Last Sunday Tess cut my hair. I asked for a trim and said, "an inch shorter and my bangs just above my eyebrows." My bangs are now 2 1/2 inches above my eyebrows, and my hair is so short that I cannot put it in a ponytail anymore (she cut over 4" off of my hair). On top of that, my hair on the right side is much shorter than on the left side. My neighbor asked me yesterday if I cut my own hair... Please don't let Tess ruin somebody else's hair! read more

I've used supercuts in a pinch and actually think Kendra at the Essex store is really good.. I moved and decided to go to Williston one instead.. literally told the hair dresser what my previous stylist and sister (stylist) told me to tell her.. she didn't want to listen or talk and 8 minutes later she's done!! Will not go back to Williston.. the stylist was younger but as I sat waiting passed my appointment time and she walked around on her phone, checking schedule look at me then walk away.. also had no problem with her friends hair who was before me.. well she lost a good tip and customer.. I will drive extra to Essx salon!!!! One star service, did not listen to instructions ... 5 star to Kendra at Essex salon!! read more

I ONLY PUT ONE STAT BECAUAE I HAD TO, TO MOVE ON. I just had the worst experience ever at this place. I went to get a simple blonde high light done and my roots touched up (went in blonde) and I got a girl who just started and when she was done making a mess of my hair and the salon I had greenish brown dark hair! I just wanted my roots done and more blonde highlights. I am extremely upset and my hair is ruined now! Lisa tried her best to fix it however it's now an orange strawberry blonde color I do not like it and am not happy with the way it turned out. Lisa really tried her best but I didn't want to change the color of my hair I wanted to go lighter blonde! that was not the out come. I don't think I will ever return to this salon nor will I refer anyone to go there. I also feel as if my hair should be fixed the way I want by another salon and Supercuts should pay for the mistake one way or another! This was by far the worst experience I've had to endure! You don't think when you go in to a hair salon they would do such quick job and find out there was a mistake when I got to the car and looked in the mirror I noticed the hair over your ears were longer then I had asked for. I go back in and wait to talk with the lady in the pink flower dress who did my hair. When I went up to talk to her I was calm and respectful when talking to her. I said "I would like the hair over the ears to be shorter" the lady goes "so it's 1inch on each side" I go "right but I wanted the hair over the ears to look neater and shorter" you would think they would help you out and the person who did your hair would be the only one talking to you but oh no, here's what happens. The woman who did my hair said " the reason it looks like that is because we didn't do any products and it dried like that" at this point I was still calm but I kept my ground and said what I need to say. Also at this point as well I had said "I had asked for it to be shorter over just the ears" now the other woman jumps in and says "so you want a DIFFERENT hair cut then what you asked for" I said "no, what I want is to have it done how I wanted it done". I don't understand how it went south so fast, when I just wanted them to fix there mistake is all I wanted. I have never come to this one before I usually go to the one in Essex I don't have this problem there like I did here today. By the time I had enough of there response I said to my uncle who I had come in with me because I'm not good at tell people they made a mistake "let's just leave" I had never in my life felt such disrespect. I decided to leave them with this last sentence "I'm NEVER coming back here again". We walked out the door and that was it. I suggest go to Essex or st albans or South Burlington anywhere but here. Pleasant staff. Got my daughter in an hour as a walk in. However she asked for curtain bangs, long and draping the sides of her face. They were cut blunt at her eyebrows! Holy cow!! If you dont know what curtain bangs are, maybe ask more questions! Very, very upset teenager. read more

I've gone here a number of times now for kids haircuts, and they are great. It is a little pricier than going to a local shop for kids haircuts, but they actually answer the phone, have appointments available, and can 3 kids in and out of the door in 30 minutes. My usual barber was booked up for 3 weeks so I decided to try out supercuts. There is a reason their prices are so low. Unwelcoming upon entrance, & unskilled when it comes to actually giving a haircut. To say my hair was butchered would be an understatement. I must've been in the chair for just about 15 minutes, the hairdresser rushed through the job, and lacked the attention the detail that is required for such a profession. Luckily I have some clippers and I was able to fix it up a bit. If you're reading this, supercuts employee; please, at the very least, make sure the sideburns are symmetrical! read more

I went in asked for a clipping on the sides with the #2 blade and cut the top. I was told she fades from the top down. And asked if I use gel, I said yes. Then she wanted to talk about the guards on the clipper. Confused I said fine try a spiy and she just shaved my whole head. I have no hair she used the #2 clipper on my whole head. Do not go there. Go somewhere else and spend more money it is going to be months before I can even use a comb. Zero stars but I have to add one to post this. read more

