Precision Services: A Rip-Off Experience…read more I had the misfortune of contacting Precision Services on a Saturday due to an urgent sewer issue. I needed to address the problem immediately to avoid missing work on Monday. While they responded promptly and were upfront about their $150 after-hours service call, that's where the professionalism ended. Under the impression they were coming to pump my septic tank, I was shocked when Shawn's very young son arrived in a regular pickup truck. He spent no more than 10-15 minutes crawling under my house, called his dad for instructions, and then informed me they'd need to return to cut a cleanout, run a camera, and charge me $1,400--just for that. This price didn't even include locating or pumping my septic tank. Before leaving, Shawn's son insisted I pay the $150 service fee immediately, which I reluctantly did. To add insult to injury, Shawn personally called me after I sent a professional yet stern voicemail about my dissatisfaction but failed to follow through on his promise to contact the Jefferson County Health Department for me. I ended up calling them myself the next day and got the necessary information without his "help." Thankfully, I found another company who came out the next day and completed the same task for just $345. They confirmed what I already suspected: Precision Services is notorious for ripping people off. The other company's comment summed it up perfectly: "They overcharge customers--that's how they afford those $80k trucks." Shawn's management of this family business is manipulative and completely unprofessional. They were quick to cash my check despite doing absolutely nothing to solve my issue. Save yourself the hassle, frustration, and money. Precision Services is a total scam. Avoid them at all costs.
