Extreme disappointment regarding the quality and installation of the 18 Simonton windows I…read morepurchased from JDI. The overall product quality is unsatisfactory, and the installation was subpar. I continue to experience drafts and excessive noise through all the windows. The amount of noise I receive from planes (I live nowhere near an airport) and cars is crazy; it was never like this with my old builder grade windows. Furthermore, the caulking is very sloppy. The owner said he was ok with the work and threatened to place a lien on my property the day after the windows were installed if I didn't pay, even though I was not satisfied. Following the owner's suggestion, I completed a Home Energy Audit. I have attached a few photos from that audit which clearly demonstrate significant temperature differences. I have also attached videos demonstrating the air leakage using a fog machine.(I can't attach all the pictures and videos I have and would be happy to share) After I called the troubleshooter radio show, the owner sent a crew to insulate three of the windows that I felt were the worst (which helped a little). I was then asked to pay for the insulation of the remaining windows. It is unclear why new windows would be installed without proper spray foam insulation in the first place. Additionally, two of the windows still do not close or lock correctly, even after the sashes were replaced twice. Given my significant investment, this has been a regrettable experience.

His business name isn't suggested as the first option on Google, but I'm glad I decided to browse and contacted him. I texted Mike with a couple of pictures of the bent frame and also mentioned what else we needed to get done. Not only Mike gave an estimate, he also suggested that we didn't need to replace the entire bent frame. He was able to schedule us a couple of days after I contacted him, on a Saturday. He came on time, took a look at what needed to get done and he just started to work on all our window screens. We didn't want to rush him, because we would prefer that he does a great job than rushing through the job, but he did both! Fast and an awesome job. Mike is also friendly, helpful, realistic, honest and professional at the same time. I like the fact that we can ask his opinions on things related to the work he does and he answered all our questions. It has been a breath of fresh air to work with Gravina's Window Center of Littleton. We had tried going the route of "finding a great deal" in the past, only to discover cheap is expensive in the long run, and our "deals" had left us with poor quality products and even worse quality workmanship. We decided this time around we would research and interview for all of the projects we were about to begin - this time it would be about finding the best value for our money, professionalism, quality and workmanship. Our first meeting with Gravina's was to look into replacing a few basement windows. After meeting with Jim Gravina, Mike Gravina and Justin Shyong - loving their energy, knowledge and ideas - we decided to have them replace the windows in the basement and replace our back patio doors. I can't begin to express how excited we were to see the finished project - the back door had become a favorite focal point of our home! Once we had actually seen, and experienced the difference with the windows, door and workmanship from Gravina's, it was a "no-brainer" to have them handle "phase two"... siding our garage and replacing the garage windows. Again, everything was awesome! Knowing that our James Hardy siding was done according to all of the proper guidelines of the product was important to us. Of course, with everything going better than we could have expected, I can honestly say, we were excited to hire Gravina's again for "phase three"... replacing the windows and front entry door on our main level (the remainder of the house), they continued to exceed our expectations and we are absolutely ecstatic about everything! The sales rep, Mark, provided a detailed itemized quote and answered initial spec questions promptly. When I mentioned that another vendor's quote was significantly lower and asked for a formal contract to compare, the rep declined to finalize the contract or calculate exact measurements unless I first shared the competing company's proposal. I explained that I don't share competitor quotes with any vendor, as a matter of fairness, and asked again for Gravina's own formal contract with their best price. I followed up twice over the following week, including a specific deadline for the contract, and received no contract or further response from the rep. I then forwarded the full email exchange directly to the sales director so the company could review it and respond if they chose to. That email also went unanswered. The initial consultation and product information were professional. However, despite being a ready buyer and giving the company multiple opportunities to follow through, I was unable to get a final contract at any level, and ultimately went with another company that provided a complete, firm proposal without conditions.

My son the little baseball player he is had broken 3 of our 6 windows. Decided it was time to fix it up, Called Tibo and he was at my house the next week giving me a quote for the replacements. Price was amazing agreed to the job. He kept me informed through the whole process. Scheduling was a breeze. Showed up on time said the work would take 2 days, his installer Michael absolutely killed the install, knocked it out in 1. The work was amazing clean and timely. I can not reccomend this company more to anyone reading this, to anyone that I know or that even asks about windows.
