I would read the reviews. We purchased a puppy a week ago and have had a horrific experience trying to get a hold of the "solutions team". Once you buy a puppy, the same people who were so confident about the "benefits" become clueless and will not provide answers when the dog is sick. In our case, we are out an additional 2k in veterinary bills because our sweet, calm pup that we purchased was actually terribly sick. No emails, no phone calls, nothing is being returned. read more

AKC breeders always sell from their homes so you can see the parents. Buyer beware.After a thorough research they buy from puppy mills. It's a front once you get in. Never buy any dogs from these places. The breeders have inhumane breeding grounds mostly warehouses. I drove an hour an half here to look at puppies. When I get there, I was asked if I had an appointment. I said no, but do I need one to see any puppies? He told me no, but it's $15 per dog playtime. Cool. I then asked if I can see 3 dogs, he tells me when the room becomes available bc the rooms are currently full. So after waiting an hour, a lady walking by asks, if I need help. I say, yes, I'd like to see 3 puppies. To her response, "well do you have an appointment? Bc as of right now, we're currently busy so if it dies down, you may be able to see a puppy. But earliest appointment would be tomorrow." I tell her the guy in the front told me I was able to see one today without an appointment, but you're telling me no I can't without an appointment? She then repeated what she said to me like I wasn't understanding English in a condescending tone. Don't waste your time here. If you want to spend 7-8 grand on a dog here, make sure you make an appointment so the condescending, curly haired, glasses wearing girl doesn't bother you. read more

Once you walk in, they are only interested in your personal information. sign in is a mandatory with phone number and email address. If you don't make an online appt, they want to charge you for playing with puppies. Yes you read it right. And they will be pushy while you are playing with puppies. *Minus one star for being pushy from the moment you walk in.* And they never take down puppies that are sold from their website so you cannot tell which is available and which isn't until you visit in person or call them. We went in for A and ended up playing with B because A was reserved or sold. That happened multiple times so I can confirm they are baiting and switching your interest. *Minus one star for not being transparent.* Overpriced puppies. Most of them start from $7k upwards, but they are willing to go down to $5k or less if you bargain. We have been inquiring directly from breeders so I'm guessing their cost for each puppy is between $1-2k-ish. *minus one star for vague pricing.* However, pet cages are brightly lit and maintained well. The quality of the pups is good. However, I purchased a rottie puppy from your store in Fairfax, VA yesterday. I chose to take advantage of the 6-month interest-free financing. I qualified for the amount of the pup. As I was wrapping up the deal, the sales associate said the company that financed me charges a 6% fee of the total price of the pup, plus state taxes. This cost me an additional thousand plus dollars. I specifically asked her why they would do that after granting me a 6-month interest-free loan for over $6,000. She said the finance company needs to make a small profit. That did not make sense to me, but I was in deep sorrow because my other dog had passed away the day before, and I was not thinking correctly at the moment. The thought of this action kept me awake, and I decided to call the finance company the next day to inquire about their 6% fee, the company confirmed that they don't apply any fees after granting the loan. I request that fee returned to me. What she did was horrible and unacceptable. I'm very upset and hurt by her actions. She had also lied about the size of the pups' parents, but her supervisor corrected her. After returning home with the new pup, we learned she had supplied us with the wrong dog food as well. I sent an email to their solutions team, who have yet to respond. I've called them three times to no avail. They told me all three times that they expedited my complaint. I look forward to hearing from you. She took advantage of a disabled veteran. Really, it shouldn't matter that I'm a disabled veteran. I would never buy another animal from this store. read more

We were told on the phone that a puppy would be possibly not much more than $2000. We drove over an hour. Long story short: sales people know their script but the price was $6800! We looked at maltipoos. They were straight from a puppy mill: dirty, smelly, matted and having been a breeder myself, I am pretty sure they were not maltipoos. They had tiny eyes, underweight. We were told they knew nothing about the parents. That's when you should leave!..for that kind of price. There were some beautiful puppies there but the atmosphere had a bad puppy mill feeling. NOTHING inviting, just plexi-glass cages and cubicles to visit a puppy for a few minutes. The website did not have the nice puppies that were pictured on the internet. All of the extras they offer to make the price more justified would not even add up to $1000. You don't know if they really had a vet check. The only way they are making money is by selling to people who know nothing about dogs or the market. I recommend that you STAY AWAY! (I was at the Raleigh, NC location.) read more

