We just finished our first season with CFAZ and feel like I can give a candid review…read more My daughter spent years doing gymnastics through various community/req style programs. Then a year or so through a satellite location of a major valley gymnastics gym. I could tell she was bored, and frankly...she was not progressing. After some research, we decided to try cheer. We went into the season with the intention of joining a non-travel, but during evaluations, the Coaches asked if we would consider putting our daughter on a more competitive travel team and we went for it! If you are new to the world of All-Star cheer as we were...it's super overwhelming at first. There is a significant time and financial commitment from families, however it is pretty well laid out up front in the parent handbook. I've learned in connecting with other Cheer parents (across state lines and other gyms) that this is generally what is to be expected of the sport and not specifically a CFAZ thing. That all being said, reflecting on this last year, my only regret is that we hadn't discovered this program and enrolled our daughter sooner!!! She has LOVED every minute from the very first pre-eval clinic, to the time she finished her last season's performance. YES-- the physical gains from this year are evident. She has grown in all aspects of the sport- but the real value is in the intangibles. Cheer has taught her the importance of team (which as an only child carries a lot of weight with us), discipline, and most of all...it has unlocked a confidence that we hadn't seen before. She (as well as WE) have met some wonderful new friends and families along the way. She has had the opportunity to work with many of the coaches at the gym either from her team, classes or private lessons and they all bring their own unique qualities to the program. If there is one negative to mention its that there is definitely a learning curve for new families. I think many families start in a Prep team to learn the ropes-- so perhaps it was just us jumping right in, but I did wish there was maybe a "All Star Cheer 101" for new families. But even putting that aside, you eventually figure it out. Tips for any new families considering joining this crazy world of All-Star Cheer-- We highly recommend CFAZ!! Recognize that the program's priority is focused around the kids-- not parents. Trust in the process- the coaches will see more of your kids' progress and abilities than you will. Don't be afraid to ask the questions if you have them and find some good veteran families to help fill in those educational gaps along the way.

This place has ninja class, open gym, recreational gymnastics, and team gymnastics and no where…read moreenough seating for parents to sit. There is very little seating that is always taken up or so far away you cannot see your kid. There is an area upstairs that is now closed off I used to be able to watch the toddler class. The lower level never has seating. This is so unsafe, there is a million adults and kids and you cannot know who belongs to who. Any creeper could walk in no questions asked and walk out with a kid they told to keep quiet. Parents need to be able to view and watch their kids for safety. Something bad will happen and then change will occur and that is just sad.

Coach Madi was super patient and took the time to see where my daughter is athletically. My daughter is only 4 years old. Madi was amazed on how advanced and technical my child was and was super helpful regarding information for all star cheer, tumble and other classes. The parent waiting area is beautiful! Running them around for you playing tag, color games on the Matt's and stuff very interactive and motivation sort of games. Tire out the little ones for you;) I have boys so it's nice they hve way to much energy at all times of the day for me to keep up some days lol.. They have their set time to play on the equipment then rotate other classes, in this time they brought our party up stairs to enjoy pizza and cake. Smooth transition. I didn't know of this place and probably wouldn't have if they hadn't had this space available for parties like this. I'm considering taking my kiddos to one of their day camps. They really enjoyed it!

The other families are all very nice and the studio is intimate with a warm family feel - perfect for dancers and their families. My kids have been enrolled with this dance school and I feel that My investment has really paid off for them within their dance skills, personal confidence , posture, and communication skills. I…read moredo not post this lightly and have truly exhausted all time, patience and efforts in resolution. #ArizonaPopWarnerAZPW is a sham and hides behind non working phone numbers and unprofessional representation. My son was registered only to have ridiculous management. They couldn't find games for our Team to play and then in desperation had us playing the same teams repeatedly although much bigger in size and weight.... many children got hurt many parents were dismayed and even threaten lawsuit finally I asked for a refund I was promised a certain amount and then shorted I we reached out again and again to have no one return my call no one replied to my email and no one answer phone calls when given a phone number to contact. The president of this Gilbert league group asked me a parent a paying customer to contact other leagues in The Valley to try to secure games ???!!! when I could not do that even though I had no right to take on this undertaking I was left to contact the league again no one reads return calls there is no phone number that's real or answers and it's as if these people hide behind some fake or fucticious logo I am heart broke as I was a Pop Warner cheerleader growing up. I caution everyone I know to not use this league and to be very very cautious their fees are high over double almost of all other leagues and obviously service and representation and paying public matters not do not use this group
