Our trainer was odd and made us all feel uncomfortable. I would not recommend this company. Apparently we may have had the same guy previously and folks similarly didn't feel comfortable. Comments about trans folks were not handled well, as was the anatomically correct female dummy. read more

Walked in nervous and scared, walked out more confident. Sometimes it takes a major life event to consider taking a CPR course. You may have recently lost a loved one, had a friend suffer from trauma or became a first time parent of a newborn. Since I have never taken a CPR class before , I wasn't sure what to expect. The owner, Eric Thomson was very prompt to return my phone call immediately. Being a brand spankin new mother of a 2 week old baby, taking a CPR class was crucial for my husband and I. Chris Lorange was our instructor. We explained our situation and they happily invited our 2 week old baby to be present in the class. My husband and I were able to take breaks as needed for feeding and diaper changes. Chris also mentioned his wife runs a daycare, which helped us relate better with out gazillion questions. Chris was very slow, patient and listened to what we had to say. He took his time showing us the "hands on" correct approach of CPR, AED and basic first aid. There were only 3 of us in this 4 hour hands on class which made it small, intimate and personal. Chris was willing to take all the appropriate time needed to make sure that we were more comfortable and confident in the skills we had just learned. Survival CPR and First Aid has a beautiful website with a whole bunch of classes to fit your schedule and needs. We will definitely be back to continue training and refresh the skills that could save a life. read more

It's been a while since I've had a CPR and/or first aid class and I must say that common sense has certainly improved since then... Jose brought along many ideas, thoughts and instructions than I ever thought were part of this training. I feel so much more ready for dealing with a real life incident and my confidence allows me to deal with the students and people around me who could actually have an issue. I was due to update my CPR certificate, so I signed up for a course online. As usual, their website was easy to navigate. The blended course I took was partially online with in person check offs. It was very thorough and worked well with my busy schedule. In class, the instructor was friendly and knowledgeable. I just completed the CPR, AED, and first aid class. My company sent me to Survival CPR office because I missed the office session. When I got there I discovered that I was the only person signed up for the class. I thought this would be awkward, but it wasn't at all. The instructor was great. Took me through all the lessons in a casual conversational style. Being the only person actually made the class go faster as I didn't have to wait for twenty other people to finish practicing. Great training and I highly recommend anyone wanting to learn CPR and first aid to use Survival CPR. read more

Elmer did a great job- very informative while keeping it intertesting, short and to the point.

This was the worst CPR class I have ever taken, and I have taken CPR every two years for the past 22 years. The instructor had not watched the film, the only practice was to do compressions once each, and the practice changed again to a different compression rate. There was NO first aid practice, some of the information was incorrect in the video and from the instructor, and the instructor was unprofessional several times. What a waste of money, I am so disappointed, and frustrated. I don't really care for CPR FIRST AID, but I feel like I should take it again somewhere else just for practice. I do not recommend this location in Windsor or the instructor that I had. However, two years ago, the lady who taught the course was amazing! She was a female firefighter and really knew her stuff. read more

CPR recertification classes are required every two years to maintain my professional license. I dread when that time approaches as a little over 11 years ago I had to perform it on my husband (who didn't make it) and I suffer from PTSD related to that day. My employer scheduled the recertification course in-office for our entire staff and Elmer was our trainer. She had filled him in on my situation prior to my arrival and Elmer could not have been more understanding, which made the class much easier to deal with. Thank you, Elmer. read more

I did the BLS and ACLS recertification. They were awesome with communications by email or phone from my questions before, during, and after my course. They worked at making sure there was a course that would work with my schedule. During the course, I was given plenty of attention, making sure I was correctly doing compressions, breathing, etc. Their equipment was up to date, clean, and abundant. I took ACLS with Rocky at Survival CPR this past weekend and it surpassed my expectations. I've taken this class many times and it always feels sterile - big room full of people that don't want to be there with an instructor who just goes through the motions and plays the DVD. Well, that was not my experience at Survival. The class size was smaller than normal, so there was a lot of personalized discussion and it never felt like it dragged. Rocky clearly has tons of experience with both teaching AND practical application of ACLS, which made for great stories to tie in the material. The classroom was very well kept and all equipment was in pristine condition. I would highly recommend Survival CPR for your training needs. read more

I needed to do a healthcare provider recertification and was told buy a friend to look into this company website was easy and user friendly. The online test good and challenging need that once in the while. The hands on was fun informative as well since CPR has some changes and refresher on having techniques is always good. AED is always worth the price it's a very valuable tool to have. Erick the instructor has great experience and is super with the classes. Online portion had super useful simulations that are kind of like playing Sims, CPR version (I'm not sure if this available all the time or due to covid19). In class was super helpful and I really enjoyed the whole experience. The lady teacher was absolutely great. read more

If you need to get CPR certified, this is the way to go! The entire process was quick and easy. The blended method lets you do the classwork online using the America Heart Association online training, then schedule the skill instruction for just the hands-on portion. They were able to meet with me the same day! Since it's just the skills, the meeting was short and focused. There was no rush, and he made sure I was comfortable with the technique and answered all my questions. Eric is a great instructor. He gave clear instruction, and is very friendly and professional. I left the training feeling confident that I can take care of business if faced with an emergency. Great online course that included informative modules with interactive learning and a simulation center that offered a variety of scenarios. After the online course, we were able to practice performing CPR and ask as many questions as needed. Not only did we get the hands-on practice, but the staff was very pleasant and professional. I live in Windsor, so the drive over was pretty convenient. Not too far away from Santa Rosa and Healdsburg and it's relatively easy access from the 101! It was quick and easy to complete this class for CPR and AED certification. There were only three in our class. It was a combination of video and "hands on". Our instructor, Elmer Glasser, is very experienced and knowledgeable. He made sure that all our concerns and questions were addressed and he made it a pleasant as well as informative experience.
