Groupon buyers beware! I should've brought the Yelp reviews before, I bought my Groupon. Apparently my experience is not unique. I made an appointment with the salon, I mentioned my Groupon during the appointment. When I showed up to the salon, they let me know that the Groupon wasn't valid, due to the fact that the person that honors Groupons quit the salon. Nowhere on my Groupon does it mention a specific person's name. Nowhere! They should've told me this over the phone, when I made my appointment, not waited in till I showed up in person. She also made me click on the view voucher, which validates the Groupon, and makes it impossible to refund or exchange. So now I can't get a refund. Groupon does not have a working 800 number due to Covid. Looks like I'm out at 64 bucks. This is a bait and switch technique, that is horrible way to get new customers. Let me explain, much to my surprise, got a terrible haircut from my LONG time hair guru. She was really upset when I told her I'm no longer coloring my hair, finally letting the grey grow, she told me how I shouldn't be her client if I'm going to do that, wow like really?!? So just a haircut & let's cut some old color off (8 inches of it) so grey can take over & what a butcher of layered mess it turned out to be.,mullet on the left side, right side an entire different haircut, super dumb choice by me, "our one last time" smh...I let 6 weeks go by, ugh devastated, all because I finally decided to embrace my age. Im bummed, talk myself into a mani/pedi (Red Nail, Dunedin), that salon owner says "wow you cut your hair short", I tell her how I can't believe how jacked up it is almost 2 mths later, my pedi neighbor, can't remember her name, suggests Bana at Mane Attraction. Yelp her, Goggle her, been searching for months trying to avoid this from even happening! And may I say, one "hair obsessed girl" to another, she's really really good; she listens & gets what you're looking for, suggests cuz she knows hair & then makes it happen! I'm so relieved, I just found my new hair guru! I'm so grateful to my pedi neighbor that afternoon! Bana's weekend hours make it super convenient & her prices are very fair for the area, corrective cut $50. No bells & whistles or that over the top stuck-up Dunedin vibe, just a straight up skills salon & I'm more than happy with that! DO NOT GO HERE! Marci and the salon owner have no idea what they're doing. She put the color on my roots for 30+ minutes under the hair dryer which LIFTED my virgin hair instead of making it darker. That should only be done with bleach or a deep conditioner she fixed it thankfully but it was a 4 hour disaster and I would not recommend this to anyone unless you're old and need a basic trim. read more

I wanted to treat my daughter and me for the holiday. We went to the salon spent over $300 and I was burned while getting my brows done and not happy with the color. My daughter's ends were frizzy and split after she she washed out all the hair spray. When I called the next day the owner's response was for me to buy a product to fix her hair for $20. read more

They did a great job on my hair. I'm pretty happy with them. My only negative would be it took longer than I expected but I don't think that was their fault. I have difficult hair. The place is nice and clean and everyone was friendly it is convenient as well. I never noticed there was a salon in the Winn Dixie plaza until I found them online. read more

Client of the owner Shirley Casey for 4 years. Initially, she was very tentative. She does know hair, but not very good on keeping/maintaining professional relationships. She's a little rough around the edges. Overall, she did a decent job. I continued to go to her because she was close to my house and we became salon friends. As time went on, the level of service begin to decrease as she was more concerned with her personal life; getting out as soon as she could to go with her girlfriends. And stepping out more than necessary to have a cigarette. She always asked if I minded (what am I supposed to say, no?)Then she would come back in smelling like smoke (puke). As our relationship deteriorate and she told me to lose her number, I text her twice asking for my color blend and she never responded......not very professional! read more

Excellent service! I love Kristy Toscano, as she does a great job! I travel all the way from Lakeland, FL, thats about 61 miles one way! Because of that, I've had several hairstylists here in my town but wasn't happy as I want someone that was hip, and knows her stuff, she's upbeat and positive! She recently put a keratin in my hair and I love it! Since my hair is naturally curly (which I hate) it straightens out my hair sooo much easier! She's a great hairstylist and for me to travel the distance, she's definitely worth the drive! Thank you!! read more

I bought a Groupon to use here.and the owner tefused to honor it. I had been there once before and she did.s fair job even though she cut too much of my hair off. I thought I would try.going to her again. When I called to schedule my appt and I told her my name she repeatedly cut me off in mid sentence and told me that offer was only for new customers. I tried to explain to her that no where did it state that on the Groupon. She flat out refused to honor the Groupon snd told me to call them back and get my money back !' I called Groupon who said that she was wrong that it did not state that in the terms and conditions and.that she should of honered.it ! I was given my money back and went and found somebody else that.was much better than her and cut the right amount of hair off and colored it beautiful. This.was the worst customer service that I have ever experienced.and definately wouldnt recommend going too her for any type of hair service ! read more

I had an appointment scheduled with one of the stylists, Kristy Toscano, for Saturday morning at 10 am. I have been a client of hers for over 4 years and followed her to this salon after she lost her own, then worked at another. Two months ago she surprised me with changing hair color products from Goldwell to Paul Mitchell. The reason I started going to her 4 1/2 years ago was because she was a Goldwell color specialist. She did not bother to inform me or any of her customers prior to our appointments and I was not pleased but since I book out 5 weeks in advance, there was nothing I could do at the time. If I got up and left, then I would not be able to get into someone else immediately. I gave the Paul Mitchell a try and felt that it wasn't as vibrant as the Goldwell. I made the decision to try one more time to give it a fair chance and felt that two months of same results and feedback from friends and coworkers justified my opinion that it just wasn't the same caliber of hair coloring. I let Kristy know this on the Tuesday prior to coming in and she blamed it first on the shampoo I was using ( which was Paul Mitchell that she sold me on my prior visit) then on stress ( not even in wheelhouse) then told me no one else had complained ( although she had told me a story of another client who was not happy on my previous visit and called her a bitch). She then said the shine of the Paul Mitchell color was more important than the fading color. I pointed out that none of these applied to my complaint and that even though she told me she was going to Paul Mitchell because it was cheaper , my charges were still the same as when she used Goldwell. She then stated that a Goldwell rep would not come out to the salon and it was too much of a hassle for her to go get the color herself. She finally agreed to try different color and see if that would work. On Friday night...the evening before my appointment she send me a text telling me she does not want to do my hair and she will not be at the salon at 10 am. When I told her I was willing to have her try a different color as she suggested would work, she stated " I don't want to." I feel she was very unprofessional in canceling at the last minute and also feel she clearly knows that Goldwell color is a superior product. I called Goldwell myself and they were horrified to hear that she is saying their rep will not come out to salon. I intend to call the salon owner as well. Kristy has never been on time for any of my appointments the whole time I have been using her services and I let that slide along with her double bookings and her drinking while working on my hair. read more

She took the time to ask what I wanted and gave suggestions on my color etc. I would not hesitate to recommend this business at all. Very happy when I got my hair done. read more
