This Supercuts is in a plaza, there is parking that is level. The store is clean and the shelves are well stocked. Their are three hair stylist who are busy. The phone is answered promptly. The wait was 15 minutes, I had been told prior to. I didn't want my hair washed. She listened to what I wanted, we went over my hair. I was pleased with the whole experience. read more

I'm shocked at the awful customer service here. I've been a fan of Supercuts for a long time, and this place gives the franchise a bad name. I'm unsure as to who cut my hair because she didn't give me her name. She was extremely cold but I tried to ignore it. She asked what I wanted and I told her I wasn't sure, but definitely noticeably shorter. She told me that that was for 'summer.' I told her just cut my hair how she saw fit and as long as I wouldn't have to do anything too high maintenance with it or have it cut extremely often I'd be happy. She kept asking me questions about the haircut and I kept trying to reemphasizing my point. She then cut it so sloppily, making hack cuts and literally taking less than 10 minutes before asking my opinion. She threw some product in it and said she was done. My hair was sopping wet and I couldn't see the result. She said I could get it blow dried for $4 more. I was shocked. I couldn't see the result that I already could tell wasn't good. Conclusion: there are dozens of other places in Albuquerque, including many other Supercuts. Drive the few extra minutes and go somewhere else. read more

I had an excellent cut and style from the Manager, Amanda. She is friendly without being overbearing, and runs a great shop. Everyone working in there looks happy, and the customers came and went with smiles. Easy access location, parking is a snap - and you can' beat the price. P.S. My family and I get our haircuts here every few months. We usually reserve a spot on the Supercuts website or app before we go. Both work exceptionally well and are easy to use for this purpose. Once we arrive at the store location, we give one of the stylists our information and the wait is usually short. On slower days we are usually seated right away or within 5 minutes. On busier days, weekends, the maximum wait is on average 10 minutes. In our experience, all stylists are very friendly and do a good job of giving you the style you ask for or helping to create something new for you. The warm towels given after each cut is very comfortable and relaxing. The main reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is the cost of hair products is a bit high. A bottle of gel is about $10. I could probably buy a bottle of gel with similar properties for less at the local grocery store. Also, I wish they had the option of having a straight razor close shave. The addition of a straight razor close shave or say at least a barber that is able to do one, would provide a service that many men could enjoy. There is just something about this type of service that completes your haircut experience. read more

We took my children there to have their hair "trimmed" and we were very specific on what we wanted and tried to explain it so they would understand. From the first clip it was too much but at that point we were committed. It was apparent at the barbers reaction that she was uncomfortable and asked us questions like "is he going to squirm?" Which is a very valid concern, but we could tell she was not very confident cutting a toddlers hair and perhaps a bit perturbed. We even asked her if she would like us to wait for one of the other barbers. She said "no, it's fine" and that she was able to trim his hair. It is only hair, and it will grow back, but it's frustrating when we asked several times and tried to explain ourselves clearly only to not be very happy for children. I don't know that I would recommend this place for children. Unfortunately we were not very happy. read more

My mom and I have been going to supercuts for a long time. Amanda usually did our hair cuts and did an amazing job. I have curly hair and it was very long and Amanda knew exactly how to face frame so it looked nice. To make a long story short I went in for a face frame and layer cut not to short and came out with my hair cut to my shoulders. I believe the lady's name was Stephanie after she started cutting my hair she said she's never done a face frame cut . I am so upset with my cut. If you need a hair cut do not have Stephanie do your hair , she does not know how to cut hair. We will not be going there again read more

I have been using this place for the last few years and have tolerated mediocre to decent hair cuts. Today was the last straw. The person scheduling told me that a particular stylist was open after the person in the chair. 30 minutes and 2 more people later and there were still two people ahead of me. Obviously the person had a lower IQ than the counter the computer was sitting on that she obviously couldn't read. If you do not want to see Amanda and call ahead for another stylist, Amanda is NOT helpful. I have been seeing Shawna for years, but when I called ahead and said I wanted to have Shawna cut my hair, I was basically told, well, it just depends on "life." After having had to wait in the past for people who called ahead, and after seeing the check in on their website, I decided to check in on line and wait the 45 minutes at home instead of the store. I get there and was told I would have to wait another 45 minutes because they don't do on line check ins. Even though they advertise they do on their site. I had been there before and the haircuts are mediocre at best but I knew that. I have been using Supercuts for years and this one is definitely well below the standards I have seen at other locations as far as friendliness and customer service go. read more
