I saw this place in my Instagram come up so I thought I'd visit at some point. I had a day off so i drive up there which took awhile but it was worth it. I had a couple other stops along the way. The music was pretty loud when I walked in which made it a little hard to order. The girl that came out the back was helpful . I was a little skeptical of the cobblers being from the south and being disappointed in alot of the food in the D.C. area. I ordered two cobblers, the peach and strawberry. I make my own strawberry at home. They were a little pricey for the size at $10 each but I just went with it. When I got home I sat down to try them both and was pleasantly surprised. The crusts on both and flavor was really good. I just places on of I'd take my mom to them and this passes the test. I would recommended if you're in the area or taking a special trip. read more

The atmosphere was not inviting, and the server gave the impression that he didn't want to be there. I almost walked out because the place was completely empty. Unfortunately, the dessert was just as disappointing. The peach cobbler did not taste like peach, and the ice cream had obvious freezer burn and did not taste fresh. The server simply pulled a small cup from the freezer, which only reinforced that impression. Overall, I won't be returning. It definitely wasn't worth the $11 I spent. read more

Stopped by a peach cobbler after a good expierence during my first trip but the second trip fell FLAT. We arrived on a Friday afternoon for some good sweets or so we thought. I personally ordered the chocolate chip brownie and quite honestly it tasted terrible. There wasn't much taste at all for that matter. Extremely bland overshadowed by icing. If there wasn't ice cream involved it would have tasted worse. The Pizza Hut brownie is 10 times better at a cheaper price point. The is brownie can easily be removed from the menu if there aren't improvements. The service was ok even though she originally forgot my ice cream. I was told some months ago to check this place out and I finally did. I'm a cobbler and banana pudding person when they're done right. I ordered the Blackberry peach cobbler and got a banana pudding after a sample. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too sweet and didn't have chessmen as the cookies. Don't judge me but I prefer the simplicity of nilla wafers over the decadent cookie varieties. I'll be back for the banana pudding and I'll be trying the other menu items ( breakfast is served all day). Flavor wise for the cobbler, it's not grandma's ( extra butter, extra cinnamon) but they were given the recipe and decided not to induce or exasperate any health conditions You can add extra crust to your order ( I shamefully forgot) and a variety of other mix-ins and toppings if that's your thing to any menu item. The gentleman serving was relaxed and that showed with the other customers coming in as well. The prices are reasonable and the food is quality. I enjoyed my orders! The place isn't necessarily designed for too many people but the music and atmosphere make you want to stay. I'll update with some pics the next time I drop by. read more

This place is the definition of a hidden gem - absolutely slept on. The skinny on this place is it's got delicious and well-portioned foods at an insanely affordable price. The signs in the front advertising the $4.99 meals are no joke. I came in curious about how good their food can be at that price and I was blown away. In this economy, the breakfast is a steal - I am starting to feel a little guilty as it feels like I robbed them honestly. The food you get here is what a lesser place charges you 3x for. This brick and mortar shop deserves more recognition and love from the community. The establishment itself is well kept and clean as well. The interior is minimally designed with an orange aesthetic to tie with the peach cobbler theme. What they may lack in contemporary social media glam, they make up with a great product. I hope more people recognize this place for their amazing value. I cannot recommend enough! read more

The Apple cobbler and the cheesecake ice cream were the best hands down! The portions were plentiful and the Customer Service was spectacular. Gabby welcomed us with a great personality and a beautiful smile. The establishment was very clean with plenty of room to walk around......it was spotless. I was so excited to finally have a location away from downtown traffic but after two visits I can confirm this location is not worth visiting. The first time, my first impression of the location, it could be better. Lived in petworth all my life and Takoma DC area is honestly such a tight spot for businesses they tend I really wanted to like this place because it's so close to home, but after multiple visits, I understand why businesses struggle to stay open in this location. The young woman working the register seemed inexperienced in customer service. A friendly smile and nice makeup aren't enough--you also need a welcoming tone, engagement with customers, and consistency throughout the interaction. On our first visit, we waited about 40 minutes for two orders of churros and a caramel apple cobbler with a scoop of what should have been ice cream. The churros were stale, as if they had been sitting out for quite some time, and the ice cream was mostly melted by the time we received it. Meanwhile, two other families who placed similarly sized (or even larger) orders after us received their food first. It honestly seemed like our order had simply been forgotten. We decided to give them another chance and ordered ahead. Our pickup time was scheduled for 8:30 p.m., but by 8:50 p.m. there was still no order and no update. When we went inside to ask about it, the only employee working was already yelling at a DoorDash driver, saying, "If you don't want to wait, then you can cancel the order." Unfortunately, after these experiences, we won't be returning. It's disappointing because having a dessert shop this close to home would have been great, but the poor service, long waits, lack of communication, and inconsistent food quality make it difficult to recommend. The restaurant is spacious with inside seating available. There is even a cute grass wall that says "stay peachy" . Great spot for a picture. They offer a variety of items from over 8 cobbler flavors, cookies, brownies, and milkshake. This is a perfect spot for a late night snack!! I ordered the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream and the cinnamon peach praline cobbler. Both cobblers were sweet delicious. I recommend the praline cobbler if you like praline nuts. Otherwise, the regular cobbler is very good. Both cobblers were a 5/5 FYI parking is limited. I highly recommend a visit. read more

