Both were excellent and packed with flavor. The real test for me was the drive home. I live about 40 minutes away, so I didn't get to eat my sandwich right away. To my surprise, it was still warm when I got home and just as good as if I had eaten it there. That's not something you can say about most sandwiches. The fries were a pleasant surprise as well. Crispy, flavorful, and addicting enough that they barely survived the ride home. Beyond the food, I really enjoyed the shop itself. There was a great selection of specialty meats, seasonings, sauces, and unique items that made me want to take my time and look around. The place was packed, which is usually a good sign, and after trying the food, I completely understand why. It's not often that a first visit lives up to the hype, but this one did. Great food, a well-curated shop, and absolutely worth the drive. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

Self-checkout was available, if marginally functional, and I found a set of single-stall bathrooms to be a welcome development, but they were only available after checking out at the register. There was a lot of weird bush league behavior going on, including a car standing out front double parked after the driver dodged in for what I assume was an online order pickup. It seems like this largely vacant complex should have easier parking and more efforts to discourage bad behavior, but apparently I expect too much.

(Suggest following for daily flavors and updates on selling out) They're open from like 7 AM - 2 pm unless they sell out of donuts before then. Took me literally 1-2 years to finally make it in and when I tell y'all I'm obsessed. Have been back several times since then and it's forever in my local rotation. My favorites so far are the donut holes, chocolate glazed, dc crumb, tiger stripes. Really looking forward to trying most of not all of the flavors they offer. Donuts are amazing, not too pricey, and staff is friendly and seem cool. Interior is small and simple just the donut glass case and register. Highly recommend stopping by Donut Run ASAP!

To be so small, it is packed with lots of good finds. Plenty of samples to goo around too...well sorta...COVID has kinda shut that down these days. At this market, you will find a full variety of conventional and certified organic fruits and vegetables, pasture-raised meat, poultry and eggs, artisan sweet and savory baked goods, fresh milk, butter, yogurt, goat/cow cheeses, fermented foods and pickles, jams, jellies and sauces, flowers, plants, handmade soaps, and more! You name it, this market has it all. One additional note to know...."It's a year-round" market! Unlike most farmer's markets in the area, where you are limited to summer-only and seasonal openings. The market is open only on Saturday mornings between the hours of 9am-1pm. Parking is available on the streets for free and parking meters are free as well on weekend. And, if it helps...all vendors accepts SNAP/Food Stamps and WIC. In all, lot's of great finds and a great way to connect with local farmers in/around the DC metropolitan area. It is definitely worth a visit. It's the perfect place to spend part of your Saturday morning on a nice day...and on the cheap.

So many everyday and unusual products at a fraction of the price you would pay for the same thing in little bottles, boxes or jars. My favorites are oatmeal and spices. Second, the wine section often has good prices on decent wines. Not easy to find these days. Some of them are organic. And finally, there are some freshly prepared foods that make the co-op a destination store for me. Sushi. And those spicy samosas that are kept in the warmer near the soups. Especially the cabbage one! Apparently they are made by Zemen, the Ethiopian grocery on Maple, so you could also look for them there. That is the co-op the way I experience it. But it is waiting for you to discover your own - the possibilities are endless