Okay. This is the third and last time back here at Super Cuts. I had a third time scheduled appointment for my son. Each and every time I set an appointment I am punctual. Each and every time I have had to WAIT 45 to 60 minutes PAST my scheduled appointment to get his hair cut. This is inexcusable and unacceptable. I refuse to give my business to a establishment that does not respect my time. Here at Super Cuts appointments mean absolutely nothing. My valuable time means absolutely nothing. From here on out SuperCuts will get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING more from my wallet. As a sat idle waiting patiently for my turn to come up. I watched countless people walk in and be told next available appointment is 2 to 3 hours out. This is ridiculous as this place says walk ins are welcome. If you want to waste your time waiting for a less than mediocre haircut go for it. Otherwise save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. By the way they totally butchered my son's hair. I am actually going to make a formal complaint to the management... Supercuts you should be ashamed of yourself. read more

My review is for Vina. She is an excellent hair braider. I have gone to her numerous times to have my hair French braided or pretty much any kind of braid she can do it all. There aren't many people or hair salons in Vermont that offer this type of service so I'm very happy I found her and would recommend her for sure. read more

Update: The franchisee owner contacted me and has done everything he could possibly do to 'make this right." Even he agreed, it will take a couple of months until it is right, due to nature and the slow speed of hair growth. I am satisfied with the many steps the franchisee owner has take. Last week, I had a problem with this SuperCuts, specifically with a hair cutter named Ashley. ********************** Do not let Ashley near your hair. I am a senior male with short-to-medium hair length. I had short sideburns to the middle of the ear. One sideburn was handled correctly, the other was completely removed. The area around each ear is cut differently. She did not clean my neck as asked, nor did she follow SuperCuts protocol and offer a hot towel at the end of service. The other 'cutters' said there is no way to fix what was done. This is embarrassing as I must give a eulogy tomorrow with this butchered haircut. I have frequented this location for the past year and this is the only time I have had a problem. I went there for a regular trim. The woman didn't ask if I wanted my hair washed, proceeded to cut it practically dry, told me that if I wanted framing pieces It would look like a mullet. I've never had this experience at a hair salon, not to mention she didn't even talk to me the whole time. When I got home, I brushed my hair and was still getting knots out. The woman who cut my husband's hair yesterday was chit-chatting with her cousin who is expecting a grand child any day. I was patiently waiting with my 5 month old when she sat next to me, reached OVER my lap and touched my son's face, pinched his cheeks, grabbed his feet, played with his toy and mimicked raspberries covering us both in spit. She wasn't a clean woman, either. You do not have the right to touch a baby that isn't yours. Basic social etiquette was ignored here and the employees didn't even seem to notice how inappropriate this was. Says a lot about the people they hire, huh? Also, the haircut sucked. I'm going back to His and Hers Hair - you really do get what you paid for and as it turns out- $17 gets you an invasion of your personal space and a crappy fade. 0/10 would NOT recommend. read more

Went in on Sunday for my usual trim and blow dry. 1/4 an inch is what I asked for. I have been growing my hair out and it has taken two years for it to get past my shoulders. Blow dry looked great and my hair felt healthier. I thought it looked shorter because she used product to add volume. Took a shower yesterday and noticed at least three inches gone. WTF?!? read more

Refused to cut my synthetic wig, because she "wasn't certified", but when I attend the super cuts in South Burlington on Shelburne Road they don't have a certification and are completely willing to help me. When confronted in person she said if a black person walked in the store she wouldn't help them because she can't. Mind you, not all black people have the same type of hair. I've been trying to be a "good customer" of this Supercuts location for the past 9 months. And I'm giving up. Here's why: --- There's constant staff turnover. Calling to find out if someone is available is always met with: "She's not working here anymore." --- Following simple directions seems to be very difficult, as other reviewers have noted. --- Don't count on an appointment to mean anything, and "walk-ins" really aren't welcome. That was today's "last straw." I stopped in shortly after they opened today. There were three people waiting. I was immediately asked if I had "called ahead." For a walk-in hair salon, that's a pretentious first question. I was told that they wouldn't have anything available for the next two hours. So I made an appointment, and reorganized my morning. I returned shortly before my appointment and was recognized as a "back later." The two people working then proceeded to take others ahead of me, after seeing me and acknowledging that I was there and waiting at the appointed time. I gave up and walked out. I give up. Supercuts as a concept is great. Intense training in their own method to deliver a very predictable cut, fast, and at an attractive price. But this franchise is a Supercuts in name only. No sign of training, not even in good customer care. This is a personal service business, and needs to be managed like one. It isn't. Frankly, I get better and much more personal service at the Eco Car Wash nearby. They had their chance, I'm now done. read more

She listens to what I want and makes suggestions so that my hair looks exactly how I want it. U won't go anywhere else. Iv been seeing Lisa for 3 years and will keep having her do my hair. read more

This is the first bad review I've ever written. But my experience here was simply horrible! All I wanted was a trim for my bangs - I specifically said that I wanted to keep my side bangs, but just to have them trimmed because they were getting slightly too long. Well, a few snips later, I was shocked to look in the mirror and see that my bangs had been reduced to VERY short, little frizzy all-over-the-forehead bangs... after I have spent many months growing them out. I'm so disappointed. I can hardly stand to look at myself in the mirror! My "bangs" look awful, and I'm back on the long road of re-growing them out.
