The ambiance is very hip, with large open spaces. Everyone here including the instructors are friendly. I did have to come back another day to get a patch of hair re-dyed because it was missing, which wasn't a big deal and a teachable moment.

On the phone and in person they reassured me, and in person they reassured me. I had a student in her final week. I asked for 90's blowout cut. The instructor came by once and briefly looked at wet cut hair. Everyone was so so nice. But it took her an hour and a half to do the cut, and I had already told them I only had an hour and a half. So I left without my hair really styled, and I ran on my way. When I got home I gave my hair a proper wash so I could put product in and style it. That is when I noticed the terrible butcher chop that was my hair. I reached out to the school to get my $20 refunded and they said I needed to email them photos to the owner. It has been nearly two weeks and radio silence. Please see photos for evidence. The two sides of my hair looked nothing alike. I had to cut it to the highest chop, so now I have a bit of a lob when I already wanted to preserve my length. And I had to pay someone to save my hair so this $20 cut has cost far more. Just know not to come here for a cut...she was in her final week and will be in an ABQ salon shortly.

Crystal (used to have purple hair) knew what she was doing, friendly, and didn't take too long. About $40 for the whole thing (see picture). The only problem was that they called the morning of and said they would have to move my appointment to a later time and I missed getting to have lunch with my extended family (since I had to work the next week). The purple has now faded and left behind a blonde ombre, which I'm highly satisfied with. I mean, blondes have more fun right? (On the other hand, my mom had come here for a color touch-up and spent 6 hours here. That's right- 6 hours! They couldn't find a student for her because her's called in. Hence, an hour of waiting. After all that, she didn't get the color she had asked for. I've also noticed they aren't very consistent about getting back to you on modeling opportunities - i.e. if they need a hair model or for one of their hair shows)

Nonetheless I was excited to help out my girlfriend and get a treatment at the same time! I showed up early expecting to wait for my 10 o'clock appointment but I was helped promptly when I arrived. The lobby is very trendy with two stylish chairs in the front waiting area. There is a large stairway that leads up to the work stations and all the students. For my facial they took me to a large room with about four or five treatment tables along one side. So no you do not get a private room, but like I said I didn't know what to expect. Definitely not a big deal to me just be aware that you are going to a school for students are learning! My only complaint is that the heating was not working in that room only so it was a bit chilly but Tiffany made sure to take care of me and got me a blanket to keep me warm for my treatment. My facial was great and I would definitely go back. I even got a complementary hand massage before I left! There were specials on a chalkboard in the lobby when I walked in so it might be worth calling if you're interested in seeing what kind of specials they are doing at any time. I'm pretty sure you can do hair, nails, and skin treatments there! I almost forgot! Makeup application too!

I came to a consultation in advance and the instructor told me with full confidence they could give me those results. After a bleach and tone this is how my hair came out. I explained that the orange is absolutely not okay and i told the instructor how upset i was about the quality of the bleach. She said it's due to my hairs natural color that it came out orange. I told her i disagree that it's my hairs fault when i specifically was told by her that her student could achieve this balayage job. She wanted me to wait to speak with a director after i had already been in the salon from 9am-3:30pm. Instead of taking my concerns seriously she brushed it off like it was MY issue. I walked out without paying. The woman who instructs the students is needs to reevaluate her career choices since she very clearly does not know what she's talking about. While i was getting bleached the instructor only checked on my hair twice. If she had told me they couldn't give me the job i wanted and to go else where i would've been fine doing that.
