I live in the El Cajon area and frequent the Parkway plaza mall often. Usually when I have a taste for a smoothie, I go to the Jamba Juice in the front of the mall. In an effort to support small business, I bought 3 smoothies from this location. I was not happy with the flavor of one of the smoothies and asked if I could swamp it out for another that cost less. The manager refused to provide my request and basically said he was not going to "dump" the one I didn't like because it would be a waste of his product. Ultimately I feel that race played a role in his decision. I will not stop until everyone I know boycotts this place. If satisfying a paying customer is not more important than a 6.00 smoothie, then I spent my money at the wrong place. I will take my business to Jamba Juice in the future, because they know how to treat customers with respect and appreciation. Not much of a Veggie selection. I got the Kale Mary and it had a predominate custard taste, they must have added some dairy product that was sweet. I was not looking for that. They also poured it over ice (filled to the brim) without asking me if I wanted ice - not ideal, I am not an ice guy. I prefer the veggies straight away. The place was overly staffed with pleasant girls that kept the shop in good clean order. Given the clientele, they probably have to offer overly sweet selections, but I think it would be easy to offer a few all veggie and/or fruit option. read more

I asked the man what a strawberry squeeze was, he told me an icee. After I received it and noticed it was very thick and smoothie like I asked for a strawberry lemonade instead. He charged me for the one I didn't drink that he falsely suggested was something else. After the way I was talked to tonight by the owners some I would say stay away stay far away. I order a large spilt into a medium and small cup like a have a dozen times before and I always pay for my extra cup the lil punk went off about how his daddy not there to give stuff away when I planned on paying for my cup. I have been a customer of them for a very long time. However, I had the worst experience with couple of their employees today. So, I ordered a strawberry banana refresher and made sure from the lady helping me that I didn't want it blended like a smoothie. They still made me a smoothie, so I respectfully told her that she made my order wrong and asked her nicely to change it for me. I could tell by her facial expressions that she got all mad. I didn't say a word to her and waited for my order. While waiting, I heard the cashier who helped me talking to her coworkers about how I told her I wanted it blended and then changed my mind. She started laughing and literally making fun of me in front of everyone. I was so disappointed and embarrassed in front of people. I wish I knew her name but she didn't even give me my receipt. This is the worst experience I have ever had buying something. Also, i asked her if I could talk to a manager because I honestly didn't want to talk to that lady. One of them answered saying that she was the manager which I don't think was the case. She didn't bother to apologize instead she was laughing with the other ones.
