I had one unexpected expense which the roof needed reinforcements for the 20 panels. I have been saving 90% of my power costs since. The process went pretty smooth including Ameren's involvement. I since purchased an EV which also charges at my home and was not included in the power consumption estimate they figure out prior to installing.
