I traded in my perfectly running 2019 F-150 for a 2018 Chevy Silverado with just over 100,000…read moremiles. After driving it for only three days, the lifter collapsed. The dealership said they would inspect it and let me know what was wrong, but they never gave me a full explanation. Instead, they simply told me the repairs would cost too much, that they wouldn't fix it, and that they wouldn't be liable for any future issues. They ended up putting me in another truck and transferring my loan over--this time with a higher monthly payment, even though I was already struggling with the original amount. The windshield on the new truck was supposed to be replaced before I got it, but I had to bring it back to get that done. When I first received the truck, it wasn't even detailed, despite their promise to clean it. There was mud underneath, and they agreed to give me a full detail. I dropped it off at 8 a.m. and didn't get it back until 6 p.m.--only to find out nothing had been done. All in all, the dealership has had my truck longer than I have. I've spent more time on the phone with them than I ever have with any business. Truly a disappointing and unprofessional experience.

Most used dealerships throw the carfax report at you and what you can read yourself, is the extent to what they know about the vehicle themselves.
