A&J Specialties, give me an estimate to remove a tall dead tree in the middle of the summer 2024. I was on scheduled for the end of Oct 2024 for this company to come to my house an remove the tree. I took vacation time off from work, they show up with only a partial crew. The said to me, couple of employees did not show up this morning and they to reschedule. So, I get rescheduled for the end of December, again on the morning they are due to arrive I get a phone call telling me "the whole crew did not show up this morning, and I will need to reschedule again." I wasted a bunch of time getting the area ready, and wasted another day of vacation time. Not nice to string someone along. Zero value!

We initially had a positive experience with Liberty Tree (Fritz) about four to five months ago when a tree fell through our fence. They responded quickly, removed the tree and debris, and were very accommodating. Based on that, we chose to reach out again when we noticed another tree leaning and wanted to be proactive before it caused more damage. Unfortunately, this second experience has been extremely disappointing. After reaching out nearly a month ago, it's been nothing but excuses and delays. I first contacted Fritz by phone and later followed up with a text on June 30th, which he read. I reached out again before the 4th of July, and he sent me an invoice and promised to come by Monday or Tuesday after work. When I called for an update, he claimed he actually said Tuesday or Wednesday. This back-and-forth has now dragged to the point of now it being contentious. When I called again to get a straight answer, instead of taking accountability or offering a clear timeline, Fritz berated me on the phone. I even received two unprofessional and rude text messages from him--the owner of the company--after he had already failed to show up multiple times without notice. I understand delays can happen, but communication is critical--especially when safety and property damage are involved. At this point, I'm trying to prevent having to replace another section of my fence, and the lack of responsiveness has been unacceptable. Unfortunately, based on this recent experience, I can no longer recommend Liberty Tree Enterprises. Communication and follow-through are non-negotiable in any service-based business, and both were clearly lacking here.

Jeff came to give us an estimate and his crew has been outstanding! They show up on time and these guys are working hard, and rarely if at all took a break. The huge tree right out front had a very narrow space to fall between the house and a pergola and over our septic system and drain field. It was flawless. These guys seriously know their stuff. We are thrilled with their service and impressed with their work ethic and communication too. They not only felled the trees, they woodchipped the huge branches, raked up the mess, and used a leaf blower to clean it up. They also will be hauling some of the big trees to the mill for us. Many of them were leaning toward our home or other personal property and it was too risky for me to attempt to remove them myself. I hired Hervé based on the high recommendation of several friends that had worked with him before. Hervé came out to give a consultation about the health of our trees and the risk of them falling onto our home. He has a knack for reading trees and he is a man that seriously loves trees and working with trees. He is intelligent, professional and honorable. After meeting him and seeing how he treats his work and his respect for trees as well as his clients property, I knew I would hire him. He was punctual both days he came to meet us and to work with our trees. I am so impressed by his attention to his work and the amount of experience he has. He handled even the most trickiest of our trees with grace. He always had several options for how he would handle bringing down each tree and did not force a solution onto a problem. Each of the trees he brought down landed precicesly where he had planned, not a single hitch and no damage was caused to our personal property. After day one this what were left with…read more 1. Front driveway not picked up. 2. Severe scratches on fence. 3. Scratches on car parked in driveway. 4. Four water nozzles garden bed damaged. 5. Debris was in back yard including loose tree bits and big trunk bits covering yard. 6. Tarp left covering ground coverage. 7. Damage to flowers on the higher side. 8. Fence on property line has a broken post. 9. No note was left stating you would be back. 10. The stump is over 4ft tall. They did come back with out the next and this is what were left with. 1. 3-4 inches of bark covering up our ground covering flower. 2. No attempts were made to cover them in a temp fashion. 3. Ground coverage was damaged beyond healing of the plants. I called spoke with Rico Mendez the owner, he claimed I was lying and no one ever complains about his work. He did offer to replace the flowers directly but I wasn't comfortable with letting him in my yard a third time. Instead of that we did agree HE would give up $100 to repair the damages caused but, instead he talked to my local management and never personally paid. My park management paid for the damage instead due to the results of his actions. Also sorry goes a longs way of which he never tried. I personally would never recommend them as they show little respect of the work you put into your garden. I do have video recordings of how they treated my garden and before and after pics. Mistakes can happen but it's how you fix it that matters
