They just could not dial in the correct prescription for the lenses. It got so frustrating because I could not see properly. Out of desperation I started searching for someone who could help because I felt that there had to be a solution. I saw that Dr.Thompson had an Engineering degree as well. Being an engineer myself and knowing that optics is based on a lot of physics, I I decided on Dr.Thompson. I walked in for my appointment. Dr.Thompson was very clear about the problem. He explained the science behind why others had been struggling. He said he was going to experiment with various lens combinations. When I walked out that day with a trial pair of lenses that he had readily available, I was able to see again. It was like a miracle. After having suffered almost 2 years this was an euphoric experience. I went back for a second tweak and I can now see better than I have been able to see in years!! Dr.Thompson is brilliant! His assistant Sandy is also great in getting everything ready which saves so much time.

This clinic was nothing like that. It was more like a typical doctor's office. A large waiting room and lots of individual rooms where you meet with the doctor and get tested. I suspect they do a lot more here than just perform eye tests, such as surgeries and other eye issues. My eyes were tested and my vision had changed significantly which meant new glasses for me. They do have frames and lenses for sale here, but the display doesn't dominate the office. I elected to come back at a later date which I did. They accept most insurance plans but I would suggest calling first just to be sure.

I had LASEK surgery with Dr. William Keeling at Indiana Eye Clinic in Indiana in 2017/2018. Prior…read moreto this, I had been a patient of Dr. Keeling for most of my life, and my mother was also a patient there. Because of that long-standing relationship, I trusted him completely with my vision and my care. Before surgery, I had multiple consultations with Dr. Keeling. I was told that I was an excellent candidate for LASEK. After surgery, I carefully followed all post-operative instructions and attended many follow-up appointments. Throughout those appointments, I repeatedly reported that the vision in my right eye was not as clear as my left eye. Approximately one year later, Dr. Keeling discussed performing a LASEK enhancement. At that visit, additional testing was finally performed, including a visual field test and OCT scan. At that point, it was discovered that I had a retinal detachment in my right eye. I was told the detachment was severe and "macula off," meaning the central retina had detached. I required emergency retinal surgery the very next day, including placement of a scleral buckle. The retinal surgeon explained that the detachment was serious and had likely been present for a significant amount of time. Following the scleral buckle surgery, my vision permanently changed. I now experience double vision, distortion, loss of detail, and ongoing visual complications. I later learned that I had lattice degeneration associated with my high prescription (-6.00), which raised serious questions for me about whether I was an appropriate candidate for LASEK in the first place. This experience had a profound impact on my quality of life and mental health. I share this review so others will ask questions, seek second opinions, and carefully research all risks.

The original doctors were older folks that recently retired. The doctor that I met with was friendly and kind. He helped to find my correct prescription. Called over the phone to ask for details of updated script and was told I need to pay again if I want help, in a very negative tone. Went to the doctor and the receptionist instantly told me they would call the police if I didn't leave. Eventually the doctor spoke with me and told me that it was my fault and I accepted the bad prescription. They are great as long as you do exactly what they say, otherwise they will treat you very poorly and basically insist you go elsewhere. The customer is only as valuable as the doctor believes that you'll swipe away without asking questions. Also back when they finally got my glasses corrected, I received a text saying to schedule an appointment to pick them up. I didn't understand why I would need an appointment so I just went there to pick them up. Apparently the doctor was having lunch and she had to unlock the door to hand them to me. I'll never forget the look of disdain she had for me, so none of what happened today (above) surprised me l. I was a huge bother then and an even bigger bother today because I asked questions instead of paying right away. I've had good work done there before and she seems to be good at her job most of the time, but it appears that her ego (big shot doctor, (eye roll)) is seeping into how they believe that they should treat customers. I also like that it is a small office and not a huge "clinic" with multiple doctors and a lot of staff which means too much overhead to me. I get two kinds of eye exams and sometimes I don't get both at the same time because the insurance copays are different. One is a medical type for diabetes and the other is just for your eyeglasses prescription. Today was just to check my eyeglasses prescription. The exam went quick. There was no waiting for the doctor to finish up with other patients. I liked the personal service touch here better than the larger clinics.
