Great customer service! Our car broke down today on I-65 while we were on our way to our vacation destination. We do have AAA, and Thank God for that. Our service provider was Wilson's 24 Hour Towing out of Crawfordsville, IN. They were very helpful, friendly and courteous. The Dispatcher was more helpful than the AAA representative (and she did a good job), but this guy was top notch. Our driver, Craig, was very helpful and friendly. It was good to be in the company of a fellow Marine Corps Veteran, and he knew how to get our minds off of our car drama and just connect with my wife and I like human beings. I'm a High School Principal and my wife is a Human Resources Executive and I'm telling you that this guy has great interpersonal skills. He could literally run for political office. I left you a review about how rude your dispatcher was a complete jerk to us. I do stand corrected on my date because it was my Saturday as I work 3rd shift. I went back in my call logs since you said you could not find it. We were trying to get to work on night shift it was our Saturday but our call to wilsons was around 9 pm. It was absolutely a man and very disrespectful man at that. From the way we were treated for being Hispanic I would venture to say your man representing your company is a racist. We speak English and he understood he just refused to help us 2 times. I wish I had a recorder and I would prove it to you folks. We called 2 times that night begging for help all we got was rude, racist and disrespectful. This thing honestly was surprising considering have heard good things about Wilsons. I got a nail in my tire on the way to work nightshift. I called Wilson's at 3:15a to see if someone could place my spare on so I did not have to deal with it after a long 12 hour shift. They were so kind enough to let me leave my keys in a safe location so the gentleman could swap the tires out seeing I was unsure if I had time to leave the hospital. The technician called me at 0403 saying it was all done and tire in the back of my car. Very quick, very polite and worth every penny! Great service. read more

Good experience. From the roadside assistance by a kind tow truck driver on a Sunday morning to calls answered when I called for updates and an estimate. Car was completed on time at a decent price point. The only downside was they told me they would call "when the part arrives" and "when we get started", but those calls didn't arrived. I had to call in for all my updates. But the bottom line was towed, parts & labor for under $300, in less than 36 hours. Sweet! read more

I was just outside of Lebanon and hit something. Driver's side rear tire had 0 PSI. I wasn't in a position to change the tire, so I had to get it towed. Wilson's wasn't the closest, but they were able to assist me quicker than any place I called. The guy who picked me up was very polite and we even had a good conversation on the way to Belle Tire. Cannot recommend them highly enough. On a road trip home from Indianapolis to IL, my car had an issue late yesterday afternoon and I was parked by the side of the road. When he showed up, he asked me to wait in the truck as it was a busy and dangerous road. Since it was so late, I wasn't sure that I'd get anyone to help fix it until the following day. He told me it was a minor issue and he took care of it at his shop. I was able to make it home safely. So thankful AAA called the right people to help me out! read more

They came out after my insurance company said we can do nothing for you. I was stranded and my insurance company told me to call an Uber, then I found Wilson's online, called them and within 45 minutes they were there and got my car off the highway and to the dealership. This is the worst place I have ever gone. I'm 40 years old and I also own my own business and after 30 min of talking to the OWNER who said she knew nothing about vehicles and her techs couldn't remember if they even finished putting together the parts on my vehicle (witch they did not, my son and I did) kept asking me what she could do about my issue, knowing she was not going to do anything, ( witch was with in a hour of getting back my vehicle the transmission is now shot) and the problem to begin with was only to change a clutch cable. I dont know why they didn't finish putting together the parts (very unprofessional) but if the techs who are supposed to be so good where to test drive it they would have seen it was not fixed. And I dont mean from the lift to a spot in the back, I mean at least around the block. My 18 year old daughter who knows nothing about vehicles said it was not fixed when she got it home straight from Wilson's. I asked for a tech to show me what they did and he did not say anythin, the VERY unprofessional BOY turned around and walked back in the garage without a word. The owner kept saying sorry but it is your problem. I guess my first problem was bringing it to Wilson's. The men in back also just kept watching the OWNER and I go back and forth even after she said she know nothing about vehicles. I guess they have the last laugh because my daughter who started college this year now has no vehicle but they WHERE paid for the incomplete work they did ( witch at the very least should have been reimbursed for since they didn't even finish). In my company if I am wrong I say it and fix the problem, I dont ask the customer what can I do. I have never in 25 years of driving and many vehicles ever delt with such unprofessionalism. I had a tow truck go get it and even he said he has heard this before about them. I would rather drive a vehicle in a lake then bring back to Wilson's....... I kept having alignment problems on my car and the shop I was taking it to, every year, they'd always blame it on ball joints; I'd pay for those an then then subsequent alignment. Well, this last time, I did the ball joints myself before I took it into their shop...once again, they blamed ball joints. Um, no, we're done here. Go pad your service ticket on someone else. Thankfully I had time to take it out to Wilson's now that they have their own alignment rack. Ball joints? Nope, no problems there. Seems the other shop was just being lazy on the alignment and when they said "that's as close as we can get it to specs" it was just being sloppy. Wilson's spent the better part of an afternoon getting everything back the way it should be. It hasn't driven this straight in, well, forever. I'm very impressed. Longer trip for me, sure...but I trust them. Also very helpful that they check other items on the car as well to make sure it stays safe. read more

