Daniel Sr. and his son Daniel, were at my house within two days of my initial phone contact to evaluate the job. They provided me a proposal within days. I subsequently enlarged the scope of the project, and they made several more visits over the next two weeks. The project consisted of two stamped concrete patios, two stamped concrete aprons, a stamped concrete walkway, 135' of fence footing, and one propane tank pad. Once finalized a start date was scheduled. Though there was a slight delay, they kept me apprised of the situation, and the work commenced as rescheduled. I was particularly impressed with their work as they formed the pour. It's that time when a trade skill and art meet. For example, the two Daniels formed and reformed a walkway ramp with stairs several times over the course of a day before they were satisfied, transforming the mundane to aesthetically pleasing. They were attentive to my concerns regarding drainage and slope, and provided suggestions as work proceeded. At all times during the project, they sought approval as various forms were set in the yard. The core crew are all family members which I believe instills pride in their work. The stamped concrete came out great, and they returned after a month and some sunshine to seal the concrete. In addition to the quality work it was gratifying to do business with a local business.

We hired Ismael and Isabel October 2024 to remove an old driveway made of concrete and asphalt,…read moregrade around our newly built adu, replace and extend the driveway with asphalt, lay gravel, and install a concrete walkway. They worked with care, professionalism, humor and had good communication throughout. They kept our property as clean as they could during the entire job. Ismael and Isabel cut, dug and leveled all the areas. They have their own equipment and it's amazing to see just two people handle such a large job. He supervised the concrete walk install as he subcontracted this work out. In the middle of digging, they encountered a concrete slab from an old garage and driveway. It was not part of the bid to remove, so Ismael provided us with various options, pros/cons for what should be done and the costs. The most cost efficient option was to keep the slab removing all of the loose concrete and level with additional asphalt. Of the 3000 SQFT of grading he did, there is a slight puddle that occurs during the rain between the concrete and asphalt area. The water clears quickly though. Pretty amazing considering the slope of our driveway. I would enthusiastically hire them again!

The work was excellent. We were pleased with the final results and the work has held up as I write this review 2 years later. They helped us find an engineer to draw up the plans, a specialist to manage the asbestos abatement, handled the permits with the city, and suggested stores to shop for new appliances, doors, etc. Phillip is the contractor and Nick is the main point of contact for the client. That combination greatly helped with communication. Phillip could manage the work and Nick helped us get our questions answered. We also set up shared Google Docs that helped communicate our choices and keep everyone abreast of order numbers and arrivals. We could count on them to be here when they said they would be here, do what they said they would do, and deliver quality work. Further, they were willing to take on renovations for a smaller house project. We were ignored by other contractors that prefer to tear down homes and build new rather than renovate. I'd highly recommend them.
