We usually get decent haircuts here. Not always the best, but decent depending on the day. Reliable place that lets you check on early on line. Today, my kids came home with bad cuts. There were parts that were uneven and parts that were just not good looking. So i had to come on and change my review. I wish I was there because i wouldn't have paid for the cuts and i would have had them fix it. But we're just going to go somewhere else to take care of it. read more

On Thursday, April 6th, I brought my friend into Supercuts at 109 BPR, Orange, CT. My friend is special needs and she had a specific problem with her hair that was pretty bad. Nicole was her stylist. Nicole was kind, patient and efficient. She treated my friend with so much compassion. She resolved the problem and my friend ended up with a very nice cut. Ladies, beware! This place is BYOR - Bring your own ruler. I went to get trim and specifically asked for a trim of about two inches. The stylist confirmed and said a trim of two inches. Im 6 weeks out from my wedding after about a year of growing my hair out, and really just wanted clean ends. I thought this was a simple ask. The stylist took off closer to 6-8 inches. For reference on the attached photo, my hair was about down to my elbows when I walked in. It happened so fast and behind my back, so I didn't realize how much she had cut until it was too late. I sent a photo to my stylist for my wedding day to ask if it was okay and she responded with "HOLYSHIT." Soooooooo not great!!!! read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Went in last Saturday to get 2 inches off my hair. The stylist asked me if I wanted to keep my long layer in the front and I told her yes. She then proceeded to absolutely ruin my hair. Not only is it awkward and choppy and looks like I have a mullet, but the "layers" she cut are not even even in the front. I am embarrassed to leave my house with this haircut. Contacted on the website to ask for a refund and got total radio silence. Will never trust with my hair again. read more

I am not sure why there are any negative reviews at all for this salon....It is not a high-end, over priced Fairfield County pinkies-up place...It is a blue-collar salon, and there is nothing wrong with that! I found the stylists to be friendly, and they informed of costs before doing anything. My last visit was a color and cut with Kathy, and I was very pleased. The style held up very well. Now I am trying to get my daughter to go there.... I find that if you are clear in the direction you give your stylist, instead of being vague, you can get better results! read more

Went in for a simple wash cut and blow dry with Kathy and by the time I finished it was $30.95. Be careful and ask what the price will be before you sit down. I had looked up online and thought that a blow drywash and cut would be 20+ I think she may have put some extra stuff on my hair and charged me an extra $11 for it. In addition it was just a trim so I can't think of how there was anything that would warrant a 20+ haircut. All I'm saying is be careful. read more

I have an extremely simple hair cut (cut at the shoulders), so I figured that I really didn't need to spend a ridiculous amount of money in a salon to get it done. I was very pleased with the cut I got. I've spent much more money in other places for the same or an inferior quality than I got here. First time I really really liked the layers in my hair. I would go back for sure. read more

Worst hair salon I've ever been. They show tonnes of attitude, very mean, passing nasty comments about your hair to colleague stylist and whining over & over again. Kept the place around the chair so filthy. Racially very discriminating place. I would never ever go back to this place. read more

One haircut was so bad that I went back a few days later to have it corrected. The person who corrected it agreed that the original haircut was very uneven but she still charged me to correct it. Another time when I tried to explain how I wanted my hair styled, the stylist told me that she knew what she was doing and refused to listen to me. Consequently, my hair was very frizzy after she styled it. The incompetence at this salon might have been more tolerable if the stylists weren't so rude to their customers. read more

If I could do negative reviews I would. This place gave me the worst hair cut it was choppy and I pointed it out and they gave me an attitude and refused to fix it. I went back and wanted a refund and they denied me and wouldn't fix it either. Nor did they answer he phone when I called. Do not go here. read more

Terrible experience! The stylist was nice but had no clue what she was doing, especially for cutting people's hair who have long hair. Complete lack of skill and knowledge of recent trending hairstyles. Now not sure what quality of standards that these stylists are held to. Also not sure how it cost me $90 for a root touch up and cut. I've been to other Supercuts and had great styling but this place was awful. I had an appointment set for a color and trim and still waited over an hour. People kept coming in and had their hair done before me - I think because my hair was going to take awhile and every person before me had an inch or less of hair (all very short haircuts and one person with a rat tail). When sat, I asked for a root touch up for my hair dye and the stylist said, "Roots? I don't see any difference in your roots to your hair color". But there was a good 2-3 inches of roots showing with my dark blonde hair from the colored dark brown I usually get done. She continued to look at her swatches and kept questioning what color I was going for and I specifically said what color and brand I always got. She still got it wrong, the hair dye she chose does not match my previously dyed hair color, it's still too light. She also managed to get the hair dye all over my face (on my forehead, side of face, eyelids, neck, etc.). I've never been so covered with hair dye at a "professional" salon. On top of that, I requested a trim. I had said that, "Since my hair is long and is lacking volume, maybe I should get some soft layers and she responded with, "No, you shouldn't get layers when your hair is long, but I can do angles to frame it more about your face". I thought she knew what she was doing so I agreed. She parted my hair in the middle, which I had said that my part was usually on the side, and she cut angles into my hair. I wouldn't even call it angles, she cut ONE angle on each side of my head. It wasn't even angled, it was actually just cutting a chunk straight across on each side of my face. Afterwards, I had to go home and scrub off the hair dye that was all over my skin and get my hair cut again to soften the chunks she took off. Now I'm waiting to get my roots redyed since this woman did such a poor job and will now have to spend even more money. I'm severely disappointed in this particular Supercuts location. read more