TOWING SERVICE REVIEW. I recently was victimized by Indiana's great winter ice storm. After leaving work in Lafayette I became stranded on the side of the road after a slide off, the roads everywhere were horrendous, had I not been on my way home and unaware of the conditions before leaving I would have been off the roads like others. But fast forward to what matters, after sitting on the side of the road for 5 hours and calling multiple times requesting a TOW home. I was greeted by a small wench truck and a crew of a man and I'm assuming his wife. The people never told me their names, I was spoken maybe 3 words to by either person. After asking if the truck was going to tow me home the man driving the truck proceeded to laugh and inform me "(He)had other things to do,good luck " I was never offered a receipt, was treated poorly, mocked, laughed at, and service was beyond subpar. I have always used WALTZ and will continue from here on. read more

Our car broke down as we were returning home to Westfield, IN from the Roger Ebert Film Festival In Champaign-Urbana, IL. The tow truck came quickly and the driver was professional and friendly. After we arrived, we were offered water and use of the bathroom---both were much needed. Everyone was friendly and professional AND even though they close at 5:00, they stayed late, an entire extra hour, to make sure our car was fixed and we could make it home. You don't get this warm, small town feel/help many places today. Consider giving this business a chance to service your car. :) read more

The repair side of Wilson's Towing is called Wilson's AutoTech I drive a cargo van nationwide as a business, and travel about 120,000 miles a year. Needless to say, the truck needs constant preventative maintenance and repair of wear items. I can get 500,000 miles out of a well maintained truck. I have to in order to mke the vehicle pay over time. As I travel constantly, I can't use just one shop, and have developed a network of trusted providers around the country. Wilson's Autotech has been great to work with, and I have deadheaded as far away as Louisville, KY just to get to this trusted shop. My experience has been that they listen to my description of symptoms, and theory of needed repairs. I am then presented with an estimate of repairs needed, including options for different parts manufacturers at different price points to chose from, along with advice from the staff as to what parts they have used in the past and what the results have been. I buy a lot of auto repair, and have a mental list of low, medium and high rates for various repairs, and I believe Wilson's is solidly in the middle of the range of prices you will find. To my thinking, this is the sweet spot. The cheapest is always suspect. A fair price is all I expect for quality work from a knowledgeable shop, and I always get that at Wilson's, along with the feeling that this family cares about me as a customer, and is striving to provide the best service anyone can offer. They recently started selling and installing tires, and have good prices in this department as well. I am quickly getting to the end of life on the ones they sold me six months ago, and will be going back to them for the new ones. I change tires twice a year given the miles that I drive. read more

Highest price we've ever paid for towing a 53 foot Dry Van trailer. I own a small trucking company out of Indianapolis and require towing services on occasion. Their pricing structure is the most aggressive I've ever seen. Typically we see pricing between $125 to $175 an hour with a two hour minimum. They charged us $1,750 for 4 billed hours. $350 an hour plus a $350 hook fee. We had a similar job performed earlier in day by a different company for less than $600. I would recommend using a different service. read more

Haven't had any work done here but had them tow our car 30 miles up the road to Lafayette, In. Jesse, our driver was extremely professional, polite, and helpful through the whole process. It's never fun having to get your car towed but Jesse helped ease the mood and make sure that we were well taken care of by even driving us to several hotels after dropping the car off to ensure that we got a hotel at a fair price. read more

My dad, my young daughter, and I had our truck give out in Crawfordsville. We were enroute to Chicago with a 29-ft. camper attached. Gah. Not only did they tow our truck to a dealership, they towed the camper to their lot and kept it for us for several days--at no charge--until we could return from Chicago with a replacement truck. I was in Crawfordsville, IN to visit my daughter and on the way in to town I got two flats (Yep, lucky me!). One I noticed on the freeway, and got it fixed on the side of the road. The other I didn't notice until I was passing by Wilson's. I stopped in and they got me fixed up quickly and for a fair price. The most amazing part of this is, they were closed! It was after hours, the guys were there working on prior orders finishing their day. They were SO nice, to still take me in and fix that tire. I had less than 5lbs of air pressure in it. We were traveling through the area when our car overheated. We were towed by Wilson's, which was done very quickly and professionally. The people at Wilson's are friendly and the repairs were done quickly. One problem we had was with the cost of the repair. We needed a new radiator for a 98 "Honda Civic and they also replaced the thermostat (we are not convinced that was needed). They filled all the fluids but did not replace any hoses. The cost of the repair was just under $500. When we returned home, we found that we could get the radiator & the thermostat for about $100 which means they charged us nearly $400 for a 45 minute repair. The worst part is that 3 days after we returned home, the radiator had lost all of its fluid again and the car overheated. Unfortunately Wilson's is 3 hours from our home so we are without recourse. We called them and they were friendly but really did not care. read more
