The crispy beef was fab, the prawns with salt and pepper, the beef and black bean sauce, the Singapore rice noodles and all the rest were delicious and couldn't have wished for anything more. I don't want to be so gushing in praise but 100% would go back again. The whole family were happy with the meal. Can't ask for much more than that!

The menu has all the usual Chinese options...chow mein/chop suey/sweet and sour chicken etc which are standard for any "Chinese" takeaway. What make Good Taste special!? They offer Thai and Malaysian cuisine. I am huge fan of Thai but I've not really sampled much Malaysian food (not that I know of). Anyway Good Taste offer a few set menu meal deals..We opted for the Malaysian set menu for 2 costing £20. The deal consisted of 2 Pork Satay Skewers, Pong Tay Ayam (a chunky chicken like stew), Kari Beef (Creamy Beef Curry), Mee Goreng (spicy noodles with tonnes of veggies) and a large portion of egg fried rice. We opted to collect the food as we only live half a mile away and we wanted the food to be really hot but they do offer a free delivery within a 2 miles radius. The food was all freshly cooked and could have easily fed 3 adults. The staff are very friendly and they kept my order in a warm box until I arrived. In addition to this it has a 5 for food hygiene which can be a rarity for a takeaway of this kind. Something maybe to improve my experience...They could include dish descriptions to the menu. I had to google the dishes in my meal deal. If you live in this area (St Annes/Brislington/St Georges) I'd give it a try!

Despite the delicious cuisine Thailand and other South East Asian countries have to offer, they seem to be somewhat underrepresented on Bristol's restaurant scene. I have no doubt that Thai Classic passes under the radar of many,i which is a mistake indeed. The restaurant has a tranquil atmosphere unusual for the road on which it is situated, I can't exactly imagine it being overrun by stag and hen dos at the weekend. All the staff are Thai and it is clearly authentic down to the very last detail. The food is perhaps not the greatest I've ever tried, but the recipes were tasty and well-executed. Thai Classic certainly isn't new or modern, if anything it reminds me of restaurants how they used to be when I was a little kid being shepherded round oriental eateries by my parents. What it is, however, is good quality, tasty food at very respectable prices with excellent service.

Inside is a very cosy little Asian eatery, specialising in Malaysian and Thai cuisine. There is an extensive menu for both, and also, set meals for each nationality of cuisine. I was particularly impressed by Thai set meal B, especially the garlicky pork dish. (to be honest I'm quite impressed by anything garlicky). Anyhow, I also found the service to be extremely smooth and friendly, making for an overall enjoyable eating experience.

Although I like the fact that many people havent discovered this place. It's great to know there are still places, even in a popular city like Bristol, that can happily churn out a successful business without many of the general public being aware of it's existance. I like noodle, I like eastern food, I like Orchid.

I have only had the one takeaway from here and I'm more of a curry man, but I would definitely come back here. My satay chicken could have been a bit saucier (with more sauce, not wearing high heels and doing a burlesque dance), but my crispy aromatic duck pancakes were perfect; I was served a good size (large) portion and the hoisin sauce was really thick and full of flavour. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming, and I would go back just to be treated like that. I have to be honest about the restaurant itself, it is very 'modern' with wooden benches, white walls, lime green and yellow lights and some people might find this quite a cold environment to spend an evening in, possibly better for lunchtime. But I am told there is a slightly more intimate, dimly lit, 'date' section in the back; just in case they don't look like their photo.
