They only had a small selection of the high socks and not the right size, but settled for a pair of sandals for 1.3€ - what a deal. We've been to several Primarks in the United States but the size of this one is overwhelming. FYI: this was NOT a paid attraction in Amsterdam.

For context, River Island clothing stores don't exist in the US, but I find myself shopping online using their app often. Before my trip, I purchased a pair of jeans that didn't fit (can someone explain how a US size 2-4 translates to a UK size 10?!) and realized I couldn't return them from the US. Instead, I tracked down a River Island store near Dam Square and set out on a quest to get my $50 back lol. So, back to the review... I stopped by just in time since the store is actually closing down this month. Almost everything was on sale, from swimwear to formalwear. I got a gorgeous summer dress for 10€ (originally €65) and a cute pair of corduroy pants for 10€ (originally €40). I was also able to process my international return with the lovely cashiers who were VERY patient as they processed a return for merchandise sold to me in GBP, charged to my card in USD, with a mandatory return to my card of EUR. Say that 3 times fast. Enough to confuse anyone, but they made it happen without any complaints (and we had a good laugh about it afterwards). If you're roaming around Dam Square and need some retail therapy, visit River Island before they close!

I think it is a great spot for it, between the antique shops. This shop is a bit smaller than the other two but it still has two floor, there is a basement as well. They sell the same kind of items as there other shops, but since everything vintage is ussualy one of a kind, this shop is worth a visit as well even though you already went to the other ones.

Monki is really awesome. It is a Swedish brand, from the same owner as H&M. I would describe their style as; basics with a twist, edgy, hip and colourful. They use a lot of colour, also colourblocking, interesting fabrics. They have a lot of stuff that is oversized. Also a lot of things with nice prints. Shoes, bags, socks, underwear and very cool jewellery. Inside, the shop also looks really cool and the girls shopping here do as well. This place attracs a young hip,almost hipster crowd. Girls who love to combine vintage with new stuff. The staff at this place is also very friendly and helpfull. Monki's prices look like the prices at H&M, so it is not expensive.

If you are looking for some second hand cheerleading outfits however, you have come to the right place because for some reason they have a large selection of these things. To me I was glad I got to see this store and whatnot, but they stuff I tried on all fit weird so I ended up leaving empty handed. Also the area it is in is nice, but on Fridays and weekends it becomes crowded with tourists inside the store as well as the streets right out the store and this is annoying when trying to shop in the store.

Kilo-shop is a new Vintage shop on Waterlooplein, basically in the same location as Out of the Closet. Unfortunately Out of the Closet closed and was quickly replaced with Kilo-shop. I am sure if Out of the closet concept was similar to Kilo-shop, then they would have lasted longer. Shopping in here I guess is like shopping at the market. They weigh your clothes on the scale and that determines the final cost. It's an interesting concept, ideal for vintage lovers, students, or hipsters. Kilo Shop is originally from Paris, so whether your in Amsterdam or Paris stop in and have fun browsing through tons of second hand clothes.
