax on sunday...most places can do it in 10 mins and be done..I was told the machine was down please come back in a few hours. I came back in a few hours and the machine was still down. I was told to make an appointment. This lady Maddie is great with eyebrows. I made an appointment that was almost a week out. I came in today for my appointment. I was told Maddie call out of work (thanks for wasting my time and not telling me!) however I was told someone could try to squeeze me in come back in 20 mins. I came back in 20 mins. Waited over an hour ON top of that. I decided this place is NOT worth my time. I am usually at the gym at night and skip my gym to waste my time on this? Never again. Makes me angry to think about it. I was told Maddie's next appointment was Monday morning. I made an appointment Monday morning but I decided I will be canceling it soon. I am SURE I'll be disappointed again. This place is absolutely horrible in customer service. If the customer service is this terrible I don't want to see their actual work. I just book an appointment at Salon Loft for Saturday. I will never use this place again after this experience. I am from Atlanta and I would spent $200+ every 3 months on my hair and eyebrows etc. I was going to give them a try but after this experience I will NEVER be back again. My son got the worst hair cut ever! showed her a picture of a previous haircut my son always gets. He did not get that hair cut at all. My son started crying while watching her cut his hair, when he was done he pretty much stormed out of the store while I was paying. They do advertise they take walk-ins but I was looking for more than just a basic cut. When I got there, the stylist actually helped ne save significant money. Showed a picture of what I wanted, she hardly looked at, cut about 2 inches on the bottom of my CURLY hair & cut more from the bottom than from the top! I have a confession. I'm a hair salon snob and have been until now. I've been spending thousands of dollars at Aveda salons for the last 20 years. A friend recently told me about Mary Beth at this Largo Mall location, and OMG this artist is phenomenal. A true gem! Super cool and seems like she could work magic even with her eyes closed! Not even joking. First, I had a haircut a month ago. Yesterday, I came in for a full foil/highlights and my hair looks awesome. All of the stylists are friendly, hard working, accommodating, and talented. Honestly, I don't know how they do it because this location is super busy. Both of my visits were on a Tuesday evening and there was still a steady flow of customers. I can't imagine the insanity they must deal with on weekends. Brought this to their attention and all I was offered was to come in and they would give me the deep conditioning, the service they already charged me for. As though they were doing me the favor. Haa!! Lesson learned. Never going back. Was just going to book a keratin treatment. From what I read on Google and other reviews hair cuttery makes this a practice.... up charging the customer. Please do not let Kyle cut your hair ladies. My hair was waist length. Layered. It took me years to grow it out from a bad layered cut. I went to get the ends of my layers trimmed so they would feel fresh and smooth. He. messed my layers up so badly. I have two seperate hair cuts. A mushroom head. Top thick layer above ears. He took a foot off when I was supposed to have a trim. I spent so much money going back trying to give him the benefit of the doubt ..now I have to get a pixie cut because of him. I understand people need money..but damn!!! If you cant cut layers tell the TRUTH!!!!!! My hair went from beautiful waist lenth with layers to an effing pixie. Kyle..stick to mens hair please. I recently got my yearly perm and remembered the disastrous experience I had last year at this salon. I should have left this review a year ago but time got away from me. Last year I called around to see if there was a salon who would give a perm (not many salons give perms) and the person manning the desk said yes and to make an appointment which I did. I was called before my appointment to ask how long my hair was (to see how long it would take to roll my hair) and I told them shorter than shoulder length. I could tell there was resistance to my request but the worst part was when the perm solution was used on my hair. There is a smell to the solution and the stylists responded with gagging noises, they opened the front doors, and they complained loudly about the smell. I was mortified. Stylists know that perms smell and I was embarrassed and felt so awkward mainly because of the stylists' reactions. Also During my hour in the chair I heard many backbiting remarks about other coworkers. I did not have an experience there that would warrant me coming back.