First thing you'll notice is all the dogs are covered in feces or playing in another dog feces , they don't clean them off before they take them out and hand you a filthy dogs with parasites. This is the most poorly run business. They collect your ID (not make a copy) if you want to look at any puppies to purchase. They make no attempt to return your ID and seem to think that it is the customer's responsibility, not theirs to ensure that customers IDs are returned. They have no knowledge of the animals they are trying to sell. They don't even know the exact age of the puppies. They can't give you any information about the puppy's parents or their breeders. They feed you the same generic line about their breeders being top x percent. They are not knowledgeable regarding the breeds of the puppies and their needs. Unable to quote a specific price until I pressed them. They simply said their dogs range between the price of $6000-$9000. It is an absolutely ridiculous place. I would not buy a puppy from this puppy factory if you paid me and even then I'm still not sure I would trust this place at all. If they cannot manage the simple day-to-day operations of a business, how can they claim to care for all of the animals that are in cages in their shop? This place is a cash grab. They are greedy and their staff are incompetent. Do your due diligence and find your furball elsewhere. read more

Superstar puppies and superstar puppies for sale. Look them both up on Google and the BBB. Now read my story. My wife and I bought a Yorkshire Terrier from the Raleigh, NC location on November 17th, 2025. We put $1,800 down. Financed $5,000 for a total of $6,800. Got her home and noticed she was very lethargic after two weeks of having her. We woke up at 1am on Dec. 02 she was vomiting and could barely hold her head up. She literally died in my wife's arms a minute after she picked her up. We had to email their solutions department because there is no number to contact them. So far it's Dec 05. We haven't received a single response after sending 20 emails. Their contract gives the buyer a 30 day warranty to replace the puppy if something happens. I got curious and looked them up on the BBB and they have an F. They have all 1 star reviews and 15 complaints for the same reasons. I found out about puppy mills and sick dogs for the first time reading there reviews on different forums. Well that's exactly what they are. They are a fancy puppy mill with sick puppies selling for high prices. I want to start a protest and shut them down. we will also be seeking legal action. They need to be stopped. read more

We called the next day and they still would not give us a price for the puppy. Without being a Karen we asked to speak to the manager to see if we could get a price. If i could leave a -10 star I would.Purchased puppy and picked her up the very night and next day I noticed she was scratching at her ears. Made her a vet appt and found this little girl had fleas, bilateral ear infection and too many ear mites to count. After letting Vanessa know and asked for them to refund the vet bills she stated that puppy did not have any of these even though vet stated that the ear infection and mites had to be going on for quite some time to get this severe she also stated she has vet records to show the puppy was healthy. I asked to get a copy of the vet records and she refused. After going back and fourth with this company "Only Pups" they would not respond to any calls, text messages, e-mail. I left chats on the website only to find out they were deleting them. These people claim they love puppies but with their actions you can clearly see they are only in it for money and the customer service is horrible. They are very sketchy and obviously are hiding something. I would NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone. These are horrible people. read more

Read the Better Business Bureau reviews (F) before purchasing a puppy from this disgraceful business and don't believe a word that they say about anything. What I personally experienced-a puppy that was sick with pneumonia-and a store that did nothing to help despite their "lifetime" health guarantee. A store that refuses to provide basic medical information about their puppies. A business that ghosts you after you have paid. AVOID this place at all costs. Horrible place. Finding a pup after your previous one passes away is a very tough. I finally worked up the courage to meet new pups after my last one passed away 10 months ago. I booked a "play date" with a pomsky listed on superstar's website for a saturday at 2pm. They confirmed in the morning and an hour before the appts (2 confirmations on the day of visit). I drove 90+ miles one way to get there and have them tell me the dog was adopted the day before. The place was run by kids. I asked for a manager and was told no manager on site. They looked me and said sorry, good luck finding a dog (with arrogance). read more