Every time I visit this location, the experience is different. The inconsistency is really disappointing. For example, you can order the same brownie on different days, and it's never made the same way. It feels like some employees genuinely care about quality and presentation, while others don't, and it shows. Another issue is that they've been out of the sweet potato cobbler for far too long. At this point, it makes me question the management and how inventory and operations are being handled. What's most frustrating is that this location is a completely different experience from the downtown location, which I absolutely love. I work nearby and would love to recommend this location to guests staying at my hotel, but I honestly can't do that with confidence. Instead, I end up sending them to the downtown location because I know they'll have a much better and more consistent experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because this location has potential--it just needs consistency, better leadership, and the same level of care that's clearly being delivered at the downtown store. read more

Me and my girlfriend decided to go to the peach cobbler factory for our lunch break. The food, the service and the ambience was a 10+. Myself, I got the bourbon pecan banana pudding. Let me just say this banana pudding has the marine topping with the right amount of sauce on it, which was mixed throughout the banana pudding. The nuts were just the right amount in there for a nice crunch and I'm a person that likes just a traditional banana pudding, but oh my gosh, I want to try all the other the flavors. I also got one of their snickerdoodle cookies which was a large like a personal size cookie, which was very soft moist, and the flavor was amazing. read more

Found out this location was open much closer to me and had to come and try again. Location wise couldn't be better( minus the parking) , so much space and seating on the inside and very clean. Service was fine only two staff members but pleasant none the less. So the cobbler wasn't what I expected I added "pralines" on top and it was more dry walnuts than the cinnamon praline I had expected. Very small portion for the price the cookie is actually bigger than I thought but would have liked more of the cobbler being a peach cobbler factory. The mango peach shake didn't taste that great more like baby formula with no peach or mango flavor the Oreo shake was good but very thick and hard to drink through the small straw given. All in all the menu items and the cobbler was good but things could be better for sure. I was excited to come and even wanted to try more but after the cobbler it discouraged me from doing so and less excited than when I came. I ordered two strawberry peach cobblers and the new york cheesecake pudding. The service here is really friendly and the price point is great too. Back story (there's always a back story): we are soon celebrating a dear friend's birthday. She's a fruit pie person - lemon meringue (that's fruity) and Mrs. Smith's Blackberry Cobbler. My friend has excellent taste! Mrs. Smith's Blackberry Cobbler is my favorite too. Well I searched and searched throughout the US, literally. None to be had...anywhere. I called Mrs. Smith's HQ and sadly learned they had discontinued that luscious pie my friend (and I) loves so much in...2022! There is no way possible that after 3 years, some grocery store somewhere has a stash of Mrs. Smith's Blackberry Cobbler at the back of their freezer. At least not one we would eat. So,my quest began for a delicious Blackberry cobbler to substitute for the discontinued Mrs. Smith's. In my frustrating searched, I stumbled upon The Peach Cobbler in Takoma Park. The actual review begins NOW! I will start with the positive. I visited the shop at about 5:30PM on a Tuesday and actually found lots of parking available - a HUGE plus in that neighborhood. And the shop was nice, a little spartan and somewhat cavernous, but clean. Also, the service was friendly. On to the Blackberry Cobbler. I had already checked out their menu online, so had some idea what I was getting into. I ordered the Blackberry Cobbler and waited for a reasonable time for it to come out. I guess they assumed I was going to carry-out bc it was bagged up. I couldn't wait to try it so I sat in the car and opened the serving (the Cobblers are primarily in single servings in round cups. The accompanying ice cream comes packed separately, which is great for carry-out bc the Cobbler was nice and warm. The Blackberry Cobbler was very disappointing. It is hard for me to understand how the shop got so many 5 star ratings! The Blackberry filling tasted right out of a can. Lots of goop and not so much fruit. I get that blackberries are either not yet in season or just coming into season, but the filling was terrible. Then most people's favorite - the crust. Again, not good. It was NOT crispy and worse yet - it tasted of too much cinnamon! Blackberry filling and cinnamon laden soggy crust are just not a good pairing. The ice cream was a little icy in parts, but pretty good. Better than the Cobbler. I am not sure I will ever be back. If I do return, I guess I would try their namesake, Peach Cobbler. The young man at the counter said it was popular. Nah... I won't go back. I am sad. I was hoping. My quest moves onward. read more

Stopped by the Peach Cobbler Factory in Takoma Park this weekend and was genuinely impressed. I had the Sweet Potato Pecan Cobbler and it was excellent--warm, flavorful, and just the perfect balance of sweet and rich without being over the top. The service was solid--attentive without being pushy--and the space was clean, organized, and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in the experience they're creating. If you're in the area and want a quality dessert, this spot is well worth the visit. I'll definitely be back to try a few more flavors. read more

I've an insatiable sweet tooth, particularly for fruity baked stuff, and so was happy to give this new place a go, despite its sterile look.
