Obviously the prices are a little bit less than the grocery stores, although that gap seems to be closing. Today I got Roma tomatoes for $.99 a pound which I haven't seen in a long time. The produce always looks good compared to other small groceries. I don't really expect a lot from staff in such places other than keeping it clean and doing a accurate bill at the end, so there's not much for me to say in that regard. I do hope these places keep going during this time of inflation because it is getting very difficult to stock up on anything fresh these days.

You can also bring your own anything - bowls, boxes, whatever. We had to cross the street and walk about 100m to get to the picking area. Blueberries and currants were in season as well. Raspberries grow at eye level so I find them much more comfortable to pick. We were able to get just under 15 pounds in 20-30 minutes, and paid ~$45. The berries themselves were delicious. They also have a store with pre-picked fruit, and a variety of drinks, produce, and other items for sale. The parking lot is mostly shaded by trees, which is great for hot summer days.

They had raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and red currants for u-pick. They also has a market with these berries that were pre-picked if you prefer not to pick yourself. The price of u-pick is $3.50/lb. My mum and I ended up with 10.5 pounds of strawberries and blueberries (combined). This place is so gorgeous because they also had a shady area set up with some tables to hang out. There's also a mini kid friendly playground. Plus a food truck on site? Hell yeah!

The big downside is that they're not a full grocery store, so you need to shop elsewhere as well, but there's a butcher a couple doors down and a little Japanese market half a block away, so you can do all your shopping in a single trip here. The sale prices here are quite good, and the quality of the good fruits and veggies here blows away what you'll find at the big grocery chains (but they do still have rotten stuff, so you'll need to pick through what they have to get the good stuff, just like anywhere else).
