Went in for a 5 year old hair cut. No idea adding a quick blow dry that ended with it not fully dry for an additional $40!!! $70 for a CHILD's hair cut! I died!!! I came in on Saturday with my 8 yo and my 3 yo after making an appointment in advance for 11:30. We arrive at 11:30 sharp and saw that we will have to wait a bit bc there were 2 people ahead of us, 2 other customers arrived after us and for some reason we were ignored, so after the 2 customers that came after us were called to get their haircut and it was already 11:55, I decided to take my boys and get a haircut elsewhere! I've been coming to this salon for 6 years, and that's actually happened before, making an appointment, arriving on time and being ignored for almost half an hour. I've received great haircut service in this location before but only on Sundays. I would avoid this place on Saturdays especially, since the stylists are different on most days. I have a feeling that we were ignored bc of us being Jewish, our names are very Jewish and the person who answered the phone had an Arabic accent. In 6 years of coming to this location I have never encountered any racism, but I guess the owners don't mind hiring racist employees! I won't ever come back there, and I'm a very good tipper! I'd take my hard earned money to a salon that treat Jewish people with respect, don't hire racist stylists and make sure to honor their appointment time, especially when I have to wait with 2 little children! I've been here 3x by now. First two were mediocre at best. The last one really sucked. I told the stylist what I wanted and how I wanted it cut. I even showed her a photograph of how I wanted it. Apparently she had her own agenda and didn't take any consideration of mine on how to cut and style my own hair. I never had a service where my haircut made me cry with tears of disappointment. Found one and I was seen right away by Lexie. I told this pleasant lady what I wanted and she did just that. I was in and out about 15 minutes. I appreciate the fact that she didn't try to sell me color, shampoo or any other hair products. I know it's their job but it's pretty annoying when they push products at you. I have never been disappointed. Sure you get what you pay for, and it's usually around $20, but I've always left satisfied. I've been going to this Supercuts for a long time and they always take walk ins quickly while still doing a thorough job. The wash cut blow dry is my favorite but I wouldn't recommend getting a color here because it is very overpriced. We just left here and my daughter is in tears, like hysterical ugly crying. She came in to trim the end off her mullet, she wanted to have just a bob, and came out of the "salon" with an army crew cut. No joke it is that short. She is a teenager and I was not allowed to wait inside, or else I wouldve advocated for her. She showed the lady several pics of a bob haircut and told her repeatedly she just wanted to cut off the mullet part and to leave everything else. Im furious, and sick watching her feel so badly. How rude of her, this really shocked me. Anyway, it was time for me to find a new hair stylist. I decided to give SuperCuts Stoneham a chance to win my business. I called ahead and made an appointment for hair cut. The stylist Kim did an excellent job! I am a picky hair customer because of few very bad hair cuts by stylists with very little experience cutting short hair (probably they were just out of hair school). Kim has 30 years experience. I can't believe how bad the reviews are my experience was awesome. I could kick myself for not remembering my hairdresser. She was blonde, maybe later 30's early 40's? She said she's been a hair stylist for 21 years. She was AWESOME. I told her I'm really lazy with my hair and I wanted a good amount cut off but something not wicked high maintenance. I cannot tell you how many compliments I've gotten. It looks like a $100 haircut. Like a KhloéKardashian long bob... like a lob (I clearly know nothing about hair). I dono. I was wicked impressed. Saw numerous people walk in and be taken immediately. So I asked what how much longer it would be and I was told that I was next in line. This place is a joke right. This woman uses clippers on my hard that pull my hair, I keep telling her. Finally she uses another persons clippers but keeps using the same blades and it's pulling my hair I tell her and she keeps clipping. I finally had to tell her to stop. I ended up walking out with my hair half cut. I asked for the district managers number and she writes it on a card. I get in my car and call and it's their own store number they give me. I have a boring haircut - just cut straight across the bottom, so why not? You can be in and out here in 30 minutes, even with a wait and I always get a good straight cut. Just had a terrible haircut at this location. After being a loyal customer for over two years. Do not let Cassandra cut your hair. She is rude and very unpleasant. She did not take her time. My head and neck are sore from her jabbing me with the hair clippers. First off I want to say. Cassandra is the absolute best hair stylist I've been to. I've been everywhere and she's a gem to find at a Supercuts. I get my haircut by her every 2 weeks and so does my son. She's professional,courteous and kind. Very gentle with my boy as well. I just had a great experience there. So i came on here to leave this message of Admiration but instead I was shocked to see such and outright lie by commenter "Frank T". I was in the salon when Frank was there. And like always Cassandra was more than professional while Frank was complaining that she would not shave his back? Are u kidding me? He was telling her to pull his shirt down so she could shave the top of his back. I almost vomited when I heard this?? How insane do you have to be to ask somebody besides your wife or your mother to shave your back. Frank T. If you want a woman you don't know to shave your back. Call bob kraft. Thanks for wasting my whole day off. I called this am. I asked if they did color . The girl says yes but the color girl won't be in till 2pm . I said "ok well I would like my hair very red." "Can you do that?" She said yes. We don't take appointments but we do take call aheads . I came in 20 min early . Shortly after the color lady came in. Than so did a cute old lady. The color lady Immediately took her and said ok I have to give you a conditioning before I can lighten your hair . I was thinking wow. We won't be returning. I would have selected zero stars if it were an option. I have been going to the Stoneham Supercuts for about 15 years, but I also go to other locations if I'm in need. I have never been disappointed. I find that their staff changes a lot - so I seldom am able to get a name and stick with that person. That said, everyone I get has been really good. I describe (loosely!) what a want and get a cut that I can work with. For under $20 and less than 30 minutes. Recently the cutter seemed to do very little - she probably took less off than I wanted, but the style was different to what it was when I went in, and I liked it. I frequently get compliments on my hair and I do not hesitate to tell people where I go. For many years I spent a lot of money on mediocre - and sometimes bad - cuts. 20 years ago I might have spent upwards of $75 and I was always disappointed. I tried Supercuts cause I figured it couldn't be worse and at least i wouldn't be out a lot of money. I have never regretted the move and I'm not in the least bit tempted to go back to a fancy salon. Their formula works for me and the price is right. read more

If you only need a trim on the bottom, then this this place is okay, but I wouldn't have anything else done. They either don't listen or don't know how to cut what you want. First of all, it was my mistake for going to Supercuts on a Sunday, instead of just waiting until the Men's Room was open on Monday. Having said that, WOWWWW. I'm embarrassed to go to work tomorrow with the butchered hair cut I just got. The woman who did it seemed like a nice enough person, but her hands were shaking the entire time!
