I stopped by the other day, and it was almost like everything was in a time capsule. It felt and looked exactly the same. Nothing looked updated or different, and after a thorough review of the aisles, they seem to have the same standard health food store type items. Definitely some new brands, but mostly the same offerings. One thing I'm seeing a lot more of these days for the health conscious is a focus on added protein and or fiber. I specifically sought out high fiber and high protein, products, and there weren't that many to be honest. A lot of companies are adding one or both of these to their standard products or creating new products to fit this trend, but there wasn't a lot at natural grocers to fit this category. The staff was friendly as usual. I was asked as I was browsing if I needed any help finding anything, and when it was clear that there were a couple of us waiting in line for the one checkout lane they had open, they opened a second one. Very friendly employees, and my interactions with them were pleasant. The interior could use a little refresh. Nothing looked dirty, but the store does look a little dated. I'm not sure what it is about health food stores or sections, but they all tend to smell the same. Not a bad smell, but kind of earthy? I'm not sure anything could be done about that. It would be nice to have a self checkout option. They still only have traditional checkout aisles.

GNC had the product in 3 different products. The employee was extremely helpful and pointed out the different products and was knowledgeable about the supplement which impressed me. Once I decided on which product I was purchasing, the transaction went very smooth. GNC is not as popular compared to past decades but still is a driving force for selling nutritional supplements that big box retailers might not carry. Kudos for having this on your shelf.

There was a mother/son duo browsing the vast selection on the shelves and me. Apparently the lady he was assisting was new to fitness or new to whatever she was buying because she had lots of questions, and he gave her his undivided attention. He wasn't short or impatient and I was impressed! After answering all her questions he rang up her order and wished her well. The couple who was waiting approached the counter, but he politely excused himself and asked the mother/son duo if they needed any help. They asked a few questions to which he provided answers. He made his way back to the counter and assisted the couple, the mother/son duo, and then me. I complimented him on his mastery of customer service and made him aware of the impact he had on me, a first time visitor. I am now a fan and will most definitely be back.
